    The mic helps a lot;). Congratulations on your drive to grade(!), and for MAKING the time for yourself to train openly! Your message is always strong and positive. You are BOTH a continuous inspiration to me. Thank you, and best of luck on this new(ish) journey!

      Ah, Mark! I love this comment so much, because it's so hard to put myself out there, especially considering some of the rude comments I get as a woman 😅 some Maga clown called me overweight and middle-aged, and that he could never listen a woman. Of course I don't take it seriously, but it still is a bit of a papercut to the soul 🤣

      People can be so UNNECESSARILY CRUEL, particularly when it’s CLEARLY projection. Your beautiful strength and courage are most appreciated and admirable, and I look forward to seeing you reach your goals , victorious;))!! Thank you for your kind response, Zoe, Sensei. Take care!

    I’m jealous, I only got to second Dan in Kenpo. Took me 15 years to do it too.
    The other 20 years I trained were schools closing down and having to start someplace else which taught a different style and so on.
    I’m proud of you!

      Ah, what a special message to recieve! I thrive on this kindness, truly 🩷
      It is so hard when dojos close and students are left with no one to train them. We've picked up a number of students who have found themselves at a loose end because their dojo closed down or their instructor emigrated. At least now we are in an age where we can train with and follow instructors from all over the world, but nothing can replace the dojo.
      I am honoured to share my journey with you 🙇🏻‍♀️

      I like it! These were being sold in our local H&M, because South Africans are suckers for Americana! I love a soft sweater, I cannot lie

    The mike does help a lot. Si what time / date will these be on

    • @GojuRyuKarateCentre
      @GojuRyuKarateCentre  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mic was definitely worth it then! We actually used affiliate money to buy it, which is even better 👌
      I am aiming for every Tuesday and Thursday, between 9 and 10am CAT. I know it's very very late (or super early) for our friends in the Americas.

  • @diakidis3167
    @diakidis3167 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Yes, much better with microphone. I don't understand why people are so rude. Yeah the microphone might go crazy with a loud kia! I would say to strengthen the legs more, and to stretch the whole body, it will give you a more relaxed feel, and move better, also with stronger legs your base will be more steady.

    • @diakidis3167
      @diakidis3167 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can send a video on whole body stretching, if you like.

    • @GojuRyuKarateCentre
      @GojuRyuKarateCentre  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I should stretch more before my livestreams! Luckily, 90% of people are lovely on our livestreams - if I start to get burnout again, I'll just take a break rather than quit
