Very cool... I love these bikes from the 1970s. I restored a 1972 Yamaha DS7 250, but had to sell it when I moved south. I miss it dearly. I'll have to watch your progress on this!
I've got a couple earlier models of the DS7, A YDS3 Catalina and a YDS3C Big Bear. They both need work as well. Maybe I'll get to them while I'm still ambulatory.
@@oldguysoldbikes Yup... Do what you can while you can. That's why I'm restoring a 1958 Austin Healey "Bugeye" Sprite over on my channel. It's a dirty thankless job, but somebody has to do it...
Great catch on what caused the loss of spark!!!

That sure is a sharp looking ol enduro. I'm sure you'll get it sorted
I will, or die trying.
As long as the woodruff landing is not wallered out, you should be ok when the new one is installed.
That's what I'm counting on.
It's a really nice bike Jack. Hopefully a new key will sort it out.
Best wishes, Dean.
It didn't
Looks like them shocks are toast
I didn't notice that until I started editing the video. It looks like the plunger might be bent. I'll check it out further in the next video.
@@oldguysoldbikeslooks like there is no damping as if there is no oil in them or valving is damaged
