Awesome idea. I was actually doing this myself the other day (not a 1 hour build, but a modular engine race car) and just saw this. I swear i havn't played this game properly yet. Ive just made various modular engines and a few cars and speed boats
I really like the 1 hour builds. You are pretty amazing at getting so much done in such a short amount of time. I think you need 1 hr build and 15 minutes for tuning. Just to let you at least dial it in at the end.

Something I would really want to see in modular engines is a muffler. The engines aren't that loud but sometimes you just can't stand listening to those things.
There are headphones in the game that mutes it slightly

i would've just taken 20 / 30 minutes building the outside and building the engine then start with logic in the last few minutes

When he shifted the seat to left I realized this car was going to be meant to drive on the right side of the road.
Good video, but how do you change to experimental mode?
Open up steam, go to the stormworks game, click on the gear looking thing (settings) under the image, go to the beta’s tab, click on the little arrow next to ‘None - Opt out all beta’s’, then select the public testing branch. After doing that your game should go ahead and update, once its done updating just start up the game and done! your in experimental.
Ps: you cannot upload creations to the steam workshop in experimental
If u do make it a series could u post the 1 hour version and then the fixed version on the workshop also?

@Kyan Joosten what do you mean, it cannot be anything else, crankshaft doesnt matter, its a "flat" engine using pistons so it must be boxer, unleas you consider that a rotory engine? (its a joke on your knowlege about engines, you cant even name what that engine could be)

@Kyan Joosten crankshaft doesn't matter for the 4 most simple and used engine types (Inline, V60°*, V90°, and Boxer), crankshaft determines the subtype of the engine, and in this case it desn't matter. What matters is the position of the cylinders around the crankshaft, 0° apart being Inline, 60° apart being in the V60°, 90° apart being V90° and 180° apart falling into the boxer category.
*that engine type is not possible in this game.
@@iXenox flat engines use pistons, I don't know what you're on. Rotary engines use pistons, I don't know what you're on.
