I know this is 10 years old but thank you - I have to change the radio and was gonna start the pry from the plastic wooden part instead of the surrounding grey part. You reminded me how it's done. Yes - I checked for the two screws and they were not there so this swap shouldn't take me more than 10 min 😃
I know this video is old but it is the only one I have seen the AC/heater and radio are the same as my 2007. I wanted to see if I could replace my own AC/heater control panel. I am just waiting for it to come, so I think I can do this on my own and not have the shop do it. I am glad I finally found a video to show me how to get the front panel off.
Hi I know this is an old video but I have a question for you I have a 2004 Dodge Durango and the recently replaced the stereo system and now my AC isn't working to have any ideas on what it could be
ok I need help im looking at adding a 2014 dodge challengert touch screen radio to my 2007 dodge Durango I have the same radio as in this video im replacing the bezel to fit it but the new radio has a extra power spot that mine dosent have is there a adapter I can get for it?
oh, im sorry but I have a 05 durango with infinity sistem and somebody tellme that i need a special adapter to conect a new stereo so if I only conect the normal way , will have sound?
Hey Roberto, i am stuck with the infinity system and when i dont use that second plug my sub doesnt work. What did you end up doing to make your stereo work?
i was told that some dodge durangos have an amp inside tht if stock radio is removed it will not work unless u connect an adapter tht costs 140 bucks. do u know what year carries these amps. i have a 2008
Try Crutchfield.com. If you only have 4 speakers, non Alpine system, you might still need an adapter, PAC C2R-CHY4. Guy at Best Buy said that I might get away with just a wiring harness, not sure what I'll do, don't like those 2 black half circles left in fake woodgrain after removing stock unit. Maybe just an Alpine amp.
apparently for this model theres an adapter you can install on the back of the stereo to add an audio jack I have the same stereo and it sucks not having aux jacks
I have a 2006 Durango with the stereo/navi all-in-one also with steering wheel controls. I'm told there are several things I need to swap-out this radio. 1. a special harness for the steering wheel controls and some other adapter because the factory stereo is connected with the car's computer. Any tips here? My only issue with stock is that this year, they didn't have bluetooth (and) the navi is with a DVD. For the price of the new DVD disk to update and some $200 bluetooth adapter, I might as well put a touch screen stereo in it with bluetooth already in the radio. Thoughts?
I love your videos by far the best on youtube, you get straight down to business.
