This game is honestly one of the only games I see myself going back to every week, I’ve done 5 playthroughs lowering my best time from 26 hours to 11.5, my next attempt is gonna be so much fun!
I just finished this game for the first time and wow are the new ones bland. Not necessarily bad games, just not what paper Mario should be. They are sorely lacking personality. Im planning on playing TTYD next if I can find it at a decent price. I havent played it in years and have never actually beat it.
When I was a kid, I thought you had to do something special, like 100% the game, to see what Twink wanted to say to Peach and to see Peach's wish at the end. But it seems this is the ending you get no matter how much you accomplish in the game, and those two things they left out I guess were just unknown.
There are only 2 bosses that anyone could complete without taking damage and that's the first 2 the others you need luck or repel gel to not take damage
You have plenty of mods to download for this game. Pro mode, master quest and dark star are pretty worth it, depending on the difficulty you want to add
I'd have to disagree on some mechanics, I honestly did love TTYD but Jesus Christ those stage hazards in the battles really aggravate me to no end, it's dumb that I can just, end up frozen out of nowhere when the boss is at 5 HP left and I'm just unlucky to be frozen with no fault of my own. And don't even get me started on the dumb fog
If they ever do make another game in this format. There should be an opportunity sometime after chapter 1 at least where mario can meet with a member of Merlin’s family to take his legacy rush challenge where for each chapter you complete it extends the duration of the dream. And he puts you in a deep sleep and you fight all of the bosses from paper Mario 64, thousand year door and the current one back to back to see how many you can survive and get a rare rewards for every set of bosses you beat. Like for example beating the koopa bros, hooktail and whatever the boss of chapter 1 in this game was back to back will grant you the vip coupon granting you a free nights stay at an inn for every 10th stay.
Nintendo switch online would like to have a word with both of you. This game already came to Nintendo switch online meaning we will never be getting a remake for this game. If this game didn’t come to Nintendo switch online THEN it would’ve deserved a remake.

If Goomboss has more than 1 Attack Power, then even with attacking the tree roots at the beginning, it might not be possible to win damageless. I just reread the title “Chapter Bosses” and that illuminated me on why Jr Troopa is excluded.
You were mandatory to take damage there since you haven't got the lucky star yet which allow you to perform action command. There weren't any strong badges either except the power jump badge.
The first phase is ok, but the second one is a complete joke if you use Sushi or a Snowman. Went blind and defeated the second phase without the boss ever attacking

I only want to play the TTYD for Game Cube, but the games after that one suck, I hate the style and the battle mechanics

I know you could do it for huff n puff and crystal king since I did them in my play through but the other bosses are pretty impressive

Why is it just a generic star instead of a picture of the star spirit?
2 things I learned that are ESSENTIAL:
1.) Out of sight
2.) charge/danger/peril power jump
Out of Sight is basically a Rally Wink with extra steps, and Fan Smack has 10 Damage, Bow best partners no contest, maybe Watt is close tho.
