Sync placed a curse mark onto Guy early on into the game, forcing him to live out his darkest emotions when he is near by Guy which nearly killed Luke because of his desire for revenge for what the real Luke's father did to his family. It's only really a guess since the curse mark is removed before Sync is defeated both times.
Super late response but it's more like this Luke and Asch - Replica and Original Tear and Legretta - Pupil and Mentor Jade and Dist - Old friends Natalia and Largo - Daughter and Father Ion and Sync - Both replicas of the original Fon Master Guy and Van - Former master and former servant. People tend to forget that Van's household used to serve Guy's.
@@rikyla1950 More like everyone and Van, lol. Everyone here has a connection to their rival but Guy and Van only goes from serving to a revenge plot that got nowhere. Luke and Tear have a deeper connection to Van than Guy does.
