    I am more than surprised that LEGO is going with a more filled-in look for their sets than just the hollow look they have been going towards for the past decade and a half. These sets look like real vehicles. Actually more like MOCs in how complete and detailed they are. I'll probably pick these up

    The excavator and mobile crane look quite realistic for toys marketed at children. Ecstatic to see a harbor, always a cause for celebration and I love the inclusion of an overhead crane.

    I agree with you 100% on the cargo harbor. It seems like the designers focused too much on pedestrian stuff rather than the actual cargo aspect of it. What I think they should have done was removed the building and bench/information pier, add a few play features to it, and had that as its own separate set. Then add onto the dock a lot more with a truck, an area for the shipping containers, and maybe even a forklift. They could have also made the two sets connectable with the brick that allows a pin to be attached.

    • @BlagovestBuyukliev
      @BlagovestBuyukliev 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I think the harbor set will complement nicely with the 60336 Freight Train from 2022. It has a flatcar with the same size of container and a red reach stacker for loading and unloading. The reach stacker could offload the containers from the train, stacking them beneath this red crane. The crane would then transfer the containers to the ship.

    I love that it seems Lego is getting back into the construction theme. I always thought they missed a golden opportunity when the Lego Movie came out with the main character, Emmet, being a construction worker. I'm all about cranes...I made a minifig scale Liebheer crane 4 years ago...and I work in bridge construction, so this is a WIN for Lego.

    One of my favorite sets that I craved for months as a kid, and was ecstatic to get back then, was the Legoland Town Construction Mobile Crane #6361, with 152 pieces, from 1986. Now LEGO has come up with one with >1100 pieces near $100. It would have driven me insane! Not that my parents would ever been able to afford such a thing at the time...

    Loved all your coverage of these city sets Jang! So on point with the crane and excavator - they are knock outs! The harbour sadly doesn't quite flow together liked you pointed out. Where's the cargo truck and it should be all industrial. Oh well some easy mods to fix. Thank you for being objective about the price of the car transporter. No denying it's in the greed pricing territory and is not defensible. I love the concept though and just wish it received the full Speed Champion treatment.

    I wish the harbour set would be split into two separate sets. The seaport could do with a few railway track pieces and one or two flatbed cars for loading the containers onto, while the tourist-oriented harbour could be made into a recently redeveloped/gentrified docklands area, or just be kept as is. I also really love the looks and features of the crane and excavator.

    I believe for the cargo ship set they could have made two sets, one focused on cargo, more industrial and another on a waterfront set with mixed retail and housing. The set they have just looks like they tried to take both ideas and put them together.

    To answer you question about tandem rotor helicopters:
    Yes, in real life, the rotors counter-spin so the torques they generate will cancel each other out. You can clearly see it on the Chinook when it flies.
    I don't know how the rotors on the helicopter set will spin, though.
