My Plaid only takes 5 minutes to warm up the battery in dragstrip mode unless it was stored in freezing weather. If I've been driving it for a while, it only takes about 2 minutes to get into the ready state since the battery is already optimally warm just from normal driving.

@@maxym_de in the first race Tesla didn't use DragStrip Mode (+launch control) that can manually enable with main screen,, and in the second race the Tesla use it,, and they just advetised the "Sexy Button" product that can enable the DragStrip Mode just with one click of button without touching/searching in the screen Menu,, *if in the first race Tesla did use DragStrip Mode (*even without wait to preconditioning the battery) the Tesla should win maybe just a bit slower than 2nd race by 0,1/0,2s
Zeekr 001FR has a 'Raikkonen' drive mode. You have to pay extra to get that. Not sure if this car has it. This mode is developed with F1 champion Kimi Raikkonen. Also, the true advantage of Zeekr 001FR is it's corning speed. There are videos on TH-cam of testing these two cars by Chinese car media. On straight line, they were close. But running on track, Zeekr was much faster.

No, you need noticeably more power to even keep up with the Plaid... Reason are the carbon sleeved motors in the Tesla apparently co developed with SpaceX, it simply doesn't lose torque as the power increases, look at the Plaid power curve. Even the Taycan turbo GT with a heavy 2 speed gearbox and 100hp more won't keep up with the Plaid after 150 mph
Maybe on prepped surface, but on normal road, you will never get ideal numbers, plaid can do 0-60 1.9 on prepped track but on street it’s closer to 2.2s.
I’ve driven a model 3 for 4 years now. I’m picking up my Zeekr 001 performance on the 1st of August; my Tesla feels like a piece of plastic garbage compared to the Zeekr. The quality and ride are on a completely different level.

Zeekr is a Chinese car manufactured that came out of nowhere?? It belongs to Geely Group as a sister brand of Lynk & Co targeting high end electric car while Lynk & Co targeting low to mid end market. So even it is funded in 2021 the brand is announced by Geely and Volvo in 2016 in German.

This is why I like Carwow, they do 2-3 races with the cars they have, if one car wins twice consecutively, that car wins at only 2 races, if the car wins the first race and loses the second, there’s a third one as the decider. There’s none of that here, I may love Tesla, but please be fair in preparing these drag races, I like having any of my favorite brands win on level playing fields, if the Plaid gets a preconditioned battery, the Zeekr gets its battery preconditioned. Do your research with the cars you work with and test them with their selected drivers before putting them head to head.

When I saw the stats, I thought there was absolutely no chance the Tesla is losing this. The Plaid is not actually 1020hp. We don't know how Tesla measures their kW power but on dyno, the Tesla reaches up to 1,100hp. So realistically the difference, given that Zeekr provides more reliable numbers, is just over 150hp. That with nearly 300kg difference combined with the fact that the Model S is more aerodynamic means only baad stuff for the Zeekr.

The interior starts falling apart in model S after 3 years. My family in HK owns a model S and we will never buy one again, I don't care if goes from 0-60 in 1 second. The build quality of Chinese made cars are getting very close to Japanese and German cars, and I'm not surprised since they have been making parts for them for decades.
I like the Zeekr, but it's unlikely to come to the U.S. anytime soon. I'd stick with the tested/proven Model S Plaid if I had the money to drop. But for now, I'd probably go for the new Model 3 Performance. I've sat in the seats and they are super comfortable and supportive and I love the look of the Highland refresh. It's a lot for the money. Now if the S3XY buttons worked a bit better in my older Model 3, I'd REALLY like that. I programmed one to do a brief horn honk and it has a frightening lag (+>1 second, which sounds like not much but it's usually far past the time I need it). And then there is the door presenter option. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. And sometimes when I just walk by the car (several feet away) in a parking lot or if am sitting close to it at a restaurant, then it pops open when I don't want it to. I have to circle back or get up from my table and close the door again.
It is the opposite here in New Zealand we do not get the Model S but soon we will be getting Zeekr EVs. I drive a Model S Performance 2020 as it is the last of the right hand drive Model S.

You guys absolutely rock in general. Best 3rd party Tesla product company I’ve come across so far. If anyone is on the fence about getting Enhance’ sexy buttons or knob, just go for it. You won’t regret it. Hell, the navigator unit that is the brains behind it, justifies the cost on its own with everything it lets you customize. FWIW, I have a ‘24 M3 RWD. I use Navigator for presenting driver’s door (when I’m away from home), and the continuous autopilot, which is really nice. I use 6 buttons. 4 of which I stuck under the center armrest. 1 dedicated to the glovebox (this one is on the globebox), 1 for folding and unfolding the mirrors, 1 for presenting the passenger door or either of the rear doors (single click, double click, and long press), 1 for turning on all interior dome lights, 1 for flicking on and off the brights, and 1 for turning on seat cooling, seat heating, or steering wheel heating. I use a number of these daily.

To clear things up 2019-21 model 3 standard range plus cars have a 0-60 of 5.1-5.3 seconds with a 1/4 mile of 13.1-13.3 2022-23 Model 3 RWD (previously known as standard range plus) has a 0-60 of 5.8-6.2 seconds with a 1/4 mile of 13.9-14.3 2024 Model 3 RWD has the same specifications as the 2022-23 RWD with a 5.8-6.2 0-60 with a 13.9-14.3 1/4 mile. Now for extra information, all model 3 rwd's are limited by 50 HP however tesla does not offer the acceleration boost, so for anyone wondering about the true horsepower of a standard range plus model 3, including an RWD model 3, it is 333hp since that's the amount it would have after a 50 horsepower boost option. However since the cars are speed limited from 0-45 mph by 50 hp, that's the reason why the HP remains 283, and also the reason why you may notice that they feel quicker on a roll than off the line. If tesla gave the boost option, the 2019-21 standard plus cars would do a 4.6 0-60, and the 2022-23 RWD cars including the 2024 RWD highland would do 5.3 0-60. Hope this helps!

American companies don't want to accept it, while European companies already joined the Chinese block, if Japanese companies joined them as well, we'll get the best automotive era of the century for sure. The US won't allow Chinese carmakers to just sell their cars in the USA, for the same reason they banned Huawei - US companies can't compete. I love Tesla - I think it's a great brand. And I believe that Tesla will be extremely competitive against all chinese competition coming up - in this video they lost and won, and that's basically what will happen in real life - it's going to be super competitive! But think about all the other US carmakers - Ford, GM, Chrysler - they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of competing with any of that; they're out! They won't sell any cars outside the USA in a couple of years from now; in the USA, they're going to be protected by government tarriffs, bans, and maybe they'll make some videos of Chinese cars catching fire, creating the usual FUD - but the reality is, Chinese gadgets are the best, and cars are also the best, and only Tesla and maybe BMW and Mercedes, Porsche / VW can compete. US carmakers can't - they're toast. Tesla has Elon Musk and an entire team of geniuses. They will be fine against this Chinese EV onslaught. But the other carmakers are over. Even Toyota will have to up their EV game to have any chance.
What is really impressive on the zeekr is the battery. Plaid is battery limited, motors are good for a lot more than 1200hp. New model 3 performance is battery limited as well. Tesla need better batteries.

The S3XY buttons are so useful for heating up the battery no matter where you are. I got my 2024 Model 3 Performance to do a 10.75 @ 127 mph 1/4 mile by preheating the battery for 7 minutes. It would have been closer to 10.95 without heating the battery. I really love using the S3XY buttons to control the turn signals too. The new buttons on the Highland Model 3 make no sense at all. I just use the S3XY buttons now.

and in the second race the Tesla use it,, and they just advetised the "Sexy Button" product that can enable the DragStrip Mode just with one click of button without touching/searching in the screen Menu,,
*if in the first race Tesla did use DragStrip Mode (*even without wait to preconditioning the battery) the Tesla should win maybe just a bit slower than 2nd race by 0,1/0,2s

Zeekr 001FR has a 'Raikkonen' drive mode. You have to pay extra to get that. Not sure if this car has it. This mode is developed with F1 champion Kimi Raikkonen. Also, the true advantage of Zeekr 001FR is it's corning speed. There are videos on TH-cam of testing these two cars by Chinese car media. On straight line, they were close. But running on track, Zeekr was much faster.

Seems Biased, you wanted Tesla to win you stated "for the community", no temperature check on Zeekr n why would someone wait for Tesla to reach optimum temperature. Also since you mention you don't know Chinese can't be sure you selected the quickest mode in Zeekr. Also last race zeekr 0-100 in 2.45 doesn't make sense, should be 2.07 but i do expect Tesla gadget channel to be biased.
No, you need noticeably more power to even keep up with the Plaid... Reason are the carbon sleeved motors in the Tesla apparently co developed with SpaceX, it simply doesn't lose torque as the power increases, look at the Plaid power curve. Even the Taycan turbo GT with a heavy 2 speed gearbox and 100hp more won't keep up with the Plaid after 150 mph
Maybe on prepped surface, but on normal road, you will never get ideal numbers, plaid can do 0-60 1.9 on prepped track but on street it’s closer to 2.2s.

I’ve driven a model 3 for 4 years now. I’m picking up my Zeekr 001 performance on the 1st of August; my Tesla feels like a piece of plastic garbage compared to the Zeekr. The quality and ride are on a completely different level.

Zeekr is a Chinese car manufactured that came out of nowhere?? It belongs to Geely Group as a sister brand of Lynk & Co targeting high end electric car while Lynk & Co targeting low to mid end market. So even it is funded in 2021 the brand is announced by Geely and Volvo in 2016 in German.

When S-plane lost the first round, the battery temperature became a point, this means S-Plade has its know weak point while NO ONE IN THE RACE Know how to set best performance of Zeeker. The Sapphire also has no reliability records, its build quality is no better than the Plaid and it is severely overpriced. When the new Plaid becomes available it’ll be faster of course and will render the Sapphire useless. Real talk.

This is why I like Carwow, they do 2-3 races with the cars they have, if one car wins twice consecutively, that car wins at only 2 races, if the car wins the first race and loses the second, there’s a third one as the decider. There’s none of that here, I may love Tesla, but please be fair in preparing these drag races, I like having any of my favorite brands win on level playing fields, if the Plaid gets a preconditioned battery, the Zeekr gets its battery preconditioned. Do your research with the cars you work with and test them with their selected drivers before putting them head to head.

When I saw the stats, I thought there was absolutely no chance the Tesla is losing this. The Plaid is not actually 1020hp. We don't know how Tesla measures their kW power but on dyno, the Tesla reaches up to 1,100hp. So realistically the difference, given that Zeekr provides more reliable numbers, is just over 150hp. That with nearly 300kg difference combined with the fact that the Model S is more aerodynamic means only baad stuff for the Zeekr.
On the other hand, it is more of an SUV, so still incredible too.

The interior starts falling apart in model S after 3 years. My family in HK owns a model S and we will never buy one again, I don't care if goes from 0-60 in 1 second. The build quality of Chinese made cars are getting very close to Japanese and German cars, and I'm not surprised since they have been making parts for them for decades.

I like the Zeekr, but it's unlikely to come to the U.S. anytime soon. I'd stick with the tested/proven Model S Plaid if I had the money to drop. But for now, I'd probably go for the new Model 3 Performance. I've sat in the seats and they are super comfortable and supportive and I love the look of the Highland refresh. It's a lot for the money.
Now if the S3XY buttons worked a bit better in my older Model 3, I'd REALLY like that. I programmed one to do a brief horn honk and it has a frightening lag (+>1 second, which sounds like not much but it's usually far past the time I need it). And then there is the door presenter option. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. And sometimes when I just walk by the car (several feet away) in a parking lot or if am sitting close to it at a restaurant, then it pops open when I don't want it to. I have to circle back or get up from my table and close the door again.
Do you have the second gen buttons? They have virtually no lag.

It is the opposite here in New Zealand we do not get the Model S but soon we will be getting Zeekr EVs. I drive a Model S Performance 2020 as it is the last of the right hand drive Model S.

You guys absolutely rock in general. Best 3rd party Tesla product company I’ve come across so far. If anyone is on the fence about getting Enhance’ sexy buttons or knob, just go for it. You won’t regret it. Hell, the navigator unit that is the brains behind it, justifies the cost on its own with everything it lets you customize. FWIW, I have a ‘24 M3 RWD. I use Navigator for presenting driver’s door (when I’m away from home), and the continuous autopilot, which is really nice. I use 6 buttons. 4 of which I stuck under the center armrest. 1 dedicated to the glovebox (this one is on the globebox), 1 for folding and unfolding the mirrors, 1 for presenting the passenger door or either of the rear doors (single click, double click, and long press), 1 for turning on all interior dome lights, 1 for flicking on and off the brights, and 1 for turning on seat cooling, seat heating, or steering wheel heating. I use a number of these daily.

To clear things up
2019-21 model 3 standard range plus cars have a 0-60 of 5.1-5.3 seconds with a 1/4 mile of 13.1-13.3
2022-23 Model 3 RWD (previously known as standard range plus) has a 0-60 of 5.8-6.2 seconds with a 1/4 mile of 13.9-14.3
2024 Model 3 RWD has the same specifications as the 2022-23 RWD with a 5.8-6.2 0-60 with a 13.9-14.3 1/4 mile.
Now for extra information, all model 3 rwd's are limited by 50 HP however tesla does not offer the acceleration boost, so for anyone wondering about the true horsepower of a standard range plus model 3, including an RWD model 3, it is 333hp since that's the amount it would have after a 50 horsepower boost option.
However since the cars are speed limited from 0-45 mph by 50 hp, that's the reason why the HP remains 283, and also the reason why you may notice that they feel quicker on a roll than off the line.
If tesla gave the boost option, the 2019-21 standard plus cars would do a 4.6 0-60, and the 2022-23 RWD cars including the 2024 RWD highland would do 5.3 0-60.

The US won't allow Chinese carmakers to just sell their cars in the USA, for the same reason they banned Huawei - US companies can't compete.
I love Tesla - I think it's a great brand. And I believe that Tesla will be extremely competitive against all chinese competition coming up - in this video they lost and won, and that's basically what will happen in real life - it's going to be super competitive!
But think about all the other US carmakers - Ford, GM, Chrysler - they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of competing with any of that; they're out! They won't sell any cars outside the USA in a couple of years from now; in the USA, they're going to be protected by government tarriffs, bans, and maybe they'll make some videos of Chinese cars catching fire, creating the usual FUD - but the reality is, Chinese gadgets are the best, and cars are also the best, and only Tesla and maybe BMW and Mercedes, Porsche / VW can compete. US carmakers can't - they're toast.

What is really impressive on the zeekr is the battery. Plaid is battery limited, motors are good for a lot more than 1200hp. New model 3 performance is battery limited as well. Tesla need better batteries.

The S3XY buttons are so useful for heating up the battery no matter where you are. I got my 2024 Model 3 Performance to do a 10.75 @ 127 mph 1/4 mile by preheating the battery for 7 minutes. It would have been closer to 10.95 without heating the battery. I really love using the S3XY buttons to control the turn signals too. The new buttons on the Highland Model 3 make no sense at all. I just use the S3XY buttons now.
I was thinking the sext buttons to help with the indicators would be a win. Where did you put them?
