Just took Symmetry to the lighthouse solo on multiplex. Those dudes had no idea what they were up against. Multiple revolution downs after farming vs other scouts lol
Tip on symmetry: if your team feels a time pressure you can easily get a three tap on the gun and hit solid per shot damage pretty fast. Using a little cover you can basically turn it into a weird homing hipfire aoe hand cannon with a slow fire rate. It also melts clumps of players since it is an aoe

Focused Fury does not reset if you use thread of ascent to reload with stand. Enjoy gamers.
I also believe this works with Transversive steps.

i literally dont even play destiny 2 passionately anymore yet i still watch your videos, I still log on weekly to check out eververse but that's about it. But its a testament of how good of a content creator you are. if you ever decide to hang up your jacket with destiny, ill be chilling with whatever you decide to make videos on afterward. you're goated- wishing you the best health

If there's one conclusion I drew from watching CammyCakes go hard with Frenzy, its that Frenzy is only viable if you're running Gemini Jesters to tag people through walls, or Thorn, scorch, or other DoTs to keep the timers going... Or else Frenzy isn't there when you ACTUALLY need it, making it hard to use it to effect when it matters, making it a wasted perk.
Half the time I get it to activate, people just run away from me and the perk expires, making me pray for another long 7 seconds of consistent non-lethal combat to hope it gets rolling again.
Its ESPECIALLY gruesome since it usually robs you of other juicy column 4 perks in the process.
I'll try Frenzy out again per your suggestion, if I happen to get a solid weapon with it. I'll change my opinion if I can make it work in this sandbox. But I'm 80% sure this is cap and cope in terms of value proposition.
Frenzy is most effective in 6s for this reason and it's why Cammy runs Jesters when using it since it lets him tag enemies through walls for free when he plays 3s.
I've never liked chaining perks in PVP because I rarely can get into a second gun fight in the short timeframe of the perk. Things like kill clip get tons of hype, but I'd much rather have more consistency perks so every fight is smoother, not just every fifth fight.
Symmetry is easily my favorite scout in the game, been using it since season of dawn so glad it’s getting a buff
If you don’t mind me asking what’s the buff? I love this weapon just because it allowed me to carry my friends and blueberries to lighthouse
More primary duels not competing against snipers and range nerfs on other weapons help it breathe bigger health pulls and hand holding allows you to get precision hits faster to get charges to get the .5 ttk

I used Revision Zero back when it was checkmate Trials on Meltdown for Cataphract and got over 200 kills with it. Absolutely love it and I intend to play Multiplex with it tomorrow. Another sleeper is Disparity with the Hunter Athry's Embrace. Disparity is already an easy 2 burst, add in swash for a quick .6, its fun in 6s to fry people fast at ranges and they have no idea why.
You have the best content, seriously! I love Cross and Fallout, too, but you have been my top three for the last several years. Love your research, when you show evidence for the meta shift--say, when you were showing off the predictive patterning for shots against the wall, the before and after--and I always pay attention to what you pay attention to...and I don't even like or have any skill in PvP but your attention to how these weapons function in this game is second to none. Thank you for being great!
I've been recently using Revision Zero and been loving it in this sandbox. The other one I've been loving to use is a Taraxippos with Keep Away precision instrument.
I've been having a lot of fun with Revision Zero and Foetracer. Effectively having a second special weapon with the sniper mode feels like cheating.

I’ve always been a frenzy main. The perk genuinely improved my survivability and my awareness in game.

@BombStars If I learned anything from watching Cammycakes, its that Frenzy isn't competitive unless you're a Gemini Jesters hunter tagging people with a damage tick through walls.
@@ShaoShaoMienshao perks don’t need to be competitive to be used effectively. You don’t even need exotics to bring the full potential of it either. This is coming from someone who’s got 1000s of kills with guns that have frenzy on them in pvp-and also someone who never uses exotics in pvp. Never
Frenzy is a great perk. It activates a lot in 6,v6 and it just makes a weapon feel alive. I have a heating up/frenzy gridskipper with 100 recoil direction and it's by far my best 540 in pvp.
great video and a lot to unpack here, I keep mentioning last rite when people mention the trial tex mechanica because of reconstruction on this frame. I have not leveraged focus fury for that and thanks to this video I am going to have to do that!

ive been collecting all the weapons i can get with frenzy for the longest time. in pve its always felt like a miniature version of master of arms and while super niche in pvp the handling and reload bonus were always my favorite makes everything feel so fluid

The Reconstruction and Focused Fury Trustee is honestly one of my favorite guns. The origin trait giving you ability energy back and it being Solar so I can pair it with Khepri's Horn to get my Barricade back 3 or 4 times faster than normal is just the icing on the cake of an already amazing 4 tap machine.

Seeing the Symmetry is like seeing an old friend. The gun arrived *4 years ago* around the time I started playing Destiny (S8 and S9).

Thinking about the Bungie dmg situation it’s looks over the years that they can scale damage right which leads to these damage perks that can compensate. Some won’t see it that way though.

My max range, Reconstruction, Focused Fury posterity is so fun to use. It's like playing a legendary version of the hawkmoon mini game.

I absolutely love Frenzy! I've been using it in PvE constantly since it was introduced. It's the old meta of reload+damage perk in one, plus handling. I'm a big advocate for frenzy, mainly in PvE, and this video has made me realize the effectiveness of it in PvP. I'll definitely give it a try at some point.

Highly recommend an Unrelenting Frenzy roll if you can find one. I've only got it on a couple primaries, and a couple specials, but once you get them rolling you're going to really....

Targeted Redaction has a lot of those perk combinations and they can be enhanced if you decide to. It's really fun and I was finding that it can compete vs igneous hammer (most of the time)
I really appreciate the patient breakdown on Frenzy. As a.. non We Ran type I just assumed it's only useful when chaining clips. I'll give it a shot now 💯
Frenzy on a backup sidearm or SMG has always been amazing, 8/10 times you need your backup Frenzy is ready to go to town.
Coolguy please tell me you haven't forgotten disparity! Blast Furnace looks great but disparity is cooking
Definitely might need to check out Suros Regime in the current sandbox. It was already stacked and primary focus just made it better
Symmetry was my go to invasion weapon in Gambit back in the day.
Some subclass options have opened up too. Arc hunter, consecration, and secant filaments for example

Perfect float tap the trigger mykels is INSANE in this sandbox. I don't see enough rapid sidearms yet but people should really look at it as an smg replacement in their loadout
Really cause I have fituroe or whatever it's called a suros rapid frame with zen on it so I will try it out. Cause at the moment my zen moment last dance is very good
@theveryamericaneagle3657 100% another good sidearm. If you have one with kill clip it's even crazier. A .53 in 4 crits 1 body

Always have a lookout for weapons that are able to roll with Focused Fury and either Slideways or Slideshot
I've got keep away precision instrument on my tyraxipos or however you say it and it is SHOOTING
When you do get into those super aggro matches, Tarrabah is amazing
Did you ever go back and make a final build for revision zero? Your original video was before catalysts and the screenshot from this video is using feeding frenzy, so I can't imagine that's the final build.
I would love a Broodweaver guide in this sandbox. After the Threadling nerf that was supposed to target Hunters, this subclass feels unplayable in PvP. I feel like it could be good to abuse Frenzy... Still would love a guide on it.
Important note: Focused Fury DOES take into account magazine increases like Tactical/Appended/Extended Mag or the Back-Up Mag mod.
Those perks WILL increase your bullets needed to proc.
Stuff that bypasses reloading like Thread of Ascent, Overflow, or Genesis can let you avoid the perk build-up resetting though!

Cool Guy, what’s your opinion on Deconstruct in pvp? I feel like people are treating it entirely like Vorpal Weapon or just an anti barrier perk when it actually functions like Rewind Rounds while also having extra functionality against Barricades and Child of the Old Gods and such.

I’ve used revision since it came out in pvp… I now have a level 45 revision with vorpal weapon that is almost entirely off of pvp

thinking about crafting a smite of merain. something like focused fury/swashbuckler. run with athrys and the radiant knife, see just how much damage i can get

Frenzy and slideways on Gridskipper has been my deep cut banger roll for a couple years. Love to see frenzy getting the love it deserves.

Have you tried out Tommy’s Matchbook? I haven’t tried it yet but Bungie was very specific with on the HP increase. The Health was raised from 70-100. Nothing with Shields. So you have a 40+% increase in health to play with. So you can tank more things which should be deadly with such a fast TTK

I have a focused fury, under pressure Peacebond roll and it cleans house.
I’ve got an adept exalted truth in my vault with perfect float and frenzy on the same roll. Will bust it out and give it a whirl
I feel like snipers are less common because most people would want to run a cqc primary with it but with less special they won’t have enough range to deal with more than 2 ranged primaries. I haven’t minded snipers personally but I use smgs and gl most of the time
Revision Zero - I've been using it, but I can't stay alive long enough to get to sniper mode ever.
shoutout to harmony as well for those of us running a sidearm instead of a spec weapon. its insane. .5 ttk on a 450 rapid fire sidearm. LONG timer for such a good damage buff. Also, frenzy heal clip gonna be a meta roll on something- keep you in the fight if you get your health back after getting a kill. I have that roll on my helio and on an igneous hammer
My adept Forgiveness is a subsistence harmony roll and it’s my favorite non special to use ever 😂 just an absolute freight train while harmony is up
You know what weapon can roll with perfect float and frenzy? Old Sterling. Just got a drop shortly after watching this video and going to test this out. It might be hard to put down my perpetualis but going to give her a try since I highly value your opinions.
Weapon with Frenzy and Gemini Jester. Dodging near enemies gives a small damage number. Does that also work for being in combat?
Can you investigate ignition damage in PVP. I used to blow up wells easily, and get double and triple kills. Now they’re scarce.
Revision zero goes hard right now I can confirm. It feels phenomenal as usual but the sniper has INSANE hipfire accuracy (always has but now it’s easier to get)
Centrifuse is pretty slept on. Even tho it's a precision, I rarely see it used
since 450's got buffed I see it everyday

I really wish that Revision zero's two burt mode granted more data towards the sniper mode.

Can Perfect Float still inadvertently proc Frenzy? If so, I still have a few weapons with that combo I could dust off.
I always felt like Perfect Float was a slept on perk. I remember using a Perfect Float + Target Lock Synchronic Roulette during the first Immortal week of Lightfall. I was surprised on how good Pefect Float was feeling, it definitely enabled that SMG to hold its own compared to the others and it carried me to the Lighthouse. It wasn't perfect though and that with the right buff to the perk, or the right immortal nerf, or sandbox change, it could be viable weapon. I deleted it recently but maybe I should try farming a Perfect Float + Kill Clip roll...
I felt the same with my Perfect Float + Target Lock Prolonged Engagement. I never used it as my primary weapon, but when I swapped to it to fight off Immortals it held its own very well. That flinch resist buff comes in clutch.
EDIT: I think everyone just sees PF as an AE perk and it's why they ignore it.
Problem with Roulette is it had the misfortune that top slot was insanely crowded for SMGs this year and there was always something coming out that was playing a bit stronger than it or had much easier method to acquire.
What about trials recommendations for solo queue. ❤
frenzy has always been a perk i used sinced it came to us. I like to just play normally and when frenzy is up its UP.
Might break out my focus fury pure poetry for a round or two to see how it fairs

Opened my eyes... crafting a Syncopation with Frenzy tomorrow, cuz D2foundry puts that at a .6 ttk with it active on all resilience levels, lol

It wasn’t really a buff. They just had to bring it up to match its damage relative to what it was before the health bump
Frenzy has been my PVE perk of choice for almost two years now. S+ perk.
I've been using an old sterling 450 Auto with rewind rounds and focused fury. It's been such a work horse.
