Almost time for F2F again! I'm glad to see even the pros are waiting til the last second to get things ready! 😆
Very helpful, it had not occurred to me that a worn and narrower belt would cause a lower top speed like this. Thanks 👍
Thank you. I have watched all your CVT tuning videos. Hands down the best vid for dumb people like me. Much appreciated
We call those shims here in the philippines tuning washer very helpful achieving the performance we want.. for me running no shims regarding of the belt status just use a longer bushing .. currently hitting 120kph(74mph) under 500m on a modified 160cc scoot
Great video, Thanks!
Ah thanks! I just put the new bell on my Zuma prebug and it was bogging till it hit 3k. I put a new belt on too, so I'm think I need some shims. I bought the pulley as I thought that was the next component. I might have it mixed up though. I have the stage6 variator, 8g rollers, and white springs on the stage6 clutch.
great explanation.
My 50cc used to average 35 and would easily get to 45 downhill but since I’ve replaced the belt it’s barely getting to 30 and it feels way less torquey. Is this because of the belt or the shims.
Hi good information. My scooter has went from a 60mph down to about 52 mph 😳 also changeing the rollers and variator
Hello,
This is Leon from California.
First of all thank you for great explanation really helpful.
I feel confident doing the adjustments on my own but I would like to know what to buy for my 150cc ctv to get better speed.
Any recommendations on parts or combination on springs and weights? .
Thank you
So the Shims are not there for center the cvt belt so it’s aligned with back pulley.
If you take out the shims the belt will worn uneven ?
Would a loose, worn belt cause bog, and when you rev the wheel to spin, then slow up and spin again? Thanks
Hey brandon how many kms avarage do you get out of a belt ? How do you know what bet you will need for your setup
Good tech talk. I have a50cc Tao. Scooter. With stock vari and clutch. All cleaned up and operating . w power link 729 belt sits 5/16 low in the rear clutch. And on the boss in the vari. Any remedy. Would my gates belt be too short?how do I measure. My stock belt?
Can you help me please?
So i got a Aprilia Leonardo 250, and my belt does not fit all the way down on the variator but also doesnt go all the way up at max speeed. What can i do abouth it?
what do u think of zip sp 98 liquid cooled
I looked at this video for help but still am a little stuck so it would be nice to get some help, my bike has all the go fast parts including a aftermsrket exhaust 45 bore and a 21mm carb but when i push it for a max kph i hear my belt slipping at 50kmph and not making any more speed but just staying stuck there, what is your suggestion to this problem
Hello sir. Can you suggest me center spring rpm for stock engine with light rollers
Do I need an oversize belt if I have an oversize variator? Thanks
Is there a Video explaining how Rollers get Flat Spots?
Apparently there's no wider belt that had the same length of the original one. So I have to stuck with the 699-18-30 anyway, cuz there's no 699-20-30 for example.
This video explains how the cvt works perfectly and very detailed, but I’m having a different problem. I had just got a brand new belt on and chims and all set but I lost top end and have a lot of take off from 0 any suggestions?
My guess is the belt is the wrong one or poor quality
In the Netherlands we call those rings that restrict the speed a Vario ring
Een vario ring is iets anders. Deze shims plaats je op de krukas. Niet over de glijbus.
Enzo gaat alles kapot
Question as well but I am sure it's a dumb question to ask but if you feel like it's slipping in that also an indication of a worn belt that needs to be replaced?
Yes, belts really don’t slip but if it’s skinnier you will lose bottom end and top speed
Quick question, I changed the belt on my scooter, and it keeps breaking. I already changed the variator and clutch, and it's still happening. What could be causing it?
You have an issue with the the variator or pulley or your buying the wrong belt
I have upgraded my earox 50 cylinder to 42 but its still not running pas 60 km/h help please what can i use to get more from my cvt
For a stock aerox thats about it bro if u want more power and top speed i recommend a yasuni r and malossi multivar
I put new clutch an variator an belt..afterword my scooter had no power..like it just shut down..won't pull or run now..starts won't pull
Hi you’d need to reach out to the company you got the parts from for diagnostics or warranty
Shims are like your Final Gear, woah!
I got a good question tho. I've had 3 scooters an never was in issue or all these problems .I had a tao tao 50. Look like shit but run good. Nevermind I answered my own question. It happens
From a fellow tradesman to a another would y'all help me with mine an I'm not asking for advice .nobody will touch my scooter an I understand now but I didn't before. Almost 3k in a scooter that looked good for a scooter but shit u know. I pay for services as do I get paid for construction services but already paid 3k for bike an title so don't wanna put a lot in it. It run 14 mph out the box. 35 mph is perfect an be safe to do it. Why is that such a problem.
Clean your carb and jets
And what was your point during all that rambling?
STOP calling it a "moped" ...............a moped has pedals like a bicycle! "MO"=motor........ "PED"=pedals..........wake up and stop changing the English language
Lol I just call It a ped
Youre so incompetent you have no idea how many times that bastardized frankeinlanguage has even been changed.
Sorry where to find b7j-e4761-00 😇
