- Another great day on the water! Our Skagit Valley College boat club students did a lot of work on this "Free" boat. Thor, a Santana 20' sailboat, was donated to our Marine Maintenance Technology Program and will be very much used and appreciated! Another Big Thank You!
We are going to keep the boat fully rigged and at the marina so it'll be very easy to use. Only costs $3.00 each way for the crane, so for six bucks boat club students can go enjoy a day out sailing on this awesome vessel!
We've been wanting to do an electric project and have considered several this past year - this one might be a perfect platform for our first electric boat project? What do you think?
Please ~ Leave us some comments.
As always, if you know somebody who would be a good fit in this industry and would like the technical training, Skagit Valley College has a place for them!

I had Santana 20 hull 178. For many years of fleet racing . It truly was the first sport boat , many fleets still race.
They are doing their first Wednesday night series and LOVING it!! There is another in the marina and we recruiting for a third to race, that would be awesome.
This is what SCHOOL should look like! Great stuff!
We do our best - if you are learning to fix boats... we believe you should understand what joy they bring to people!
Congratulations! So great that you could move it all the way to the lift with the mast up!
Yes! Thank you! When it's simple, it gets used more often!
Excellent day on the water.... I need to go back to school
Right! Turns out staff can take Thor out anytime they want
Very jealous of the hoist...wish we had that in Olympia. May I suggest mounting a trailer wheel jack near the rear corner of the trailer frame, and that way the boat won't tip back when someone walks aft while the boat is on the trailer.
Yes, we are very lucky to have that hoist - it gets used often
