My go to secondary with the oberez is the Romero hatchet. But I also pair the Romero hatchet with everything.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only thing worse than aiming a Mosin Obrez is attempting to fork a cherry tomato in a bowl.

The obrez in my opinion is the best pocket rifle or as I like to say, the better uppercut. If you take your time to learn this beauty, you can make a very deadly hunter for all ranges.
I feel like the sway is too much and negates the superior stats.
@@igortrindade9644 It does unless you put a decent amount of effort into learning to control it. Same thing as the Springfield compact and deadeye and Vandal deadeye, both would just be too good for a 2-slot if they didn't require practice to control.
Now that I'm used to the crouching sway pattern of the 2-slot rifles I use them all the time. Combined with a hand cannon, dual pistols, or a bow, they make for arguably the most diverse loadouts possible, with or without Quartermaster (an Obrez works wonders for a Lebel Marksman loadout btw.) Give them a try, you'll probably be surprised how quickly you're able to learn the crouching sway patterns when you put your mind to it. I thought I'd never be able to properly use the Obrez, but it took just a few minutes of actively practicing to make a world of difference. It's an easy thing to do when you're waiting for banishes or whatever, just crouch and practice keeping your sights on a head-sized point like a lamp, for example.

So many bayonets and talons but we really need more blunt weapon options that are stamina efficient. This is why I like the obrez mace. You’d think with most guns having a solid end there’d be more opportunities but so far it’s just brawler and mace

One of my favourite loadouts lately is the "Closed casket" Mosin Obrez Mace along with the Romero 77 (half normal ammo, half Slugs).
It's basically the first 2-3 games loadout I use to warm up!

Long: crouch and pray
Medium: body taps
Close: God mode + Pen
Shotgun: Axe em
Hot take; I prefer the obrez sights over the big boy mosin’s. Not sure why it is but I just seem to be able to get more shots on target with them.
I tend to hit well with the oberez as welll

Awesome video as always, have you considered making a custom ammo focused video? Always wondered about stuff like flechette spread and FMJ penetration in regards to compact, med and long variants of it

I mean here is your focus for custom ammo bud “Avoid poison and fire, always use fmj/slugs/HV when it’s available …. “Only HV for long ammo”. Penny shot for when you want more ammo and wanna kill boss fast. “Crossbow use shotbolt and regular arrows paired together avoid explosive unless you want to kill mobs fast”

compact < medium < long < FMJ (all have the same)

I love running BowBrez. Having a bow is fun, deals with ai, and allows for 1-shot kills at better ranges than hand cannons

I used to carry a obrez mace and a romero hatchet until the Halloween event dropped Closed Casket. Since then I've started taking the obrez mace and a terminus and a throwing axe. Works better than I had expected and is one of my favorite loadouts now

The guns I prefer in hunt are based entirely on what I was playing when I happened to be the best player on the server for once, which greatly exaggerated my proficiency with the Obrez/Romero and Martini/Officer combos

I like the Obrez mace, but seldom spend enough time working the mosin unlock ladder to get it.
I've recently been running Mosin obrez (specifically the mace) with a sparks sniper and it makes me remember how good the obrez actually is.
Obrez + C&K had me solo wipe trios. This is an extremely good (but expensive in terms of money and the need of QM) loadout!

My go to shotgun loadout is caldwell rival slugs with a mosin mace obrez (or crown and king slugs if I want to flaunt my cash)

Mosin obrez mace is just an upgrade from an uppercut for small range builds, like shotguns or crossbow

The obrez mace with a specter is an amzing compound fighting loadout. Always go with the longer shotgun as the smaller ones are too unreliable. With this loadout you are viable at almost every range except sniping.
When and IF, I ever run the obrez, I go with the mace. Then pair it with the romero hatchet.
It's a pretty good little combo, being they both have strong melee capabilities.

The sight of an Obrez in any medium just makes me feel like I need a shower
big fan of the obrez drum because that 'gaunt' skin is the sexiest gun skin in hunt. have always wanted a full size drum mosin, so like, avto, without the avto. i realize that would negate any use of the lebel, but mosin's iron sights are just too good, balance be damned. on the other hand, your boy is broke af and can't typically afford a base mosin at all, so here we are. good vid mane, will give a little obrez + bow a try in my next games.

I'm an obrez enthusiast! I never pass a chance to loot one from an enemy hunter. It's just so cute, I like fun sized things. :)
Also it being a medium slot weapons allows you to take it in almost any loadout. If I have quartermaster I often take a full sized shotgun and an Mosin Obrez instead of a full Mosin and a small shotgun.

It can also benifit from steady hand since it's classified as a stockless weapon. Rarely do I pare it with the trait but it's there if people want more accuracy.

I saw a sway comparison between the uppercut and the obrez and the uppercut had less sway
even if it had just the same sway I think I'd still go with the uppercut because of the slot size
uppercut deserves a nerf, thems the facts
The Obrez is still generally better because its damage falloff is way better, it reloads much faster, and its muzzle velocity is better.
To give you an idea of damage falloff; the Uppercut does around 60 damage to the chest from 80m away while the Obrez does about 98 damage. The Uppercut's damage is best compared to a Vetterli, not a long ammo rifle.
The obrez mace is the only obrez weapon I use because in my mind it is the most practical in my opinion. When I pack that baby I don't have to bring dusters and I can bring something else.
It's interesting to see people discuss whether the Obrez is worth the drawbacks compared to the normal Mosin;
And then there's me who buys the Obrez just to have a "Mosin" since I'm broke af.
It CAN be the full mosin experience, but its definitely harder to aim at range
Obrez mace would be my main weapon if it light tapped grunts and heavy>light tapped immolators but as it is now I see no reason to bring this over an obrez with knuckle knife
You made my Google tell me what a cliche was
I find it odd that given the details and accuracies adhered to for all the guns that the cut down and or shortened rifles are as accurate as they are, reality is that cutting a rifles barrel down to something like an Obrez results in horrible accuracy as the rate of twist isn’t sharp enough to stabilize the bullet in such a short length of barrel, there would also be a lot of lost energy and as a consequence much less damage potential.

Shoot gun, hit reload button before the bolt is cycled. When the animation plays, your hunter will eject the spent casing and insert more bullets.

i somhow have a better time with the obrez iron sight than with the regular even tho that one should in theory be better because it´s finer.
but i also shot better with the berthier than with the normal mosin, don´t know how and why but it´s great because i can run my sweaty Mosin/dual caldwell fmj without buying that stupid quartermaster trait!^^
