wireless CarPlay is so nice. Mercedes-Benz have finally started to included it in cars now. It worked great for me in the EQE and I think It's also in the new C class. Glad they have finally listened!
No this works with iPhone. The box runs it's own version of Android separate from your phone. You only have to connect your phone to share your internet connection so it works with iPhone and Android. I'm using an iPhone with mine 👍

Hey, it will only work if your car as optional apple car play/android auto. If you plug your phone in and car play/audroid auto does not pop up this box won’t work I’m afraid. If it does though that means you can use the box to extend the features.

Hey, Yep this should all work as long as the car has working Apple CarPlay and android auto. Is it the new GLC with the large tablet touch screen? I haven’t tested it on this yet but I’ve heard it works great on the big screen.
Hey, this will work but only If you have the factory CarPlay/android auto option. There’s an easy way to test If you have it just plug your phone into the port by the cupholders and If android auto/CarPlay pops up on the screen you have it and the digidash will work with your car.

Hi Kola, There's nothing to worry about If you lease or warranty. This little box is no different than when you plug your phone into the car. It simply uses the cars photo interface and the box runs independently. It doesn't have to install anything on your car etc. So no worry for warranty etc at all. Hope this all helps :)
Hey, I’d activate car play just to check it all works ok before getting a digidash just in case. If CarPlay works with your phone you know the digidash will work too. 👍

If you have Apple CarPlay working in the car this should work since it uses CarPlay/Android to work. I only recommend it if you have a touch screen though in the car.

Great question! It should display on the hyper screen the same way regular car play would. I hear it works well on the newer big screens like the new c class etc
It's a shame that it's not taking advantage to the full screen of the infotainment display. I hope Mercedes releases an update or something that makes Apple CarPlay support the resolution.
im sure that can be coded in somehow if someone takes the time to figure it out like bmw's cuz its the same on bmw's infotainment it crops out the sides until u get it coded in to go completely full screen
It’s strange because I’ve defo seen some MBUX’s with full screen CarPlay. When I asked at my local MB garage. The tech guys didn’t know what I was going on about.
The in built browser is great but the problem is in the uk at least we have to sign up to a very expensive data plan through the car to use it. We can’t tether from our phones. That’s how it is if you have MBUX.

I'm guessing it was not included in the factory spec although you'd think it would if it's a premium plus. It might be worth checking to see If it's possible to add as a digital upgrade via Mercedes-Me although knowing Mercedes It might cost a bit of money.

Hey, I’m using an iPhone in this video. But its only to share the internet to the digidash. The digidash is a box that runs its own version of android (like having a second phone) When you connect it to carplay it runs directly of the box and carplay allows it to come up on the car screen.
@@lonelyboysole yep! What I’ve been doing is keeping Bluetooth connected to mbux then I use my phone etc through mbux since it works great, I just use the digidash for my media etc. You can easily get back to the Mercedes menu by pressing the home key in the top right.
Hey, I haven’t tested these since I like to use the integrated sat nav in MBUX but I’d imagine Google maps etc will all work. You can use it for wireless CarPlay etc.
Hi could you shed some light on this? When my digi dash boots on it automatically boots up android auto but turns wifi connection off when doing so. If I manually turn wifi back on and go back into android auto it turns wifi back off again. Can you not have wifi on when android auto is running? If so is there any way of changing it?

Yep. It will only work if the car already has working CarPlay. It runs off the CarPlay ports.

No :( I don’t think any Mercedes have wireless car play yet, only BMW seem to have it! No idea why as it’s such a better experience wireless.

Good question. It mimics CarPlay so in theory if CarPlay works on those screens it should but I’m not 100% sure.

Yep you can run the CarPlay app through the digidash box then connect wirelessly and it works as normal CarPlay but wireless :)

Unfortunately not in the CLA and A class. The one in the front is a special USB C port for car play.

Hey, unfortunately android auto is required for this box to work. It uses the cars existing android auto to connect up and enhance it.

You need to have active CarPlay for this to work. When connected it uses CarPlay to load up so it won’t work without I’m afraid.
