Ahh... Dr. Mario... How i loved this game... More importantly, How much fun it was to play the Story Mode!
Dr. Mario's story is about how Mad Sceinstein tries to steal the Megavitamins to cure Rudy of his sniffles. Oh, and Wario tries to steal it for money (Karma is heavily applied). Mario doesn't deserve any of these battles, since Wario or Mad Scienstein seem to set these traps for him.
...A note about Helio's fight. He is unable to capture the floating blue virus, which is probably the only reason i won. His AI would tell him to make a ladder to the virus, but then the AI tells him to clear the ladder bringing him back to square one.
...Meh, a total time of 35:21 isn't that bad.

I used to play the original Dr. Mario on my Gameboy when I was a very little kid... I remember going to a hotel with my Mom while we went to Disney or something, and my twin brother and I were around nine or ten. They had this game to rent on the TV, and an N64 controller dangling underneath the TV. My mom paid one hour for me to play...I think it was $10 or so... I remember we beat it before the hour was up, but there was only one controller, so I couldn't play multiplayer with my brother... Instead, we traded off during the story mode. Thanks for the upload, it brings back good memories!

The music when you fight Rudy in this game should be played in the next Super Smash Bros in the returning stage Gamer to spice up drama trying to avoid Mom during battle.

They have to release another Dr. Mario game but with all the Mario characters like Goomba, Koopa and so on and not the Wario Land 3 characters.

Ah, Dr. Mario 64, I remember renting it one time during the Nintendo 64 days; the music in story mode is catchier than I remember! Honestly though, the story's a little cheesier than I remember too... Don't get me wrong though, still a fun game, but puzzle games tend to have really simple stories.

I am somewhat confused by the statement "[Helio's] AI prevented him from winning". Is Helio programmed to essentially fight a Vs. Match of attrition to try and win by causing you to fill up the bottle or is he simply unable to clear all the viruses from the bottle? Someone please explain.
I recall him saying somewhere else that his AI told him to build a tower to finish off the last viruses, but at the same time told him to clear any towers building.

sjl057, Nintendo and More! This was before Wario-man and WarioWare existed. this form was based off of the Wario Land 3 (or 4) game, since most of its enemies seem to come from there.
