Macao is so rich that it gives free money to its legal residents every year. A friend of mine is an American citizen and has lived in the U.S. for more than 25 years. Over the years, he has received thousands of dollars from the Macao government, only because he was born there.

Not surprised since the world has been bleeding us dry for centuries. According to white house estimates, we lose hundreds of billions per year, hence why President Trump talks about the unfair trade tarrifs. Thank God he won! It was American tax payer dollars that built this ffs pissses me off, and here in the US we live to work ie slaves..... Then again, I doubt ordinary Chinese people get to benefit, but what do I know. Looks expensive to go there!

@Hong Kong Wandering TV As someone who has visited both cities, I don't quite agree. Macaus is more historical and is more cultural in places, but when it comes to the casinos, nah, Las Vegas has more ambiance. And besides, most of the better and beautiful casinos in Macau are the US based ones. I stayed at the Four Seasons in Macau and it was indeed sweet.
a lot comment about being expensive city, well..i believe anyone in macau can afford spending in 5* hotel or high cost restaurant , not because ppl are rich, average or above average..monthly salary around 2000-3000 usd, obvious there are poverty here, but its kinda like less than 2% the last time i checked, but yah not everyone in macau go and enjoy those luxury stuffs. they were basically made for tourist
I live here lol. Barely sees videos about macao. Not really known but ye this place is pretty boring when you stay here for as long as me but for guests this place is great. Im happy that this place finally gets some notice on youtube even though there are lots of tourists.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit Macau on a few occasions just before the Portuguese handed back the territory in 1999. The city brimmed with atmosphere and had very little street traffic. On a good day you could have the St. Paul ruins, the Leal Senado Square, Guia lighthouse and Monte fortress almost to yourself. There were practically no highrises and you could get an excellent Portuguese (or Maccanese or Cantonese) meal for a few patacas. Accommodation consisted of smaller hotels and pensions. The only OTT place was the long-standing Lisboa Hotel and Casino., which was worth a visit or two in its own right for its mind-blowing tackiness. Since then the Chinese have unfortunately managed to soil a once charming colonial town that looked back at hundreds of years of grown history with their obscene money greed and by building these ridiculous hotels. A fake Eiffel Tower, seriously…?! A mock-up “Venetian” canal under a painted “sky”, you’ve got to be kidding me. Not to mention that Macau is now swamped with rude mainlanders and largely riff-raff Western tourists who only lodge at these hotel abominations so they can make themselves feel a little more important for a few days and post bragging pictures on their pathetic social media pages. In my opinion, the Kotai strip, entirely built on reclaimed land, is an artificial and sterile place oozing sheer boredom, little more than a glorified tourist trap with grotesquely over-priced “attractions”.
It's not only informative, beautiful, scenic but a wonderful one. I really enjoyed the entire activities that you so perfectly covered. If you have such other videos, kindly guide me so that I can watch them also. Many thanks for sharing this fantastic video. Best regards, Nassa

If you arent a gambler,Macau is for 1-2 days max. Go to the fantastic Venetian for a walk,to the main europe style square,to the mall and for good portugese food and snacks and thats all, after these you will want to return to HK as soon as possible.
Imagine Macau just next to Hong Kong. Both are superb cities in their own way. This is how the Chinese cities grow even it is so close to each other. Just imagine the nos of such cities inside mainland China in coming years. Chinese people are just into economy growth and nothing less.
