This is great, I was 17 back 1981. The movie and music was the best of times. Merry Christmas to Sammy, your family and the entire band. Thank you for all the great memories Red Rocker.
Sammy is just amazing! His voice is still strong and he just kills it! Is there anyone who has more fun at life and being themselves than the Red Rocker? Such a genuine, humble guy. Incredible!
My, my Sammy and the circle killing it on stage. 3 vocalist in the band, all of them great singers. Can't wait to see these guys! Thank you Sammy and the circle!
South park made a funny episode about it. I loved the music used in there and found these tracks. Amazing younger people get lifted to these treasures this way 😊👍
Sammy, I remember when this came out in 81. It is such a pleasure sir to hear your vocals and g. work sir. Your music is timeless. Future generations will be singing your songs for generations to come. Excellent.
Yeah, I had to look that up just to confirm I had such a hard time believing it. The way that his voice has held up for the style of singing that he does is amazing.
This has always been my favorite Sammy Hagar song since I first heard it in 1981!! Heavy Metal still ROCKS! BTW - I love Vic's Gibson LP Guitar with the custom tremelo! I want one!
It’s almost scary how good you all sound truly like a fine wine better with time I’m now 56 and I first learned of Sammy with that awesome tune Heavy Metal 9th Grade I was 14 or 15 and never been the same you ALL have stood the test of time

Just magnificent , I saw him open with this in 1981 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. Loved it then , its even better now all these years later. Keep going Sammy !
I was a fan of Sammy from Montrose and loved his solo stuff plus other things he did with his own bands much more than what he did with VH. I always felt he was being held back on his potential.
Montrose with Sammy were the best and Sammys Loud and Clear album was the nuts been a fan for more years than I care to say and he is still rocking it today what a talent
Watching these road trips, Sammy just has fun. I started as a Sammy Hagar fan because of my Uncle. In the early 70s he introduced me to Montrose. Bad Motor Scooter.
killer tones fr.. always brings joy to my heart to see Sammy and and Michael kicking like this.. good friends after the VH bs fallout. Vic is smoking it.

DYNAMITE!! I had tickets to Cheap Trick 2 weeks ago in Osaka (Japan), but they no-showed. Holding on to my tickets!! Rick... Speedy recovery. Hope you can make it back over here.
God damnit! I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG! Even more so ever since the first date with my wife. Long story short, we were at the back of a GA concert. I mentioned how I wished we were closer up, and she said “hold my hand, these do more than just make me look good (referring to her boobs)”. Next thing I knew we were up front and center stage. She cut through the crowd just like a fucking wedge! That’s when I knew I was a lucky man!!
It's really something to see Sammy Hagar just enjoying himself with what he does. How cool is that. Especially compared to *another* singer who once really had it but now for some reason thinks it helps him when he dresses up just wierd - like something a person coming to paint your house would wear??? And that other guy isn't also a guitar player. I've got to give it to Sammy Hagar. It was very good to see him having a great time like this.
I was able to pass out heough this great Tunnel of signatures and got back stage for a group called Widespread panic. And I saw This particular Sammy Hagar show, and twice since. I've been to this ICONIC venue probably about 20-30 times.
Sammy looks slimmer and younger. Love this guy. Seen him a million times in the Bay area and never been dissapointed. The most unusual one was him and Eddie Van Halen playing with Simon and Garfunkle in 93.
I went to that concert because Sammy was opening. Many others followed like went to Styx because the Babys opened, Little River Band because Poco opened, Jethro Tull because ELP opened, Pretenders because Iggy Pop opened, Iron Maiden because Twisted Sister opened, Billy Idol because the Cult opened.
I must have been about 10 when I saw that Movie and this song, Heavy Metal is great and this is the first time iVe heard Sammy do this in.... 30 years?????

Great performance! I still find the change that was made to the opening riff (both here and way back in an early recorded version) to be an odd choice. I first heard this song in the animated movie Heavy Metal where the opening is slightly different than subsequent versions…to me, the movie soundtrack version was different in a good way. Rock on Sammy!
I saw Sammy back in the day before Van Halen in Albany, NY. He had laryngitis....he came out and "jammed" the whole show...amazing! I believe Krokus opened up for him. 75 and still amazing 🖤🤘🖤🤘

Sammy never dissapoints - 75 and still one of the best singer/performer
You’d think he was 50! He’s unreal.
Absolutely.
How does he still sing like that?! Dude’s a legend.
@@BlakeNix He is, I think he’s wonderful, I wish he would do some shows in the UK.
Mike, Sammy and Vic can all sing. Great to hear Vic taking the lead vocals for awhile!
Sammy used to do this with Mona and Jesse Harms.
Cool too how it helps singers of their age to share those lead vocals, like it’s a ‘cheap trick.’ 😎
I love Vic too. He’s a great guitarist and seems to get overlooked a lot.

Truly remarkable that he has been able to keep his voice for so many years.
Saw Sammy Hagar live in Atlanta in the 80’s 2-3 times and each time rocked! How cool is it Jason is playing with him.
Nice to see Sammy still playing his own solo ... and sharing the mic with two others. Unreal these days.

Sammy's always been an underrated guitarist. NO shame in his game at all.
Sammy brought a lot to Van Halen. He could play guitar while Eddie played keyboards. Then Eddie would take the solo.
