  • This harmony lesson of Gonna Settle Down (a traditional Flatt and Scruggs tune) is based on the harmonies of Tony Rice and Doyle Lawson as recorded by the Bluegrass Album Band. Listen here: • Gonna Settle Down
Gonna Settle Down - Key of G
    Dominic (15) - Lead
    Veronica (13) - Tenor
    Will - Banjo
For two-part harmonies, the singers have a little more flexibility on their harmonies. Sometimes, the harmonies are close together, with the there being no harmony notes between the lead singer and tenor singer. At other times, the lead singer and tenor singer "diverge" and leave a harmony note between them. This is all part of the fun of two-part harmonies in bluegrass.
