  • With 40 years of research and experience in magnetic braking systems, we have now added a
brand-new SV BOOSTER SYSTEM that gives you all the control you know and love from our SV Concept, now with the added benefit of longer casting distance. Also featuring our brand new
HYPER DRIVE DESIGN for an ultra-smooth retrieve and powerful winding performance.
Our HYPER DRIVE DESIGN is comprised of four key technologies- HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT, HYPER ARMED HOUSING and HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH.
HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR- a brand-new gear design makes the teeth of the gears more efficient at transferring power, therefore making the gear set feel smoother, more powerful and also reducing gear noise.
HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT- a two bearing support system for the reel's pinion gear means no flex and an ultra smooth retrieve/ gear rotation.
HYPER ARMED HOUSING- the reel features an aluminum frame and side plate for maximum rigidity and precision performance of the internal components.
HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH- a redesigned and reinforced clutch mechanism increases durability and performance.
These features combine to make the new Zillion SV TW a peak example of design, function and innovation.

I just got the left handed (I'm right handed but now I can cast right handed and not do the switcheroo) 8.5 ratio version. I love the reel. It was an addition to my Calcutta 100 92 (Yes, an old reel). I've been doing 99% of my fishing with a spinning reel. But for whatever reason, I got a bug bite and wanted to use baitcasters most of the time now. My Calcutta is a bit finicky and I had the hardest time with it. But TH-cam. My God. So much help. It's casting good now. And I got this reel. I've only backlashed once. Not really sure what happened but I upped the dial from 2 to 4 and haven't backlashed since. But even at 2 it's amazing.
My only complaint, isn't with the reel. That's a 10 out of 10 for me. My complaint is the terminology. Please stop with the hyper this and the hyper that. It's.... Like reading a 50s automatic transmission ad. Use the word to describe one thing and let it go after that.

I just received a brand new Daiwa Zillion 21 SV TW G reel ( ZLNSVG100H ) but without the cast control cap or the stem. Where can I order an authentic replacement cap and stem for it or any that is compatible?
I think the Daiwa part number is H28-1201 but I’m not 100% sure on that or what the stem it covers is. This Zillion 21 is a pretty well known reel so I figured you guys might have a good idea of what would work here.
    Thank you!

So do is it possible to put a steel A handle on the reel? The reason I’m asking is that I am wanting to get a 8:1 speed reel and I find the handle knobs to be way to small on the zillion. If so were can I find the handle for purchase?

  • @facultylynx9854

To be totally fair Shimano isn't much better. Claiming they have a computer chip in their reel. Shame on them. It's nothing more than a variable resistance capacitor on a tiny circuit board because wires wouldn't make it sound fancy. . It just uses the same Lenz law that Daiwa has been using forever, holds it for a fraction of a second and than releases it in pulses. It's pre World war 2 technology. Exactly how most modulation pedals for a standard electric guitar works. A typical reverb, delay, chorus, or flanger. I surprised they didn't claim their reel doesn't have a quad core processor too.

  • @facultylynx9854
    @facultylynx9854 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dear Brent Ehrler,
Do you consider yourself a honest person.? Lenz's law, named after the physicist Emil Lenz who formulated it in 1834,[1] says that the direction of the electric current induced in a conductor by a changing magnetic field is such that the magnetic field created by the induced current opposes changes in the initial magnetic field. Ie: Magnetic fields from strong magnets can create counter-rotating currents in a copper or aluminium pipe. This is shown by dropping the magnet through the pipe. The descent of the magnet inside the pipe is observably slower than when dropped outside the pipe. (It's not the pinnacle of Japanese technology, the only thing new here is the gimmick name.
It's marketing hype. they've been spinning a magnet around a drum for 30 yrs, just like in the old Procaster 101.
