I would like the crash helmet. My daughter lives in Vietnam and is getting her first motorbike. I’m worried that the helmets here are not up to snuff and the one helmet I ordered from China cracked when she dropped it. It’s the perfect colour and perfect size for her and I would be honoured to take it off your hands.

Shmuel Yosef that was funny in the special. Didn’t work in the rain. My daughter was one of the first kids in Vietnam to wear a helmet. You couldn’t even get kids sizes back then. Now the police are cracking down, you must wear a helmet and way to much Chinese fakes on the market. They are about as effective as wearing a colander.

My girlfriend would love the helmet. We've met a few weeks back and she really wants me to take her for a ride on my Ninja 650. I've been saving up for a proper helmet ever since the first date. But it's hard saving up while being a student here. The helmet would actually be perfect for her since she is kinda clumsy (I hope she'll never read this). She once left the kid she babysitting for in a bicycle seat for over half an hour because she couldn't undo the straps, so a helmet without straps would be perfect. Plus the red goes perfect with the red accents on my bike.

I NEED THE HELMET. I have a Triumph Street Triple and previously I had a Triumph Speed four bike. Great pieces of hardware!
Last year I had a crash (not my fault) so my helmet is busted and I need a new one or I will die. Plus red is my favourite colour.
Bike is fixed and ready for season... only thing that is missing is a red helmet with James May's autograph on it!

I actually love the B58 because my father flew them. The detachable bomb bay, the four afterburner engines, and the fact that it was America's first supersonic strategic bomber, makes it s particularly impressive aircraft.

Would love the helmet, just recently got back into my bikes after spending 9 month in hospital 5 of which in a coma after been jumped whilst on my motorbike at a red light, took bike and damaged my helmet, I've got a new bike Honda Grom 125 😋

I had a clipper, the same in every respect except for the paint which was chipped and I loved it. The door lifts up and open too which is soo cool when you're a kid and my sons would appreciate that car no end.

Hi James! I went to Ohio for a flight physical (standard US Air Force stuff) and they have the best flight museum I’ve ever seen. I feel in love with the b-58 they had. The ejection seat is essentially a cocoon to protect you from supersonic ejection. I’m heading to pilot training soon and would love the model to build before I leave.

I am an avid motorbike rider for my daily commute I have a Yamaha FZ6-N and think the helmet is a brilliant bit of kit and it would fit if I was picked. I have never seen this sort of helmet and as a firefighter in Hertfordshire would also love the opportunity to get crews familiarised with this new technology and make them aware of opening procedures.

Mr. May, I have just received my fathers old bike it is a 1978 (one year before I was born) Yamaha 750xs tri carb with a direct drive shaft system. I have to restore the bike as before he passed was not able to ride it for many years. I think i am going to build the bike into a cafe' racer bike. But I love the color red and I have no protective gear yet this will be great for me to start with. Thank you very much Jason.

For I may be a little late a couple interesting facts about the b-58 is that it was supersonic and that it carried all of its armourments in a small pod underneath the fuselage.
I am 16 and i am just taking my motorcycle lincense, hopefully in april will be able to drive legally.
I think to buy a Yamaha MT 125 but i don't have a helmet yet. The helmet will fit me and i hope to win it. Also my birthday is on the 21. Cheers

I would love that matchbox rollamatic I used to play with my dads one as a kid at my grandparents house and I'm pretty sure one of my little cousins took it as a kid cos it just vanished one day and seeing that brought back sooooo many memories I would love to have that to put on my desk as a great memory!

i love the helmet to go with my GSX650F. the best reason for this healmet is the fact that being an all weather rider i find it annoying when i put my gloves on first then have to take them off to do my d ring. furthemore when its wet i hate to take my gloves off as they go all mushy.

In March of 1962 a bear named Yogi was ejected from a B-58 at 35,000 feet traveling at Mach 1.3 to test its escape capsule. The test was a success and Yogi survived.

Interesting fact about b58 bomber, their engines has been modified and used in airliner convair 880.
That B-58 model would look great at work sitting beside our J79 turbojet in the training area of our jet turbine repair and overhaul centre. Same era as the Rolls-Royce Avon that we work on (and the beginnings of the RR RB211 we work on too). The jet turbine engineer in me would definitely build that model!
I would like the model aircraft to pass some time in these boring times. And the box would be a great display object
Hello James I'd like the B58 because my grandad worked at Convair around that time and an interesting fact about the b58 is that Its pilots where used by the CIA to fly the A12 oxcart near the beginning of the program.

I would love the B58 hustler, its one of the very few smaller jet bombers in history that had a crew of three, namely the pilot, navigator and bombardier. Later in the 70's as you know with the advent of early military computers these tasks were able to be done with two personel. In any case, I want you to know that I have loved Top Gear, the Grand Tour and now Drive tribe, hoping more seasons of the Grand Tour are in the works. Much love and admiration

I would love the B-58 hustler kit as 2 years ago I got into making model kits and have always wanted one of the old ones. However as it is so old I probably will not end up making it and just leave it as it is. interesting fact: Convair built only 116 B-58's, 30 test aircraft and 86 that were operational; The B-58 is also much, much older than me.

My dad would love that helmet. He currently has a Suzuki tl1000r and having looked online there are only 59 left on the road. He has been unable to ride recently as he was involved in a crash in work and has been quite low as such. I would love to surprise with this, and hopefully it will help to cheer him up.

I know that the B-58 "Hustler" was our first supersonic bomber. It also had these crazy clamshell-type escape pod ejection seats. Don't know too much else about it but I work on its successor, the B-1B "Lancer."

Amazed to see the B-58 Hustler on show. You are right it is an interesting aircraft and as a kid I made kits like these and read lots about the planes. I remember being fascinated with the B-58 due to the capsule ejection system. As the soviets surface-to-air missiles developed the speed (B-58 was the first Mach-2 bomber) was not enough so it had to fly low which increased the wind shear. This meant traditional ejection was going to work so they developed the capsule ejection, although if you had large feet these pods were difficult to eject. I’m not sure what interesting facts you would like on this plane, we can all list a stream of technical information including the trophies it won, I believe the reason it is so difficult to give a fact is the plane did 10 years arrive to the US airforce and didn’t see combat once - this in itself is an interesting fact to me. Anyway if there is no one else I would gladly take this off your hands and treasure it. Many thanks (apologies about the length)

My grandfather (now in his 70s) used to be a usaf controller for those convairs and other planes like it back in the 60s and he went on to work at boeing in the 70s! He designed the parts to make the parts of the airplane, he also set up computer servers for Boeing in the late 80s. He also has a small collection of model airplanes, model cars and loves doing puzzles, so I would like to have that airplane to gift to him for his birthday!
