Never thought watching paint dry could be so entertaining. You are a master craftsman. My only minor critique is.... your cameraman caused me to have motion sickness when you were spraying. I think they were moving the camera faster than you were moving the paintgun. LOL

I'm not saying cut it out completely but maybe tone it down a little more. I'm not trying to sound bitchE it's just a little distracting that's all. It never fails. I was reading the last message where he was telling you to out more videos. Me, I understand what it takes every step of what you do except for the camera stuff which I know takes a lot of time as well as editing, dubbing in the music. The time you lose just moving cameras around. I watch several different you tubers of different sorts. I watch videos when they pop. As far as me, just do what you do when you do it and the rest seems to fall in place. Thanks for sharing. One thing I thought I might try if I ever get a chance to have a booth would be to put one of those small lifts that fit beneath the car and remove the tires so I could lower the car, paint the top and then raise it up as you paint down. Just a thought, lol.
To keep the dust to a minimum, apart from the usual airborne dust, damp down the floor as I see you have a fair amount of it not brushed out of the way. This helps big time as when you move the air line about it'll kick up a small amount of dust as will walking around. I used to work with a sprayer who NEVER sprayed paint WITHOUT damping down the floor. Try it Mike, you`ll see the difference immediately.
Awesome video as always Mike. You and Randy have inspired me to start my own CoPart project. Ended up picking up a 91 Mazda Miata here in Colorado. Has significant hail damage. I have been fixing the damage and am getting ready to start painting. Being that this is my first time, I’m still learning the process. Would you mind going into some more depth on the prep work for the next stage of your project? I.E sanding (what grits), cleaning (wax/grease remover?) Etc. I appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos man!
Honestly, every dollar you make out of this you earn it all the way. I can't imagine how time consuming the prep alone would be. As always learning heaps. Cheers.

We want you around for a long time putting out excellent vids. 2) I think you looking into a shipping container and converting it to a paint booth sounds excellent. You and your kids can get it done together.
It's a flip truck and you said it best it's gonna pull more money all shiny and one color (Black) than it would on a lot. If it was a resto paint job a down draft paint booth would be needed. Mike aka WB have you ever razor blade strip a car before? We use to do dodge neons like this it was faster and saved sandpaper and we were doing them at warranty pricing so you know the got done everywhere in the shop 😂 Also next paint project you should put a drop plastic above the vehicle to keep dust from falling off the rafters IDK you probably know what's falling from where by now. Great job!!

Just a tip I saw on chrisfix. He used braided fishing line to remove emblems which worked pretty slick and less chance of damaging emblems than using a putty knife.

That’s why we only paint the backside and then paint the outside once it’s properly installed on the truck 🙂
