- Will the rain ever stop? I dunno but we got a short break from it so it's time to finish that firewood pile. And after a full day of work, you gotta have some good eats.

Wow no more B&M !!! That was a favorite mainstay when I was growing up back there. Looks like I'll be moving back to Maine next spring,my son bought a house in Belfast and made sure there were some accomodations for dear old Dad. Cost of living has skyrocketed here in Colorado and senior fixed income just don't work anymore.
When I was young, we always had B&M beans and brown bread. My father passed in 1958 a young man with rheumatic heart disease. Life was so good and so simple.
Dale, I would like to suggest an addition to your front porch. I would suggest you add a 2”x12” (or 1”x12”) board to the top railing of the porch thus making it like a shelf or small tabletop. I worry every time you put some food down that its going to fall off the porch. Just a suggestion!!😊😊
Hi. I live in Maine. That was our supper every Saturday night. Miss those days.that brown bread was the best with real butter, yum❤️❤️
No Doubt, Dale,
You're the Salt of the Earth.
Great Channel....
Dale another great show thanks for sharing 👍 Johno Darwin NT 🍺
My high school was right across Back Cove from B&M and I'll never forget the great smell from that factory. Sure beat the paper mill smell when the breeze was coming from Westbrook.
That’s a great meal.
Growing up, hot dogs, B&M beans and brown bread was our typical Saturday night meal.
I still have it every once in awhile.
It seems like birch bark holds moisture in,that's why it rots so fast.
Man. I was thinking about you up there with all this craziness and the shooting. Glad to see your safe. Not that I expected anything else. Stay strapped my friend!
Thank you for sharing and your APPRECIATION to your subscribers 😊
GREAT VID, THOSE SAUSAGES LOOKED RADIOACTIVE!!! UK
Always feels good to be ahead on fire wood.
You are living the good life and simple life don't get any better than that❤😊
Greetings from Prince Edward Island. I've never seen canned bread in Canada, my first experience seeing it was when I lived in Cornwall, Ontario and use to shop in Massena New York. We have some seasonals up here from Boston and he brought me back eight cans this year, love the stuff. I make my own Baked beans but I use to see those up here in PEI. Love the videos. My firewood is all in, we had hurricane Fiona last year and I've got more firewood than I need, people kept asking me, so I gathered many cords and still processing it, mostly birch. I scored some yellow birch, which burns hotter. Not much oak up here, maple and much softwood. I have a mini split but use it mostly for AC. I live in a small log home on the north shore and my main source of heat is wood, and I use it for cooking and to heat my dishwater. We are currently sitting at 1c (34f) here now and it's turned on the colder side
Dang, glad I still have a couple of cans of the Brown Bread!!! Going to really miss the Beans.
Watched this video in Augusta, Maine tonight Dale. It’s cold now! Great looking supper you had.
Good to see you again. Sorry for what happened up there. Just shows what kind of world we live in now.
We used to toast the brown bread and smother it with butter. Moxie, woo hoo!
Enjoying your videos. Thank yiu.
Now that's a feed man ! ! ! ! Oh yeah, ate that plenty !
Absolutely love the videos buddy. Greetings from Michigan's upper peninsula
Great looking supper
Great to see you back Dale! Stay safe up there with that maniac still on the loose.
Heck yeah, B&M! My Mother used to make me cream cheese sandwiches for lunch as a kid! They were the best!
All looks good at the cabin. Get ready for the 🥶! 👻🎃😁
You are living the bachelor's life dale, great video sir
Hell yea ! That’s always been a regular combo growing up and to this day ! And the Moxie ! All delicious and all Maine ! Great video ! Take care Dale 🍺🍺
The lunch of champions !
Headed up to our camp in Phillips in the morning 35 anniversary, will be splitting wood with 30 ton splitter the only way to go. Havesome Chilli I made for supper tomorrow night enjoy your videos. Thinking of all the people involved in the tragedy this week and also all the police, sheriff's, game wardens and the others involved great people Paul J.
Love the leaves… praying for Maine . Stay safe
Nice meal! I like to put some cream cheese on the brown bread. Glad to see you at the cabin. Look forward to seeing a lot more action!!!!
Great dinner. We have that combination twice a month here in northeast Ct. Have it once a week when at our Beddington camp in the summer. Going up to camp o close up this Wednesday.
Learned this exact dinner combination from my in-law Drake family from Fort Kent. Usually have a dessert of bread and butter dipped in molasses!!!!
Moved over to Bush's beans when B&M left Portland.
Brushfires in the spring and nothing but rain since June
Really good see you back on the video circuit😊
Nothing like looking at a stacked new pile of firewood there eh!😅
Looks great dale
Keep up the good work, my friend !
That's a wicked awesome😊
Just doesn’t get much more Maniah than that! B&M was absolutely my favorite canned bean! Sad they will no longer be Maine based.
👍👍👍
Good morning, your neighbor next door in NH. Ahhhh fall, something special about the woods this time of year. Can't beat the colors and that smell. Heading to Acadia for a week of relaxation. Probably gonna have to have some red snappers and beans now. I'll stop into a local general store and grab a Moxie and toast to a good winter. Stay safe and healthy 🍁🍂 🇺🇲
That feast may not make the doctor happy, but ya might as well eat good while you're here 👍😁
Nice job on the intro! You're reading my mind about this winter. With all this constant rain my fear is it will just turn to snow and stay in the same weather pattern. Could be an interesting winter! We haven't had a weekend without rain since the first weekend in August :( Be well sir.
In a survival situation yes I would eat in a regular day pass. The red smokies I would do actually.
👍🏻
Love the silence, at the beginning of the video, so peaceful and calming, also you have some fantastic autumn, fall colours. If it’s any help here in the U.K. it’s been a very wet summer , up to yet a very wet and mild autumn, fall so far , parts of the country have suffered severe flooding , loss of property etc , not good .
Think it's time to clean the bbq grill & clean off the burner covers.
Save the empty containers for memories. Red snappers are celebrated every summer in Dexter . What more can you ask Beans Dogs Bread and Beer.
My mother used to buy something like that bread your having. We called it Nut Bread, it was dark and had some kind of nuts in it. It came in a can also, I can taste right now.
I remember the beans but more so the brown bread in the can oh so good
Cool video NB.
We have a red hot dog here in Northern NY called a Glazier hot dog and they’re delicious! Ate a many a meal like you had there and it’s always a great meal!
totally Maine with the menu today! Need a local beer though for the next episode.
Hi Dale
Nice to see a new video up thank you..was wondering if you were able to get some hunting in ..in particular the bear that had been hanging around your yard ??
I think we could be friends baked beans red hotdogs and Moxie a true Maine dinner. Glad to see some new videos.
NICE HAT!
That looks very yummy
Hope all is well with you and yours in Maine, and best wishes to those affected by the tragedy.
Gotta love them B&M Baked Beans. Always sad to see the good ones get bought up by the big ones who then ruin the brand.
Good to see you get progress on the firewood pile. How was the autumn meat harvest in your neck go the woods, Dale? I hope you had some success. Best regards and stay safe.
Thinking about you Dale, about the tragedy in Maine, from nb canada
we have the same meal once a week, just the brown bread has no raisins, just the old plane one.
I must admit supper looked good. I have never seen red sausages like that before. I’m sure u enjoyed it 😋
Great video NB88 and stay safe! Is that mostly maple? Any oak or beech?
Never seen those red snappers. What are they, like a sausage, hot dog? Thanks for posting. Good to see you.
9.5 on the vid, solid 10 on the headgear.
Moxie is good stuff.
Too damn bad about B&M Dale. I am a bit of a sentimental traditionalist, so it always makes me a little maudlin when an old classic goes away. Kinda reminds me of the movie “Other Pepople’s Money” when the Danny DeVito character buys/overtakes the 100+ y. o. New England wire factory. 😢 Sad prospects, but it’s a good flick. Thankfully red snappers are still around! 😁
I haven’t seen canned bread here in Australia.
Looks good, wish I could still eat like that. Cholesterol diet is required unfortunately!
I’ll leave the Moxie to you, but I’ll keep the snappers, beams and bread. I didn’t know they closed the plant, that’s a shame.
That b and m makes me want to have a BM !
thats a strange dinner
👍😃✌️🇺🇸
dinnah!
B&M kind of sad, like a lot of stuff now. ✌
When i got the first can of non maine b&m, i knew instantly when i saw inside the can they were different. The taste was not the same. Too bad.
If I ate like you do I'd weigh a1000 pounds. You must work it off. Good stuff.
The new B&M beans suck, I've switched to Bush's. It was a sad day.
To bad about the beans……it just sucks you can’t get them anymore
Might have to break out your water wings soon!
Could you say you're back on the phone? And please be safe up in that neck of the woods with that Wack job running loose.
💪🪓👍
The log splitter has a calming effect on me , but I still like using an axe .
Jesum bubby that looks wicked freakin good !
The food looks good, but damn man it looks like you could get tetanus eating off that grill!!! LOL!
