  • Derp cemetery bogs.
Sadly this was in use during the early Up the shires days but sadly closed down due to vandalism. However now, we both stopped by on a whim and to our surprise, it's open and sadly looking ready to be demolished...
I only really expected more Dauntless Rubberlines here so I just about died when I noticed the ring pull & pulled the chain to meet the cast iron clank. Naturally, the risky decision to get water in the cistern whilst the taps were sadly damaged was met for this absolute one off occasion. Refill told me that the float valve in this cistern is a Portsmouth one with a Silencer tube.
However despite getting the cistern full, it's clear that the cistern is the cursed Samuel Thompson & Co Cardiff cistern. One which really suffers from a poorly designed bell syphon & drop. Luckily, on the second fill back to the line attempt: It finally flushed for ‪@uptheshires738‬. A rather beautiful moment when this old workhorse remembers how to work.
In the G's eq, which is unfortunately more vandalized. There is an almost brand new Lecico Atlas pan with a HLSP Dauntless cistern. Still a powerful flush despite being badly blocked

Looks like there was a build up of rust in the cistern judging by the colour of the water after you finally flushed the toilet.
