In fact both Lahr and Wunstorf were Airfield tracks, same for the following round at Zweibrücken. I can't really explain why, but it seems those kind of tracks were rather popular in the 90's.

I personally love the airfield tracks.It was a break from the norm.

Same problem as BTCC; they never got the hang of front wheel drive.
They came back in 1999 when the Abt team were allowed to use Quattro again.
