My uncle was on Rodney when it took on the Bismark he was 19 years of age a big task for any person on the ship after it sank the hood , Rodney ended up in Boston for a refit after the action .
At 2:00 in we see Hood in the background and by 2:01 you can just make out the crane and aircraft catapult on her stern, confirming the film's date stamp of 1931. Interesting coincidence - another instance of Hood shown under the guns of Rodney, as in the well known photo taken 9 years or so later (August 1940) at Scapa, with Renown and Repulse in the background.
Bismarck even more so. Wartime exaggerations. However, the fact remains that old, slow, tired out Rodney went in close and battered new, fast Bismarck to death

Proof
@@Intrusive_Thought176 It sank another Battleship in combat without taking a scratch. What more proof do you want?
@@CanadianDolphinSurf the proof of this happening
@@Intrusive_Thought176well search up the sinking of bismark you will see that three ships are mentioned one Rodney and the other KGV and Dorsecher
The battleship that sunk the bismarck.rule royal navy.thanks.
I'm named after this ship.
Me too but why is the video titled HMS Rodney aka HMS Rodney?
She give the Bismarck a belting.
Родней обожаю этот корабль
A powerful ship with 9 16 inch guns. Both Rodney and Nelson were too slow.
It said about 23 knots , not too bad for 1930's
I feel like Im watching Drachinifel from 1931
Ich bin grade dran das Schwesterschiff zu bauen, die HMS Nelson in 1/200
A extra tot of rum for the winning team?
Wouldn't the title HMS Rodney (1931) save the aka duplication ?
I loving❤ is beautiful😊
aka HMS Dave
Baa baa baa baa
Most overrated battleship of WW2.
