Is there a way to make "mini-columns" within 1 column? Like... I don't want to split 3 items in column A into A,B,C I want to keep all items within column A and split Column A into 3 "mini-columns"

George, thanks for the video. Question - how do you automatically split TWO rows of data (from inside one cell) into different columns? What's the custom setting you need to apply in the Separator input? Thanks!
You can use a split formula to accomplish this! Let's assume your data is in cell A2, then your formula would look like this: =split(A2,char(10)) The "char(10)" part is what matches to distinguishing multiple rows of data in a single cell.
Thank you very much. A 1 minute video is still helping 4 yrs later.
I am so happy you didn't take 5 minutes just braging about who you are, what you do, history of excel...that alone made me subscribe to you ;)

Thak u very much ♥️
What about turning it into rows instead of columns so it goes down?
Use the "transpose" feature.
god bless you
Good!
Let's say I have a list of phone numbers and I want to break them down by 500 a piece. How would I do that?
