- Making another glass cage for my new babies budgie birds :) This time I am making it even better than the last glass cage I made. I need to tell you again, It is not recommended to place scared and not tamed birds inside a glass cage. and speaking of the glass cage, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to budgies have great ventilation inside. Glass is only on the front. This type of cage is easy to clean and budgies have great space to fly.

We followed this tutorial for ours but with little kids we needed a hinged door that can be locked (the plexi slider is not secure at keeping kids out- found that our after I installed it. Just finished it tonight and got the birds moved! Super cute bird cage!

Hey Alan! Love your videos, thank you! My family added 2 budgies to the family a month & half ago from pet store- training is definitely needed. I purchased a store bought cage for the temporary home. My husband & I just finished a china hutch we converted into their new flat last night 😃 The only non galvanized wire mesh I could find I had to order from Amazon- I painted with no voc paint- and still figuring out the set up. My question- do your birds chip/ chew off the paint in your cage? And are the budgies doing ok from that if so? All your birds look healthy & happy!! Thank you, LauraGayle

That was absolutely beautifully made cage. Well done. I would hope you could do a smaller version as well, so one person could pick it up. I very much like your work. I need to make a cage for birds that need much smaller bars than regular cages. They are called," bronze winged mannikins." You have given me insight on how I may be able to do a cage myself. Thank you for showing us all your expertise.

Hey I'm taking good care of my budgie by your inspiring videos
Recently got 2 Female Cockatiels, Revali and Melodi, though i did not build the bars of the cage I made major changes to a large one I bought.
I built a wood base for it!
Built a Drawer for the mess tray, and a space for the bottom rack to slide into over the mess tray drawer.
Table is
24in W, 36in L, 24in H
Cage on top is
20in W, 31in L, 40in H
Changed the door latches as it was simple enough to open from the inside and removed the door springs. Could not stop a budgie let alone a cockatiel!
I repainted the cage part with a tropical Red, and kept the table base at a sanded smooth wood finish!
i just subed bc im getting a bird soon and this is showing a good influance to them

Maybe put some shredding toys in their cage (you can make them too) and then it’ll be perfect
One of my bird has gone half blind. He's still as cheerful as ever, drinking or eating normally, playing with others but when he flies he can never land accurately and falls over.
Is there any suggestions I should follow?
He didn't go blind instantly or anything.
He seem to have problem for over a month now but now it has gotten worse. since it's lockdown I couldn't do anything.
What should I do now?
@@mira-hj1jx you can still go to your bird vet. vets should be open even in lockdown bc for me it was in stage 4 lockdown
My mum had a weak sighted parrot. She alwayz tells me how trained that little fellow was.. You can train your budgie the same way.. Also do not keep shifting the things in the cage or in the room.. keep it at the same place so that he remembers where is what... Provide him a composed surrounding..check your other birds..if you see them fighting then seperate them.. Do visit the vet when things settle.. For now u can clean his eyes with a Q-tip and saline water..

the same happened to my cockatiel, his eye was kinda swollen for a while and he couldn't see out of it. he died a couple weeks later, so please go to your vet
