Never use the crane m3 without a safety wrist strap in case you drop it with the camera attached! You can attach a tether strap via one of the 2 quarter-inch screw ports either on the side or on the bottom of the gimbal. The gimbal is small and awkward for even apsc cameras compared to the larger gimbals. I own the crane m3 as of 2 weeks ago. It balances after a fair amount of work with my sony apsc very small a6600 and sigma 30mm combo. I'm hoping that the gimbal will be strong enough over time, but am not sure. I can't imagine trying to use this gimbal as a workhorse for full frame cameras. Instead, for full frame, and even APSC, if the size and weight are ok with you, consider the weebill 2. Since I travel internationally size was everything and this gimbal fits nicely in a large travel backpack along with the rest of my gear. Make sure to order the quick release plate specific to your camera.
Cheers Pav, another great review, most people are concerned with balancing, its a tricky process, does the new quick mount plate on this gimbal make it any easier ?
Thanks Lee! This gimbal is easier to balanced than most once you know how. It is a little bit different procedure and less fine adjustments. The new plate is ok with smaller cameras - the tightening nut is a little bit close to the corner of a7III/IV
