*me watching this then I remember I have my project about folk dance* *dashi run run run~~~* And btw thank you guys so much about the shout out ❤️❤️ *sending love from the Philippines* ❤️❤️
A Filipina here. I remember dancing that in school for Physical Education classes except for the blindfold of course. Considering that's dangerous for first timers. I managed not to get my feet caught but a few close calls. I remember accidentally stepping on my partner's foot too. Thankfully it didn't stop our dance and we managed to continue to the end.
They're not professionals, but UCLA students who took time out of their studies to learn and showcase the dance of their grandparents' motherland during Philippine Cultural Night. These days only the young-uns attempt it blindfolded.
Physical education subject in High School we had to dance it for grades. Those dancers are folk dancers group in their school. Tinikling, it's bamboo stick whole one.
You should watch different varieties of it. There's one balancing vases on her head, balancing lighted can on top of the head with while holding lighted candles on both eyes.
hooo! this takes me back! high school intramurals and sports fests were the bomb! though getting ya ankles clapped by two bamboo poles by accident was an e x p e r i e n c e ngl lol!
Me and my classmates back in junior high school dance that for a Field demonstration, we practice for a whole week for 1-2 hour/s after we performed I came home with a swollen feet
Yep, at first before you actually try to dance, you'll be like the rhythm is easy but then when you actually try it your feet could be hit in between the bamboo sticks that you use them the dancing bouncing bare is not easy well when you are performing outside... Outside like in a big Field where students play football or whatever extra curricular activities
We actually dance that in my school and every year the dance was going to be the school's traditional dance but suddenly it's stop because of the covid so 😢
These are really basic Tinilkling dance steps. I think this is a school performance and the dancers are students. There's a ton of yt vids of our professional cultural dancers performing it (Leyte Heritage Dancers, Bayanihan Dancers, Kalinangan Dance Troupe, etc). Also, there are other Pinoy folk dance that are just as fun and entertaining like 'maglalatik', jota, fandango sa ilaw', etc. Our most treasured folk dance is really Singkil, a Maranao traditional dance. It also uses bamboo poles. But singkil is more on drama and storytelling. Not everyone can dance it, though. In a dance company or troupe, only their best and most experienced dancers are tapped to perform the singkil.
And these aren't even pure Filipinos! They didn't grow up with this , and yet they were spectacular! If you enjoyed that, you'd enjoy this MORE! th-cam.com/video/me3zQLQ1rrQ/w-d-xo.html

this dance is damn hard even for me being a filipino, just one wrong move and you will be yelled "FROM THE TOP!!"
You should watch different varieties of it. There's one balancing vases on her head, balancing lighted can on top of the head with while holding lighted candles on both eyes.
A tinkling dance, with a combination of exercises, and exebation.

Thanks for the suggestion!
If you try that, that is one of a hell tiring of all the dances I have ever danced. You'll lose 10 pounds, 😂
When my tita was teaching me and my siblings the dance she wouldn't tell us if we did it wrong the bamboo would
❤️❤️🇵🇭
❤️❤️🔥🔥

Tinikling is a marshland long legged bird in the Phil.
😱😱
Harold, *Tikling* is the Bird. *Tinikling* is the dance patterned on Tikling's movement on the Marshland
I'm actually really sad the tinkling dance isn't a thing very often..
It should be! It’s so cool!

No one believes this but when we are dancing tinikling we aren't allowed to look down, so it's no surprise they're doing it blindfolded
I recommend ez mil song fraud is good thanks you guys
