I greatly appreciate you guys opening up about the challenges of transitioning to civilian life after a phenomenal military career! I had always wanted to be in the military but chose the path of college then marriage and a family. I always taught my children, "When you see a vet in public, pause and thank him/her for their service." Your piece here has exponentially increased that desire to let you all know how much you are appreciated and that the sacrifices you made were not in vain. At 58 I still dream about how life would have been had I chosen the military and, while your thoughts expressed here have helped me accept my choices, I wonder... Perhaps I will be able to train with some of you in the future. That would be a dream come true. Keep up the fantastic content!!
Another great podcast!!! The amount of experience and knowledge between those three men is priceless. DJ's interview on Shawn's podcast was amazing. Cole needs an interview of his own, I'd like to hear is story too.

Thanks Mike G for the round table. I found myself there, I saw clearly the places I diverged. Still, much of the results of facing the passages of life leaves the suck we all don't deal with well because we don't do well getting wisdom from our fathers, brothers, and sisters/wives. Thank God, somehow, most survive to have a recognition and find balance on the boards and mayhap resolution in the heart. Seriously appreciated.

its so sick to find out that so many US Navy SEALs are former or current Skateboarders --- from the East Coast teams like these dudes or from the West Coast. Many Skater/SEAL's out there.
Yep It kinda makes sense. These dudes getting out now were in high school/college growing up in the golden age of mtv and skate culture in the US. The way I see it when they get out they’re trying to bring back as much as possible about their childhood and what life was like pre enlistment. Their entire lives has been childhood/pre enlistment and now they’re entering the next chapter getting out of a near 2 decade career in the seal teams. Really all they know is seal teams and their high school years. It’s a great community. My age group 25-30 years old currently grew up watching 9/11 happen as young kids and then we grew up skating and many of us enlisted or went on to serve in other capacities. Skate culture can bring a lot of different people together and that’s what I like about it.
and don’t forget jason everman from nirvana/soundgarden joined the army and got into sf. jocko on his podcast talked about how he is into straight edge punk rock. music, surfing, skydiving, climbing, skating etc. to me it’s no surprise that things that can be considered all-American a lot of sof dudes are into.
“ The tee shirt folder has an issue w the COO....SEND IT!” You guys are on to a wholly new dynamic in corporate America. WOW. THATS what is needed. Truly showing your employees (family) value and worth. That’s LEGIT!!! 360/720.
Really enjoyed this. By the time this was ending I found myself disappointed that it was doing just that, ending. Endless amounts of knowledge and experience sitting at that table and I can’t thank all 3 of you enough for it. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors and endless happiness. All of you certainly deserve it.
Get these 3 together with Jocko, Stumpf, Shawn, Ritland and let's get America moving in the right direction again. These guys can actually make our country what is should be.
Thank you for the podcast. Glad to hear others feel and felt the same way on many levels. The subject was about how I felt and still do when I left. Thank you. Stay Blessed.

I encourage everyone to step outside your comfort zone and talk to someone you don’t know give him/her your attention always PAY IT FORWARD! Thank you Mike and field craft!
I love these guys. GBRS has a weird, specific, physiological way of breaking basic life down. I also love how mike has this awesome growth mindset with everything he does. They need to combine companies and call it Fieldcraft Research Solutions
DJ is such a humble straight up bloke. A true hero and genuine bad ass..
AT 15:30 THE TEARS COME! MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU BOYS AND WHAT YOU DO FOR YOUR GOLD STAR FAMILY.
These dudes are awesome, good for them helping people.
I appreciate these talks, as a civilian it helps me to hear the perspective of the men who gave it all for this country.
There’s a saying-
The military got the best of me, and my family got the rest of me.
Doesn’t have to be that way
That pretty much sums it up. I feel like I have nothing left to give
Mike, thanks so much for having these guys on your show. DJ and Cole, thanks for sharing brothers! Cheers!
Another great podcast!!! The amount of experience and knowledge between those three men is priceless. DJ's interview on Shawn's podcast was amazing. Cole needs an interview of his own, I'd like to hear is story too.
As a basic grunt combat veteran with issues, it's refreshing and encouraging to hear tier 1 veterans talk about how they also had/have issues. Thank you all for sharing your stories and knowledge.
Love these interactions yall have 2 great companies 3 great dudes.
I appreciate every moment you spent, and action taken, overseas for our great United States. THANK YOU.
Was a Chief on my last boat. And having to learn how to communicate in a new way as a Supervisor was amazingly difficult.
Rode the boats as well, A Gang for most of my 10 years. Biggest challenge in transition as well was communication and lack of commitment. Even now I miss the comradery.
You gentlemen are such a joy to listen to. You inspire millions of people. Thank you for all you do and have done for this country and the industry as a whole. Much love coming from a civilian in CALIFORNIA!
I love listening to 2 dev gru guys and a Green Beret having just regular conversations about whatever. Its soo interesting just listening all 3 of these American Heroes.
He doesn't like to talk about it due to friction in the teams I heard, but Mike was Delta aswell. Not sure how long.
Love to hear it gents. Got out in 04’ two weeks after being in Ramadi. It’s been one helluva ride. Life’s a process, not a deployment.
Keep TruckN👊
You can have 20 A list celebrities standing in front of me to talk to, and I would rather talk to one of these guys all night over beers any day! seriously, Thank You
God bless and I get why you stick with Leo and military due to the vetting process but one thing to always remember is you don’t have to go over seas to be a service to your country and your neighbor and your family. Love all of these guys and I can’t begin to show my appreciation for all you have sacrificed for our country and all of our freedoms we enjoy daily. Keep on rocking 🤟🏻
I could feel the steely gazes and the words from Mr. Shipley and Mr Fackler in this awesome interview! Myself just being a civilian these are the men that put forth the ultimate sacrifice fighting for United States of America so I could be free! Thanks guys!! Keep On Keeping On!! 👍🙏🇺🇸
56:26 "I can learn something from everybody...just take the ego out of it" needed to hear this today. Thank you!
I cant wait to listen to D.J. and Cole on there own podcast!
Get Slade on here, Mike. Not for the drama but for objectivity and the knoweldge transfer. Dude is a wizard regardless of what brand he runs under.
I was thinking the same thing. Slade was GBRS as well.
This is the greatest “sit-down” I’ve seen. Much love and respect. -CH (Iraq/CIB)
Did DJ just reference a CCS magazine! That brings back memories from the old days!
Also, DJ's smile when you said "Army vs. Navy" 25:16....lol
Gotta love the competition between branches!
Thanks for sitting down with DJ and Cole. I appreciate them sharing their thoughts. I really enjoyed the conversation, talking about post service and business topics. DJ's messages really resonate.
Dj and Cole are true Warriors
Shame DJ bails from his own Son,,Phoenix
Good to see all of those who fought for this Country and it's an honor seeing you. God Bless all of you.
its so sick to find out that so many US Navy SEALs are former or current Skateboarders --- from the East Coast teams like these dudes or from the West Coast. Many Skater/SEAL's out there.
Yea bill rapier said he skated on some deployments while he was at the command
Lots of skateboarders in the Navy as a whole as well. 7 of us on my one ship alone.
@@jaydubs6354 absolutely true brother.
and don’t forget jason everman from nirvana/soundgarden joined the army and got into sf. jocko on his podcast talked about how he is into straight edge punk rock.
music, surfing, skydiving, climbing, skating etc. to me it’s no surprise that things that can be considered all-American a lot of sof dudes are into.
These are some of the few podcasts I can go back and watch again and enjoy them again
This interview was out of this world. I loved every minute of it. Keep up the excellent work 👏🏾
These dudes hearts in are in the right place! May God Bless them!
Get these 3 together with Jocko, Stumpf, Shawn, Ritland and let's get America moving in the right direction again. These guys can actually make our country what is should be.
I'm not even American and I would be hopeful for the free world with that leadership. Cheers from across the "pond" 🤙🏻
Thank you for the podcast. Glad to hear others feel and felt the same way on many levels. The subject was about how I felt and still do when I left. Thank you. Stay Blessed.
For the algorithm! We can do it!
Thanks for taking away the blur. DJ is absolutely correct about seeing and feeling that emotion. Completely understand why certain people can’t unblur. great job fellas!!!!! Cole is definitely a humble warrior I can see why you guys are so close and what real friends look like. Can’t wait for more content from field Craft and GBRS. Stay safe! Always forward
I love ALL these guys. And everything that comes out with any of them I get so pumped! Never ending awesome
Much respect to these and other service men and women who keep us safe.
Seeing all my heros coming out of the shadows for everyone is quite amazing. And kinda telling me that you all know that it's that bad.
Thank you guys for your service and God bless you so much
Awesome 👌 👏 👍
Mike , my name is Mike, thank you for all of your work and service.
Thank you for the content , thank you for training people , and thank you very much for having these amazing legends on here to enlighten everyone.
BRCC can kick rocks 👋🏻
@--H5 Go ahead and drink overpriced garbage that has a great marketing team and knows how to manipulate people like you and I into thinking a company called 'Black Rifle Coffee Company' gives a shit about 2A rights.
Why not support a company with equal or similar values? Certainly makes more sense than supporting one that donates to democrats.
Grow up
@@nickjohnson710 Continue to support companies that don't support you. Or American ideals. Or what they claim to stand for. Fool.
@@Iwasthewalrus fool?? 😂😂😂😂 listen who's talking.......
@Nick Johnson The donations to anti 2A groups are public records. It's on you to look it up.
It’s GFCC. God, Family, Country, Corps. We can never forget the founding priorities, in their guiding order. Love and praying for you, always, Mike. - CH Fort Campbell (not always a CH)
To clarify, we do the mission, because it protects our family and adheres to the Lord’s values. Never otherwise. Much love, Brother.
I love that mike called out these people blurring faces as a marketing technique
Apparently you listen..but, don't comprehend. He explained why he did it. Go ahead and listen again aallll the way up to 1:10.
@@SwiftyMcVeigh851 apparently you don’t learned well, I’m not talking about DJ or mike or the real ones.
Much respect to all three guys. Thanks for telling your stories, wins, and struggles in transition. Will support GBRS and Fieldcraft any way I can.
Bring on sean "buck" rodgers from fng academy.
All 3 of you gents may not look at yourselves this way but you're all saviors. Saviors of our Warriors. Cheers to you all & rock the fuck on!🤘🇺🇸
Thank you for your services & sacrifices!
Great dudes, but we all miss Slade, seriously.
Yes, we do… wish they would get over their differences and get back together. Old GBRS videos with Slade were huge factors in my interest actually training. Their new content is amazing from a knowledge transfer POV, but the original videos were next level inspiring.
High level martyr
Screams out how much you are willing to sacrifice
Commitment to the teams, brotherhood family
Freedom is not Free and your much appreciated each one of you Thank you 🙏🏽
World needs more of these guys
Fucking Legends
Shawn's (Vigilance Elite) pod cast #15, was first to cut through the 'purple haze'. Both are awesome interviews.
The point about most tactical instructors having never seen action is such a good one. It’s precisely the reason I seek out instructors like Mike. I have never served, but I know that high level people who have understand reality. It’s the same thing with martial arts instructors. We need to trust people who have done more than study books and perform in zero to low pressure settings.
