Even after all these years, Michael Athony's bass playing and harmonies are still absolutely top-notch. You cannot have that signature Van Halen sound without him.

It's hard to replicate another musician sound. Eddie sound is forever in our heart,mind and soul. But Satriani is great as well different player, he's not Eddie. Love them both. I'm sure Satch will be modest and humble covering Eddie's tunes, to be sure to honor him.
As if we needed proof to how central those Michael Anthony harmonies were to the Van Halen/Hagar sound. Just incredible.

I just saw Sammy a few weeks ago in Florida. Great show, fantastic set. However, the idea of him and Mikey doing a "deep dive" into the VH catalog with Joe? This is going to be incredible.
I saw The Circle at the new "Sound" amphitheater in Clearwater and they were awesome. I see Sam every time he tours here in Florida and this was one of his best. It's hard to believe he just turned 76 last month!

Michael Anthony's harmonies are so killer. Underrated (and absolutely critical) member of VH.
Four keys to the Van Halen sound: Eddie's guitar playing, Alex's drumming, plus the sound of his snare, and Michael's harmonies. If you can duplicate that, you've got pure magic. Is this spot on VH? No, but theyll get my money for a ticket!

Mikey, you're so good it's unbelievable. Joe is fantastic, and no, he's not Ed. Ed was one of a kind, a once-in-a-millennium kind of soul. Nobody else is Ed. But that said, Joe sounds great and I love how much he gets into playing Ed's stuff. He's having a ball with it, and that's because of how brilliant Ed's music was.

He defintley does his stuff justice, he ain't just doing the leads great but his rythym playing is great to which is something that kinda gets underlooked a bit when it comes to eddie's playing.

Satch is an all-time player... and yet still nobody matches Eddie's rhythm chops. Just absolutely singular.

I really enjoyed Joe's slightly harder sound on this song. Can't put my finger on exactly what it is because I'm not schooled in music tech, but it was freakin awesome! This is going to be an amazing spectacle to behold.
I thought the same, I think Joe's guitar tone here is a little different than Eddie's, Joe's being more mid rangy than Eddie's , still sounds great and Joé is such an amazung player,but I think he didn't tried to mimick Eddie's exact tone
