Folkdance is not like a modern dance but it's a traditional national dance of your country, I miss my days being a Folkdance dancer in my school..
Try to search BINASUAN FOLKDANCE... this dance about how you balance the glass in your head, also BANGA FOLKDANCE..

There are Sooooo many traditional dances tat as kids in school, we get to perform in at one school event or another. These can be a treat if you can feature them. There's Maglalatik, Sayaw sa Bangko, Binasuan Kuratsa, Itik-Itik, Cariñosa, Pandanggo sa Ilaw, and so many others like those coming from up North North of the Philippines where Igorots dance during their Kanyaw. There are also traditional dances from the Visayas and down South in Mindanao.

I mean, they were able to understand me but if they noticed that the accent is different they will automatically question your ability to help them. I just don't understand why nationality is a big deal. The only reason I am trying to deal with it is because of the people like you. They appreciate me for the effort to help them. And I just wished it's always like that

Students nowadays in higher elementary or grade school year levels and most especially in junior and senior high school levels do have some classes and lessons in Philippine folk, tribal, indigenous, and traditional dances, and practiced to dance Tinikling at some point in their schooling. This is a part of dance classes, lessons, module, or unit within the Physical Education component of the larger MAPEH school subject. MAPEH is a a single school subject of four combined subjects or components of Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health.

Many first time practicing amateur folk dancers who danced and practiced Tinikling dance, especially the faster beat and complicated dance steps, had some experiences of getting their foot or feet caught in between the bamboo poles, had some minor redness on their foot, or had experienced some bruises on their ankles.

the man on the first video actually shared the inspiration where the tinikling dance came about. The "TIKLING" birds were in abundance in Leyte and people got inspired to make a dance that mimic how the tikling birds hop and walk.

Tinikling is a hard but when you get the rhythm it is simple to learn. Another Philippine dance is called the singkil which also uses bamboo. You should also check that out.

Tinikling is a Filipino folk dance that depicts the long-legged Philippine bird TIKLING. There are many, many more local folk dances. The Bayanihan Dance Company, a world-renowned folk dance troupe, is one of many dance companies that promote Filipino folk dance and music.

Always love your reactions! A bit of background on the dance. Tikling is a bird that is common to Luzon in the Philippines. Tinikling means tikling-like or like a tikling. Tikling is a long-legged bird and the dance depicts a tikling trying to escape from a trap. I hunted the tikling with a sling shot growing up in a small village in the Philippines. Writing from Virginia, USA.

The Traditional Dance (Folk dance) is a country dance. This dance is performed by peasants. Most of this country dances are really difficult. However, the most difficult part is not only the moments and choreographies but also the essence that while performing these dance you must smile and enjoy it. Because country dances are mostly performed by peasants after harvest or during fiestas.
Eg. Tinikling, sausage sa bangko, pandanggo sa ilaw and many more.
In addition, there is also called a royal traditional dance. This dances are performed by the elite Filipino during Spanish colinization. It is more modest and elegant than fun looking.
    Eg. Cariñosa and many more
