The refs allow moving screens akin to an offensive lineman blocking, and initiating contact as the offensive player used to be considered a charge every time, but now it’s almost always considered a defensive foul. If all you can't tell that is a 9 foot rim then all of you need to stop watching basketball. NBA lowered Rims now on occasion for Ratings and Clicks. That is a 9'5" Rim and also the Ball is a 28.0 in circumference compared to a 30 inch ball in the 1990's. Doncic isn't tall. Also he has short arms. Also was jumping and still not always getting that close to the Rim. Those rims are barely 9'5"

73 points? just insane. Definition of one man offense. And he is still years away from his prime
Should have been a 70 point triple-double, but tim brickaway jr couldn't hit the broad side of a barn...
funny thing is, it doesn't seem they were looking very much at luka from these clips. Plenty of other players getting touches
Should have been a 73 pt triple double
That first left handed lay upby luka against young was too easy
Modern day offense meets modern day defence
Those slow rhythm layups are too destructive against defence nowadays, i wish i had the same results on playground matches
Luka could've gotten a 73pt tripdub if his teammates hit shots
That transition into the ad was funny 😆
Which player/s realistic re salary etc would change this Hawks team? Brogdon, Finney-Smith can defend and maybe give Trae and Johnson a chance to play their game
Best segway to manscape 😂
not that it would change the hawks, they're shit on defense regardless, but the rules need to change, it's too easy for the offensive player
You realize over the last 5 years, every single rule change has benefited the defense right? Offense isn’t to easy, it’s just easily the most skilled era ever
@@kennethhanes5702 aight
You do realize all the RECENT rule changes favor the Defense, don't you.
@@kennethhanes5702Wrong- stop parroting JJ Reddick. This is by far the most traveling, carrying, moving screen heavy era ever. The gather step was added officially, so now players end up getting away with 4 steps too often. The refs now let players carry the ball by the definition of the rule, because they simply don’t call that rule. The refs allow moving screens akin to an offensive lineman blocking, and initiating contact as the offensive player used to be considered a charge every time, but now it’s almost always considered a defensive foul. You’re allowed one step after the catch before you have to dribble, now it’s two because of the gather step, but refs constantly allow 3-4 steps after the catch.
Rules changes mean nothing- it’s about how the game is called.
Nice to read a post like yours. It was like reading my own thoughts. And 30 years ago the Eurostep would be a travel. @@lukekiefer5964
You know the NBA is in a bad place when we have 70 point games 3 times a year now it seems.
Only two, not three.
@@imdbtruth Giannis had 64 on top of that and we still have the rest of the NBA Season to go. 70 points in a game is now the new 50. Used to see 70 points one a decade. No defense in the NBA and the rules are two relaxed offensive players can do pretty much whatever they want and the defense can't do anything about it anymore
@@josephcox3091 No it's not. There's still only been 10 players ever score 70+, it's not the new 50.
@@imdbtruth and 4 out of the 10 40% came within the last 6 seasons. Booker, Lucka, Embid, and Lillard.
@@josephcox3091 Still only been 10 of them in history, so what's your point? My point about Luka is that he did it in only 33 shots. A lot more guys could score 70+ if they're routinely jacking up 45+ shots like Kobe or Wilt, but doing it in 33 shots with less Free Throws, it's the best performance ever imo.
Meanwhile, the Clippers are quietly mowing down everything in front of them
being the only team to get up by 35+ points in any game against Boston ~in~ Boston this season.
This kid is an alien like Victor Wenbanyama.
You don’t need 70 points to “destroy” the 18-27 Hawks. I’m sure it makes it easier tho.
the math saying that he generated 100 points is well... a little off :D as 7 assists are anything from 14-21 points
I'm not even sure if they make this call anymore but I think that very first basket by Luka is a moving screen by Lively. It's kind of close because Lively doesn't exactly set his feet and then move again he's just running in front and Luka follows him so maybe its clean. Why I like this point explosion more than the others last week is the efficiency.
There were many uncalled moving screens, travels, and offensive fouls on Luka's baskets. The NBA is called worse than some rec leagues. All in the name of offense.
They call it casually because Luka makes defense non existent
incredible breakdown 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kobe would have scored 90+ if the game in his time was officiated like it is today. Or if he had slacked off on defense like Luka does.
How bad is the Mavericks' defense? The Hawks were within 10 for the whole video.
Bro been doing these vids since like 2007 !!!! Still sound the same still the same formats the same type thumb nail and it works I know you making bank from this channel lol
The fans never cried “no defense” when Embiid got 70 against a worse team(Spurs), they didn’t cry when KAT got 62, or when Luka’s son Booker got 62 against the Pacers without Haliburton, why are they crying now, huh? They’re crying because it’s a guard’s league now, not a big man’s league
10:53 Loca's "argument" would be a bad one. The defender has position and, if anything (I think a no-call was appropriate) Doncic's shoulder into his chest was an offensive foul. You got this wrong in the Embiid video too.
you can always tell which videos he rushes out in the quality of the video.
Let’s go bball breakdown
Luca wouldn't make it in today's NBA, players are just too athletic for him.
He better plays with plumbers since he looks like a chef.
Damn, I really understand this game.
Next do "How the league's rule changes destroyed the game" please. :)
Hey coach, would decreasing the 3 pt line distance actually give defenses a chance to scramble back to reduce these offensive outputs? or do you think since NBA players are so good, they'll just shoot from way beyond the FIBA 3 pt line? What does the FIBA or Olympic data look like? hmmm
The Hawks defense has more holes than Swiss cheese...
😂
did we just see a 900k subscriber channel do a breakdown by filming a TV with a camera? the actual fuck is wrong with the quality.
that headband though

If all you can't tell that is a 9 foot rim then all of you need to stop watching basketball. NBA lowered Rims now on occasion for Ratings and Clicks. That is a 9'5" Rim and also the Ball is a 28.0 in circumference compared to a 30 inch ball in the 1990's. Doncic isn't tall. Also he has short arms. And he is not jumping yet nearly touching the Rim on his easy layups. Compare that with Taller Jordan who had Long Arms and Long hands. Also was jumping and still not always getting that close to the Rim. Those rims are barely 9'5"
Kobe's 81 won't be second for long
It kinda seems like you're trying to downplay how amazing Luka played by throwing constant jabs at the Hawks defense, and also by saying that "a 100 point game feels inevitable at this point". Luka scored 73 points on only 33 shot attempts, 76% FG. His gamescore for this game was the highest in NBA history for a regulation game, and 2nd overall behind Jordan's 69 point OT game from 1990.
Luka is also the only player in NBA history to have two games that rank in the top-10 all time in gamescore, *and he's only 24!*
With MAGNETIC technology Luka can make any shot
How the f*** is he 5th in kia latest mvp ranking?? dude is averaging 37 10 9 since early december
