I keep coming back to see if we have anything new, a flip car, something on scrapping, update on the dodge, maybe even something on the 70's green beast, I completely understand my man. As a creator myself on youtube. Life gets in the way and we have other things we must take care of first. Just dropping you a note today to say. We are here, we will wait until the time is right. Truly hope everything settles down and you are in a good place. PEACE!
That Trim piece was there when u took delivery of the car, i just looked back at the video titled "Taking delivery of AAR '59 Dodge Coronet" at 22:50 Minutes is a good view of that rear side quarter
The stainless trim and chrome make the 59 look so fine! I tape hardware to trim just like you, cuz I know it might be years before I put it back together!
I like the taillights turned. The design idea at the time had to be "rocket thruster exhaust" seen from the side - Space Age. But this looks good to me. Really glad you're back, Mike.
Great to see the '59 Dodge back on the channel - I've been a fan of it since day 1, and am looking forward to seeing it fully back together. PS the tail lights look great the way you have them - its nice to have your personal touch on this beautiful old car.
You are exceptional! Yes, I really like the tail lights being rotated like you did it. I remember way back then (I'm 72) whey people souped up their new rig and did little mods like yours. I did too! (in the 60s and 70s) . When the plastic trim and shrouds started coming in, the fit was poor and some painted shrouds were painted and then faded. When I was in college, becoming an Electrical Engineer, I became friends with a girl who carried around a Snoopy stuffed animal and worked for Delco Lorain. Later, I met my wife, not her, who had a 1976 Chevy Nova in Firethorn Red Metallic, and she visited us. I asked her why that bumper plastic go between had faded to silver and she said, "Oh, I, with my Chemical Engineering degree made that happen. She filled a chalkboard wit chemical bonds and then said, "Vu-la-la!!!" and eliminated one of the hundreds of bonds and said, "That did it!!!!". She laughed; I about strangled her. Mystery solved. I absolutely love your passion and determination for detail. I am also a retired guy who does a bit on my nine old clunkers, given back to me from some of our 8 kids go to college and military. You help me to have the determination for detail. Love you a lot, Weird Beard. Denny from Pennsylvania
Everyone should know that when doing body work, tape up the mounting holes so 1. You don’t fill the trunk with overspray , and 2. It keeps out dust, dirt and water too
Man, you've been working on these cars for a long time. It's gonna feel so sweet once you get them done and out the door... It will probably be a nice fat stack too.
Mike ... ur updates always inspire me to get things finished on stuff around the house! My wife knows this too - - that's how she knows you've uploaded a new video. Tail light change was most cool!
On those taillights, your tweak to them is much better looking than stock. This is a beautiful car and that is going to look totally bad-ass cruising down the highway.
That old Dodge is starting to look absolutely gorgeous. Also I like the way you did the lights on the rear. Just gives it a custom look and original feel all in one
So glad to see your back doing more videos more often ! I know whatever you post people will want to see it ! Hope your daughter is doing great ! Glad to hear she is working hard to make her own way in life and find her passion in what she wants to do ? God Bless Sir
I enjoy watching you due to the fact that you are doing things the best way you can and what ever you have laying around. Like I do. Keep it up and keep on keeping on . Peace out
I agree! I like the way you put the tail lights on much better than original, which I thought didn't make sense. It would have been cool to see a video of them putting all those pieces on while on the assembly line!
I personally love all the chrome on the older vehicles. My first car was a 66 Coronet 440 two door hardtop. What a beautiful car. Nothing really special, 318, automatic transmission, power steering, and am radio. I made a couple of modifications, and I'm pretty sure it doubled the horsepower. I added a chrome air cleaner and dual exhaust with chrome tips. First thing my dad said was to get my car to the muffler shop. Mine had a hole in it. He didn't approve of the duals, but it was 100% my car. I worked after school, saved up my money, and bought it. I'm no dummy, so dad checked it out and gave it a thumbs up before I laid out $400.00 cash. She was beautiful, solid white with a dark blue interior. I wasn't a fan of the stock hubcaps, so I scrounged through the junk yard and found some good-looking Pontiac hubcaps. Lots of chrome. Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your memories with us. Nothing like your FIRST car. I remember mine too. It was a rusty old 2 tone Chevy Silverado. Green and white. I turned my dad’s driveway into an oil slick rebuilding that old truck. It’s what started it all lol.
I’ve been waiting for this video for a long time , and it was well worth the wait !! The car is beautiful with all the trim back on it ! Thanks for another , Brother !
It may be a good idea to learn specta chrome system. It's basically paint on rechroming. In 2007, Grave Digger did an entire body in spectra chrome and it looked fantastic. I've seen multiple times people have used it and it looks great for 1/3 the price of rechroming. Good money maker.
Thanks for the new video. I left work early because wasn't feeling well. I seen u posted video and it puts smile on my face. Thanks for sharing ur rebuild journey. God bless you and the family

Thought you had given up the dodge after grief you had, glad you’ve got your Mojo back 👍👍👍👍
Didn't AAR. ABANDON THAT AT YOUR SHOP😅😅😅
@@gerry-p9x No he gave the title to the car to Mike.
I want to like the re orientation of the 59 dodge tail lights, but after looking at it for a while, I think the original stock orientation looks best.
He should give its been 50 years am sure alot of stuff got lost after 50 of it sitting
tail lights look great the way you did them
100% better that way!!!
Thanks for your vote
@weirdbeard8898 Bro where'd you go again? We miss you

Truly, "they don't build them like they used to". Great to see the Dodge going back together.
Tape trim holes to prevent over spray going in to the trunk .

That car is sick. I'm jealous.
The Fury is sweet too. I saw those videos.
Love the taillights the way you did them looks way better then factory in my opinion…
You could polish chrome with a kitchen foil and water, works as a treat.
WB love the videos. I know the work it must take, please keep them coming it is really appreciated when you upload a new one. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The Coronet looks stunning. rear lights and all. You can be proud of how it is turning out, a real head turner!
Glad you approve of the lights
Glad you're posting again! ❤️ 0:35
More to come
What? Two videos in one month! The gods have smiled upon us! Great video man the car looks great!
The coronet!!! Thank you weird beard!!! You’re awesome sir. Appreciate the content

No problem. Thanks for hanging around so long

That 59 is a work of art. Not whats the cheapest way to build it.

I think the taillights look good the way you did em 👍
I think so too. Glad you like them
The coronet is looking really good.
Thank you
These cars are from an era where everything looks like a rocket, so in my opinion, the tail light looks a lot better the way you put them.
love what you did with the tail lights!
Thanks for your vote
So happy to see the 59 back I like the taillights the original way honestly
Stylistically, I like the taillight hoods up. But, the original design makes the taillights more visible from the side.
Looks Cool !
I’ve been waiting for this video for a long time , and it was well worth the wait !! The car is beautiful with all the trim back on it ! Thanks for another , Brother !
The trim is making all the difference. Glad you’re into it

Thank you for that
Rear lights look good, greetings from Spain.
Older cars are just rolling pieces of art. With all the curves and chrome
So true
Definitely like the new orientation of the taillights brother, you have an eye for small details that make a car better
It’s the little things that make the difference without going overboard
YES ! on the new position of the light s
OVERSPRAY!!! Sucks when you miss a hole and get paint where it's not supposed to be!!! And sucks cleaning it up!!! Keep up the great work Sir!!!
I like the way you did they tail lights
Thanks
