- Jacob from Airbag Man explaining Airbag Suspension operating heights & maximum pressures, this applies to all Airbag Man leaf helper & full air suspension kits.
Step 1: Install Airbags.
Step 2: Set operating height of the airbags on both sides.
Step 3: Take a reference point measurement from centre of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel arch or tray.
Step 4: Load the vehicle & watch the suspension sag down.
Step 5: Add air into the airbags using either your portable compressor via the inflation valves or on board air supply system & return your vehicle back up to its level ride height position (reference point measurement).
Step 6: Enjoy a safe & comfortable ride!

fit a compressor ,tank and a ride hight valve ,Workes for me
You quote inches. Why not metric? From top to bottom crimp plate. Is that overall the plate or inside measurement and how about printing maximum air pressure on a aluminum label that comes with the kit that you can affix next to the air valve.
G'day @ronvds4713, thanks for your comment and great question. We measure in imperial because the Firestone Airbags are designed in America and measure in inches. Hi, I have a Hilux SR5 with a GVM upgrade decked for remote camping slide on camper. I wish to add airbags to both assists stable ride, suspension and to use to level our bed at night, I have been told the can damage chassis, I guess that's cause they overinflated? What's your advice.
What is the minimum pressure or hight to have the bags? at

How much air pressure can you put in an airbag?
There is no instruction book supplied and could not scan or download any that were helpful for $890 cost you could include installation instructions and relevant information

How's the ride without load and run 5-10psi? Is it comfortable or stiff?
G'day and thanks for the comment. Depending on the load on your vehicle would depend on the way the vehicle rides. It's important to note that the leaf helper airbags have a recommended height rather than pressure whereas our coil helper bags have a minimum pressure.
Leaf helper bags often require varying pressure from vehicle to vehicle to acheive the recommended ride height based on the vehicles load.

How high or what's the max height that air bags will lift a mini truck? And wheres the measurement reference point?

I went 10-15 psi over max suggested . Did i damage the bags ?

I just noticed today that my front airbags will not release the air. They are being stuck at 100 Psi for the last three hours..

Airbag Man I bought truck with the airbags installed it's a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 2-wheel drive ,I looked under and the airbags say Firestone I currently have them flat with no pressure and when I hit a bump I hear a knocking sound
