We were just there this passed weekend and saw you filming on Sunday but didn't want to interrupt your process......this place made us feel like we were trapped in a maze of endless hallways....the pool bar service was definitely less than stellar but the thirsty fish was a winner. Overall, the Hard Rock appears to be a better managed property. Portofino was a one and done for us.... To your point, that meatball sub was really good and will return for a to go order
You should have said hello. It was hard to get in a good flow on Sunday since I drove down from Myrtle Beach. Sorry you did not completely enjoy your stay. Using the hallways definitely makes it harder to get around. I would leave the parks for that sub I enjoy it that much. We are staying at Adventura for HHN in September. We enjoyed Portofino but really love Royal Pacific. The room we had at Hardrock was an upgrade but we like Royal Pacific more.

Another great onsite report. Looks like construction has progressed and the Villas seem complete. Would you estimate completion, weather permitting by mid September?
They have not started the Villa's side at the pool. Harbor side for the villa's is close. I think you are safe for a beautiful stay in September.
stayed a night in April and we lucked out that there was a small hole in the plastic covering our window. haha. It was very weird not being able to see out.
That's funny. Really does ruin vibe of resort not having the view.
Thanks for the great videos! We have stayed at The Portofino 3 times in the past and have reservations for October. I am concerned about the construction. Do you know if the construction will be done by mid October?
From what I understand from different people they will be finished by October. If now they will be in the Hospitality section of the resort.

Do not think they will have any problems getting done by then. If not done they will be in the convention area.
Coming early October ? What is anticipated to still be under reno then?
Any hope that the harbor area will at least be done anytime soon?
It is so hard to say. Seems like they would be finished completely on the east side. They seem to be moving as slow as a snail.
Thanks for the update. Have you got one for this week? I think I’m going to switch to HR I’ve been putting it off as PB is my fav. I emailed guest relations and the said the Piazza will be done for the end of July(not good for me as we go 21st to 28th) but the club level rooms will be affected. Which I assume is the club rooms over looking the villa pool. I think it’s too risky now for us. I don’t like HR as much but RP has no club rooms available. Thanks again!
