When the update first rolled out I tried making my own steam powered plane with my primitive knowledge, and of course it didn't work. Seeing you make this brought tears to my eyes. This is the single most impressive thing I've ever seen in stormworks. Great job man!
i have no idea if valves do anything, but those pumps are limiting the flow, the presure from the boiler is what is powering pistons/turbines from what i understand

This plane inspired me to make my own steam powered plane, using a similar steam setup and the same “thruster” setup as you. It worked, and I was able to keep sustained thrust by using the boiler to produce a certain amount of steam pressure, then cutoff the production and just loop the already produced steam.

Also I saw another video, if your looking for a roblox game like storm works, try Plane Crazy. It has some of tho basics of making stuff like this but obviously not as crazy as this game. The creator is making a new game though.
What do those pistons do, make vehicles have more rpm? I don't understand steam neither nuclear tbh, never tried understanding but I think nuclear is like infinite energy..

If you're having trouble with boiler explosions you can use on/off valves to control the amount of coolant from the firebox entering the boiler.
Or use variable valves

I found, that for stabilizing boiler pressure, you can cut the heating fluid at like 105-125degrees so pressure dosent shoot up

If you dont allow your boiler to exceed 110 degrees, condenser cooling becomes extremely easy. CONTROL THE TEMP OF THE STEAM!!!!!
