  • In this series, I will show some tricks you can use in OpenRCT2 to make better looking stuff. In this episode, I will show you how to make a realistic river rapids ride!
    I tried to condense the video as much as possible, but it's still quite long.. I still hope you will not let this discourage you from following this tutorial and building an awesome river rapids ride! It's quite straightforward if you know what you're doing :)
    You can join my RCT2 Discord here: / discord . All If you join my Discord you will get access to the multiplayer server, and all my tutorials are listed there as well. I will be happy to help with any questions you may have!
    This guide was made using OpenRCT2-0.2.1-develop.

    Even though this video is focusing on the ride, I really appreciate you showing about other things in your videos such as tips for scenery usage and what not to make more realistic elements! It's like a whole new world has opened up! :) Thanks for the vid.

      I like to use heartline twister track to decorate other tracks! With it you can put your lift hill or booster track in a round tunnel, for example.

    I'm wondering, why didn't you use special track elements such as river rabids?

    • @Deurklink
      @Deurklink  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your track will be invisible in the end, so those pieces will not be visible. There are some tricks you can do with it but I guess that will be for a later video :)

    Whenever I try to use a river rapids lift as stairs and angle the ground below it, it glitches through the lift :(

    I know this video is old as hell by now but what are the stats on this ride? Does it actually count as a River Rapids ride or does it count as a Lift?

    • @Deurklink
      @Deurklink  ปีที่แล้ว

      It counts as a lift, so the stats don't really matter!

  • @bockjrnl
    @bockjrnl ปีที่แล้ว

    When I change the ride type to 'lift' for example. The boats often stack on top of each other. Am i Missing something?

    • @Deurklink
      @Deurklink  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you use a ride type like crooked house the vehicles can pass through each other.. you should first use a normal ride type, then spawn the vehicles by putting it in test mode and then change it to crooked house. I don't have this issue when I change a ride to a lift

      @@shatzinorris1417 Ok, but why not? I've played a lot of RCT1/2 in the past, but Parkitect really is a good follow up. When seeing this video, how hard it is to make something that even looks half way decent, I really wonder why go trough all the trouble when there's a good replacement.

      With a few mods rtc2 is perfect

    I suppose this is only for decoration since you are cheating... I really do t like when people exploit in games... Rct was always about management and creation but some people have turned the game into sandbox no fun game.

      Considering how we have RCT CLASSIC on mobile... I'd say sandbox parks are the perfect idea... great work... a little confusing but I can rewatch until I get it
