    • @GinoMtzRamos
      @GinoMtzRamos 5 ปีที่แล้ว +110

      how can he apologize when he is not sorry? You are missing the point of the conflict. Both of them are moving in different directions with different strategies. In my point of view, eduardo was completely lost trying to do what he thought was best without consulting anyone else. Even if he was CFO and a good guy from the start, he completely blew the opportunity to be part of the startup by not being there and stubborn to consider other opportunities. The movie still makes it sad to see how bad it went for him, when he was always the good guy and with parker being such an antagonistic character. What a good dramatization, love this movie.

      Mikey Lewis It's difficult to assess what EXACTLY happened in real life, but strictly on this movie's terms, he was treated pretty appallingly. He didn't make things easy for himself sometimes and could've handled things a little differently but he was overall treated unfairly.

    He's the CFO not making very much headway in bringing in more funding for the company. Mark finds a random joe who had better luck at it and taps him to make connections around for Facebook essentially doing a better job at finding and connecting for more funding for the company than the CFO he squeezes out of the company. So Mark is getting creative at getting funding, socializing the company for more publicity awareness and draw, and different styling techniques to make it more user friendly and attractive while CFO is doing things the long and hard way and taking too long.
    Do I have this right?

    • @johns783
      @johns783 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      pretty much. though he was hardly a 'random joe'. he was a well connected tech businessperson with Napster prior, so essentially a nerd rock star. we're meant to feel sorry for Eduardo, but his own ego got in his way the way it's depicted in the film. if he rolled with the new developments better he might not have gotten screwed over. that said, he's doing just fine now, so..

Cartoon Animation, LLC o it’s accurate, read the book ‘the accidental billionaires’ Eduardo is a jilted friend so it stands to reason when he contributed to the book it would be very accurate. They took word for word some of the emails with the twins. Wouldn’t you want an author to tell your story, let alone make a movie about something that took over the world? Eduardo spilled the beans. Mark is an angry introverted socially awkward nerd who stole a concept and was first out of the gate. Plain and simple.

    "You know what I read about you?" The way that question is asked really set Eduardo up, b/c now he's led to think he's important enough to have been mentioned somewhere. Then Sean whispers "nothing" in such a cruel way and shows just how vindictive he can be. But here we have two contrasts: Eduardo the "good guy" who doesn't have the business experience or connections to really level FB up, who thinks pure hard work of riding subway 14h a day will get him the results. Then Sean's the douchey guy who nevertheless has the connections and savvy to help leverage FB into a global heavyweight. Sean arranging a single meeting with Peter Thiel has more impact that Eduardo riding than subway for a month :(

Their problem with Eduardo is that he wouldn't come out to Palo Alto and he was holding a lot of stuff up because they needed his signature to move ahead on things. I don't think he even cared as much as they try to portray in the scene. Even the whole blow up in the office after he finds out about the shares never happened. He didn't find out until months later and that was by mail. I don't think he ever came out to California at all.
