- We are excited to announce our all new Br4. The Br4 is a new model firearm that utilizes a DISSENT upper, and our all new lower. This lower utilizes a Remington 870 style stock, and give the feel of more classic firearm designs. The Br4 was made with the goal to be a firearm that can be owned in more restrictive states and municipalities, yet have technology that is seen in more modern firearms.

Lower height over bore is a benefit for your holdovers and point of impact at various distances
My wife’s boyfriend swears by low scope mounts. I’m a 1.70 man myself but to each their own
@@T20-c8f yeah that's right 😆
Only 400 rounds of 55gr through it so far and maybe 100 of various other match rounds.
But I love it so far. Good balance, good features and controls.
Safety takes some getting used to with how protected the button is. But that’s just a skill issue.
Really want to get a 9mm conversion upper.
The trigger is fantastic.
pls do a review soon
CALIFORNIA CHECKIN IN....KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO CMMG! 🔥
Would love to see a config similar to this in 308
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for that 😉
@@CMMGy'all declared war on my wallet
I came here to say this!!
They're out if you didn't see 😉
Well done, CMMG!
Hey look, it does the same thing as a MCX Regulator for 1K less!
CMMG always innovating. Love it.
FightLite was doing this with their SCR for years.
You have a strange definition of "innovation" since FightLite had this in - what - 2017? And Sig earlier this year.
@@OFFICIALUND with a side charging handle and in so many calibers?
@@HarleyWood23 Calibers in every iteration of AR have been done long ago. And there’s a dozen options for side charging uppers out there (avoid buying from Gibbz Arms….ask me how I know).
@@OFFICIALUNDthat didn’t answer the question. I’ll help you out. Sig and FightLite have not produced one that combines side-charging, commie-grip-compliant, that’s also available in so many calibers.
Thanks for showing us the new rifle. This rifle has great lines.
Nice! Looks great and half the price of the Sig MCX Regulator? I need to put this on my Christmas list.
Will the dissent upper work on the FM ranch lower, and visa versa? Really enjoy the FM ranch rifle, and would love a 'nicer' version of it. The price tag on these is gonna be hard to swallow compared to the Fm though.
Thank You! NY requires a non-threaded barrel and a 5 round mag cap.
Do you offer a non-threaded barrel, at least for the softer shooting calibers?
Not yet, but looking at it.
@CMMG you guy are awesome for this. TY. Just a heads up. NYC guidelines are stricter than the rest of NYS. If you take a look at the Fightlite SCR with the non-threaded barrel, you have a NYC compliant rifle as long as you have a 5 rd mag, which is therefore compliant for all of NYS, and probably nationwide. And just an idea, 5.7x28 in a 16" non-threaded barrel wouldn't kick, IJS.
They have non threaded on their website now btw
@@daltonv5206 yup. Saw. Good looking out!
Really great design regardless of state compliance, would be a great primary hunting rifle / secondary general purpose rifle. Also great tip about keeping the optics mounted low, makes sense considering the design.
I know this was initially designed for multi-state compliance; but this is a brilliant design for a SPR and reminds me of a M14/M1A aesthetic (I can't get one cause MD is a stupid state).
You should be able to. We just cannot ship the lower for this to MD. Or were you referring to not being able to get a M14/M1A?
That's very nice. And CA legal I think
So the biggest question, any plans to sale just the lower so people can choose any of your uppers?
Mix an match style.
It will be a complete lower with the ZEROED trigger and the stock. But yes!
Can we assume the loose Rail fix from the mk47, is applied on this rifle?
There was one issue with Tactical Considerations' rifle. That was an early prototype handguard that should not have been installed on the firearm and was replaced for him. There have been no other concerns out side of that one off issue.
@CMMG thank you guys for getting back, and for the invention of the rifle
could you guys show how to reverse the crossbolt safety? thank you!
i second this. please have a 1 minute short or something
If only I could decide on going with 6ARC or 300BLK, love the design of this rifle! Cool change up. Also curious how other handguards would be available for this type of rifle?
Due to the charging system being in the handguard, we don't know of any aftermarket options currently.
That's the COOLEST NEW RIFLE I'VE EVER SEEN ❤.
Does HMR included in the various caliber available?
Tell us you didn't watch the video without telling us you didn't watch the video. They listed the calibers within the first two minutes.
Nice setup. Thanks for adding us left handed people.
Really love this rifle. Next buy.
Do you guys gave plans for making an ambidextrous charging handle?
Threre is a right side option to purchase for the gas operated guns currently. The gas tube gets in the way but we are working on an option. The 9mm is ambi.
Thanks from the west😮
Shalom to the great folks at CMMG, just wondering if you can US source and manufacture CMMG Rifle Scopes & Optics. I will buy the first 4 LPVO's if you decide to make this happen.
Question, what’s the msrp range? That’s gonna be the deciding factor for many
YT doesn't allow us to put pricing. They will be on our website early next week.
A Sig cross style foldable stock would be awesome.
You can get both top folding and side folding stocks for the 870 already. The top folder might not play well with optics or even iron sights, though.
Folding stocks are illegal in ban states
What is the height of the rings on the Vortex LPVO that is on this rifle? I am getting the Vortex Venom for my Br4 and would like to mount it as low as possible
You're going to want to use low or medium. We have a Strike Eagle on this. Low just clears, but if you have the quick throw lever or slightly larger eye piece, you'll need medium.
It seems like standard pop-up iron sights would be too high for a cheek weld on this, even with the riser on the stock. What iron sights are recommended?
scorpion evo style are fine.
What’s the score is on that rifle I like to know in the moaning system on my particular rifle. Good day.😊
Looks good. Would like to see some larger caliber options but I like it.
Noted!
How about P&W barrels on the pistol calibers? Don’t need much more than 10” of barrel to get max velocity. A 10” barrel with 6” muzzle device/suppressor would be pretty compact
Looks great but that safety seems very cumbersome and perhaps difficult to dissengage quickly. Maybe you could sell an enlarged safety button for it.
Is that the midnight bronze color??
Yes
I love it but i beat ya to it. I'm using a Fight Lite lower receiver with the 16" 5.56 Dissent upper receiver. It's been an awesome setup. But yes I'll be getting a BR4.
This may sound crazy, but if you guys ever decide to offer an AR10 pattern lower, with a 16" .308 upper, you'd have a modern day M14. I'd take that setup over an M1A any day! Just a suggestion.
sounds like something we should work on 😉
Use BIS, scope mounts and dot mounts designed for an AK47. Work perfectly with this rifle.
Any plans to make it in short action?
You know us, we like giving as many caliber options as possible 😉
This rifle, sig's and the foxtrot Mike's rifle might make Ruger step up with the Mini 14/30.
That would be awesome
@@rustymcmartin it seems there is a market there that people want but do not go down because of the Mini's lack of mag compatibility.
@@johnkrstyen7351 If the MIni-14 uses AR15 magazine nobody will buy it because of the price.
14.5 with a P&W Reardan muzzle device would be cool.
Its a great start, but there are few states this still wouldnt be legal, including my state of Illinois. Make a version without a barrel shroud and a plain Jane muzzle that is not threaded and you might be able to sell it here.
Trust us, we are trying. Unfortunately the 🤬gun grabbers like making ignorant "laws" faster than we can make firearms to skirt them. Do they even know what a barrel shroud is? lol
@@CMMG probably not, but somebody must of whispered in their ear cuz they included it in their list of banned items for rifles😢. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to respond and for making firearms that try to find a way around the system. We in the banned states attentively await the results of your ingenuity. Be blessed.
Explain to me what a barrel shroud is? Honestly they are supposedly illegal in my state but no one can explain to me what that is.
@@thelastminuteman7513 That's kind of what we are bantering about here. It's an ambiguous term that gun controllers use and can't define. In this case, they'll say that our handguard is a barrel shroud. They pretty much want them all to be like traditional rifle stocks with barrels bedded into them, and not be surrounded (shrouded).
@@thelastminuteman7513 piggybacking off CMMG, the logic ban states are using is that any hand guard that covers the top of the barrel allows the shooter to hold the rifle in a tactical way (such as a C clamp hold) or protects the shooter from being burnt while holding it when the barrel gets too hot during rapid fire, which to them rapid fire would only happen in a scenario of criminal intent, like a mass shooting. So, their logic is if you remove all the accessories that make rifles more stable (adjustable buttstock and barrel shroud/hand guard), easier to fire (pistol grip, muzzle break) and less detectable (flash hider, silencer), while also limiting magazine capacities, active shooters are left with rifles that would be less effective in the criminal act of a mass shooting, therefore making mass shootings less likely to occur. Not saying this logic tracks, just explaining how my state, Illinois, explained what a barrel shroud is and why it needed to be banned with the rest of the features.
Not for me but still liking it as it's a weapon design for the other side of the fence. Good stuff CMMG.
dust cover and forward assist! PLEASE lol
You gonna make this in the Banshee and Resolute models???
No. Those require the buffer tube to operate. The DISSENT is compact action that's all in the upper allowing for this type of stock to be used.
Love Cmmg but I think they are missing out on a ton of sales because of their dedicated defcan suppressor host muzzle break.
it's only on the pin and weld versions. Get the 16" barrels and you can put whatever muzzle device on them you'd like.
Is there a non threaded version for states that can't have muzzle devices?
Not yet, but we are looking into options for those locations.
They have non threaded on their website now btw. I was looking for the same
@CNNG are there any future plans of a .308 BR4 platform???? by the way the BR4 is 🔥
Who's CNNG, bruh?
Love it! Any chance there’s an extended bolt catch release for us lefties???
Any chance you guys are going to be offering anything like this in a 308?
If you know us at all, we'd say there's a high likelihood. 😉
@@CMMG any round about time frame when we’ll find out about that?
Just pre ordered my BR4 in 5.56.
What would you suggest as the best low mount optics for the BR4?
@@4foxsake571 That's really subjective, and dependent on use. A good LPVO in the 1-6ish range would be great for this. Depending on who makes that, low or medium rings may be needed for proper clearance of the ocular lens. Look for rings that will put the center of your scope at around 1-1.25" and you should be good. Those measurements are usually listed in the ring's specs.
@@4foxsake571 we cannot commit to any timeline, but let's just say we are hoping by end of year.
Noob question. Why does it seem the 870 furniture seems the go to over the 500/590 furniture.
Likely because Remington has a bit larger of a market share in the civilian world, so there is a bit more support for 870 accessories like stocks. Or our engineers could have just flipped a coin 😉
@@CMMG that makes sense.
The reason why I can’t buy a Sig Regulator in NY is because muzzle devices/silencers can be added.
Thank you for this.
Next, come up with modular bullpup style with quick interchangeable multi-caliber system, that could use AR accessories.
This is actually pretty cool.
umm why do I like this so much. this may have to be my first 6arc
I want this in the 6.5 Creedmoor
Can’t wait to get one in a 6arc
It’s a shame you have to use the term “Behind Enemy Lines” in regards to a state in our country. I love that rifle! I think I need it!😂
Any extended mGs ‼️
We are only shipping with 10rd. Since the lower accepts standard magazines, those are readily available in most places.
Are you and sig setting us up for a AWB lol?
or just providing people in current ban states with an option
will a brass goat brass catcher fit?
Guess that depends on how it's mounted. There are a lot of options. If it's rail mounted, the ejection port on this and other DISSENT uppers would be a bit lower than traditional ejection ports in correlation to the rail height (but not by a ton).
308 please!!
308 BR4? 6.5CM BR4? 7PRC? 300WM?
308 and 6.5 cm don't fit in an AR sized magwell. They'll need a larger magwell for the larger action. Soon.
@@CMMG Well, of course. AR10? The ONLY difference is size of barrel diameter, receiver, bolt, and mag well. I’m glad it is in the works. I don’t recall in my question anything said about an AR15 used as a .308 or 6.5cm. I simply asked for those in a BR4 configuration with the BR4 stock to get around state restrictions as you did with the 5.56. There was no need to “educate me” about AR caliber because your answer was confusing since you didn’t say AR15’s, you simply said AR’s and there ARE AR’s in 308! = AR10’s. 😄
Thank you for reassuring us that there are larger (longer) calibers in the works.
@@garyomalley4521 Sorry. It was just a confusion or clarification on the naming. The "4" in the Br4 designates AR magwells (like our Mk4). We just like having as much info out there as possible for resources for everyone that may be reading the comments. Didn't intend for there to be a negative tone to that.
See.... this is why it's hard to save money.
Not Wa legal. Big sad. 😢
Keep up the good work! 🎉
Unfortunately WA is one of the three it isn't. We'll keep trying!
Why is it not legal
@@NOLES-kl4ft ask the geniuses that pass these restrictive laws. It's really hard to keep up with their ignorance at times. Wish we didn't have to.
@RenoMay, I’d like to see a review!
Need one without a thread barrel
I love it and I want one anyway,
Price? $1400?
I think it's $1800 which is pretty typical for CMMG rifles. They seem to be worth the money. A lot better then Sigs $3k Spear "ranch" rifle.
Still hoping for a Washington friendly variant…
We're still hoping for Washington to be 2A friendly. They're making things tough! We'll continue working on stuff though.
@@CMMG hope to see it soon! BR4 is top of my list.
Shots fired at SIG, Regulator
Not really. Fightlites scr was out long before regulator.
CMMG Regulator
Like to have one in 400 Legend…
The conventional AR is engineered for everyone
👍
Pls make one in 308
We did. It's in the Br3 line
It reminds me of you don’t have enough gun stock and you’ll just slap shit on it
everything about this is cool except the price. when you can get ar-15s for sub 800. adding an extra 1,000 to it is a little hard to swallow for the average joe. But i suppose thats the price you pay for living in a ban state.
IMHO: I REALLY WISH THAT YOU WOULD'VE FILMED THIS, IN SUNLIGHT!! (NOT NECESSARILY FULL, BRIGHT SUNLIGHT, PERHAPS JUST FILM ON A CLOUDY DAY... BUT, FILMING THIS IN THE SHADE, WITH THE BRIGHT BACKGROUND "SUCKS"... IT MAKES IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE PRODUCT DETAILS!!!!! ...C'MON MAN!!!! REDO THIS VIDEO!!!
2024 is the year of the ranch rifle. Looks cool even though I am not in a restricted state.
Ha! You can almost buy 2 of these for the price of one Sig MCX Regulator
so sig regulator rifle but CMMG.
So, we're going to make a Restricted State friendly AR rifle but spend so much time on the video showing its suppressor compatibility........🤔
Almost 9 minute video and maybe 5 seconds talking about suppressor attachment. Did we watch the same video?
A skeleton type fixed non pistol grip aluminum or metal stock would make this even better then it already is. This will be the only way I can own a CMMG. 👍
This is really cool! Tbh im getting BAR vibes from this gun.
The butt design is kinda wonkie,I get it tho. If ya can't beat em, out craft them.
I LOVE IT! You do know this would still be illegal in NY state, right? The "SAFE"(my ass) act states that you can have only two scary features on you rifle, and it being an auto-loader is the first one. So, most people choose having a detachable magazine as the second one, and those who want a 14.5 with a permanent brake/flash have to use lowers that make the magazine, well, harder to detach. If you want this to be NY legal, you want to have a 16in version without anything at the front(thread protectors must be non-removable, usually drilled, pinned and spot welded, so it's way easier for most to just have a bare crown at the front). I LOVE that you guys are thinking about us commie-state residents though.
Yeah, unfortunately NY is one of the 3 outliers still for this to be legal in. We are still looking at more options to get in there though. Keep up the fight!
Why? Is this all because of Yellowstone? I just don’t understand.
Fix the stock, it’s ugly and doesn’t fit. Maybe color match?
6:20 - I'm willing to overlook the obesity and the fact that this is an obvious copy of Sig's Regulator (because I hate Sig) and the FightLite (which was the OG), but I'm not willing to overlook the misuse of the phrase "rack it."
WTF. "We've been working on this for many years." Yeah, if by "many years" you mean "since Sig released their monstrosity within the last 12 months", then sure.
That stock doesn’t look good on that ar sorry it don’t
It doesn't look good without a standard capacity (30rd) mag either but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.
Damn commie guns !!
❤❤SORRY ,YOU BEEN WORKING ON IT FOR HOW LONG ???? YEARS ,YEARS AND MONTHS ???? so now that SIG already released there rancher at ,,i think the 2024 shot show ,,you now suddenly jump on the exact same type of system ,,except all you did was took any of your rifles that already have been on the market for ages ,,removed the 1913 rail ,pick rail or folding stock and mounted a non folding solid rancher style stock and wow it took you years or months or about a shift i think to realise ,,wow SIG IS SELLING HEAPS OF THE RANCHERS IN SHITZVILLE CALI !WE WANT IN ,,AND WHAM BAMB THANKYOU SIG FOR A GREAT IDEA WE DID NOT THINK OF OURSELFS ,,,,WHY LIE ABOUT IT ????
It's perfectly fine to publicly admit that you are totally ignorant of the amount of time it takes to bring a product like this to the market.
If I were a betting man I would say Sig copied it from CMMG!!! Just ask Kevin Brittingham. My grandpa always said "You can't fix stupid" ......STUPID!!!
So SIG invented the Cali compliant MSR??? You ignant son. That lower / FCG probably took years to develop / test. You can’t just shit out a copy. There are these things called patents. Go back into a cave, learn more, then come back out again and you can rejoin modern society.
I think we found the Sig Fanboi.
This is stupid.
How? It gives people in certain states the ability to buy the rifle, and in most cases they're able to still change it to the original design if it's necessary, laws change, or they move to another state.
Why it's so expensive? $1.900.00 in California. At least $1,300.00 only. If the Mini -14 uses AR15 mags nobody will buy that because of the price.
Nice sig lol
Nice!
