- Making bird house in the garden? It took me about two months to create a budgie aviary in my garden, saying goodbye to the small budgie cage and limited space. Now, they can enjoy the great outdoors! I'm delighted with how it turned out-it's well-insulated against both heat and cold. I've even started growing millet inside the aviary, providing them with everything they'll ever need.

The best part is when they fly out of the cage into the aviary for the first time. You can hear how excited and happy they are! 😊

Very labor-intensive and I wouldn't have the patience. I would hire guys to build an avary.
As a boy, I raised budgies and enjoyed them immensely ! One of my budgies, a light blue, would wake me up for school get out of its cage somehow when he would hear my alarm clock. He would fly onto my head & nibble on my ear until I got out of bed ! ☺️ Later, I saw that he used his beak to pull up the cage door and then used his head, neck & shoulders to push it up and fly out ! 😁 Great childhood memory of a lovely budgie ! ❤
