In the first movie, when Miles and Peter (Pine) spider-sense each other, Miles colour pallette changes from purple/green (prowler) to red/blue (spider-man), the details in these movies are incredible.
fun fact: Miguel doesn't have a Spidey sense. He gets his powers from the little nanobots he injected himself with, not a spider bite. he does, however, have a paralyzing venom in his bite, which is where the vampire comparison comes from.
To add onto this, Miguel also has more attributes of a spider than human since his origin story was his dna was spliced with a spiders. Giving him fangs and claws like an actual spider! Great job explaining his spider senses too!
@@fairkingemil4815 Earth-928B Miguel also differs from the comics version in that he doesn't use organic webbing from his wrists. Instead, his webs look more like they're made of futuristic hard-light, since they always form straight lines.
The final scene with Miles face to face with his dark counterpart made me realize that the Spot's actions caused them to switch destinies-- 1610 Miles was supposed to be the Prowler but became Spider Man, and 42 Miles was supposed to be Spider Man but became the Prowler
Interesting little Easter Egg... Earth 42 Miles was supposed to be Spiderman. If you watch closely when Spot gives his origin story, when you see the spider being sucked in you can see Miles sitting there with his braids... So Spot took the spider just before it got to Miles to bite him.
It's true about the LEGO scene. He was 14. Also, yes, Miguel was referring to No Way Home. The MCU was originally designated Earth-199999 until Dr. Strange in the M.o.M. retconned it to be Earth-616 (which is confusing as that is the comic's main continuity designation).
@@vijayanand6650 I think a way of "Fixing" this Mistake is in another Doctor Strange movie they say something like "actually your Universe is Earth-199999, our system got it wrong and said Earth-616" or something like that idk. Because the way it is now IT'S FREAKING CONFUSING
I feel so bad for Earth 42 Miles because when Miles brought up his dad, he immediately corrected him, and he had such a dead look in his eyes when hey put his fist next to Miles' head. Here's the time set: 1:03:00 through 1:03:14
(At 37:40) Donald Glover from the MCU makes a cameo. You want to know the sad part is? Before Aaron Davis, Hobart "Hobie" Brown was The 1st The Prowler in Earth-616. But then he started trying to turn his life around after he confronted Spider-Man. Currently going by "The Hornet" THIS Hobie Brown… is from Earth-138. Also Aaron Davis does not exist in Earth-616. He came from the Ultimate Universe, as well as his nephew. I *think* that's about the sum of it, as far as I know?
(At 43:34) That was the Uncle Ben's death, that was to cause "motivation" for his "great responsibility," afterwards. This is the police captain's death. This is a _different_ motivation.
(At 32:03) This Spider-Man called Spider-Punk (Spider-Man from the UK) I ACTUALLY starting to like him, despite his lack screen time, cause of his "rebellionist" nature and how he spits facts. But to me, I think he's got a lot more experienced than he's letting on.
I like how Miguel is the only Spider-Man who _isn't_ funny, but he _becomes_ funny by way of being around the other goofball Spideys. He's the serious leader of a league filled with class clowns.
17:45 He’s one of their best because he’s the same LEGO Spider-Man from all the LEGO Marvel video games, who has already helped defeat a version of both Galactus and Kang.
(At 39:33) This is why I meant by spitting facts. He's testing Miles if he's interested in joining _this_ cause, well also trying to talk him out of it, knowing the pressures of joining he's not ready for. Basically, he's acting like an older brother… Miles never had to set him straight, like his dad's _failing_ to do (Don't get the wrong idea. Jefferson Davis is trying to help his son, he's just going about the wrong way with him and his wife being a little overprotective for his only son AFTER what happened to his brother). So the short version, he's warning Miles not to join, because 95% of them are against him and he's REALLY biting off more than he can chew.
I need miles in the MCU immediately so we can have Kamala and miles co narrate the opening of a young avengers movie in the same style they did in their solo projects
(At 6:23) despite Renaissance vulture being bad, I actually like his character especially on _this_ part his POV on Spider-Gwen's (or Ghost-Spider, since we're getting lazy) New York City: Renaissance Vulture: Che meravigliosa bellezza (Italian translation: "What a wonderful beauty")
Many saw the Lizard. Nobody saw him turn back into Peter Parker. If Gwen couldn’t prove somehow Peter was the Lizard, she would be found guilty of murder.
The multiverse scares me a little. Imagine a universe where your alternate version has a shitty life. He comes to your universe and tries to kill you and take your place. Just because you are a good person doesn't mean that your alternate selves would also be good.😢
love how much the movie and everything really connects with the two of you! as someone who loves the movie dearly, it's so nice seeing people have the same (and more!) enthusiasm for this sort of thing, you guys are awesome!! the platform needs more nerdy / passionate people like the two of you haha!
I love this movie it’s really awesome and also seeing my girl mayday Parker spidergirl the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane even as a baby in this movie made me so happy because she’s technically my favorite marvel character growing up of all time in my opinion.
Of course, Miguel cannot remain the villain through the third movie. Most expect he will have a character arc, and realize he is doing his job too seriously. That would be the obvious (and easiest) route. But Miguel mentioned he once replaced another Miguel. So I am hoping there is a good Miguel sitting in a laser cage someplace, who gets free and stops this Miguel. That would be much more gratifying.
(At 5:22) Spider-Man 2099 DOESN'T have a Spider-Sense, His webs are organic, and his powers are not radiation based unlike the other Web Slingers (one of Spider-Man's nicknames).
(At 6:12) Jessica Drew otherwise known as Spider-Woman. The webs are coming from our fingertips. The pregnancy doesn't surprise me, since it happened in the comics. But the one thing I'm questioning about is, why did they make her black? She's was originally Caucasian. And she does give birth is her child's name going to be "Gerry" with a "G"?
There's so many awesome things about this movie, but the tiny detail I love is that Gwen's theme's main riff is literally just a sped up version of the OG Spiderman theme
Bro this movie practically became my entire month of June last year. Always thought about it, watched it 5 times in theaters. Watched a bunch of reactions on TH-cam for it. I wonder if the next movie is gonna put me in that same spiral.
Now that you guys have watched Across The Spider-Verse, there are some other animated films released last year that you need to react to: Elemental, Trolls Band Together, and Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken to name a few.
Every Spider man has to lose Uncle and Father . Some lost friend instead or lost friend too . Remember Peter B Parker has a baby … :( i think next part he is going to die . To Miles he is also a father so it makes sense that Miles will save his father but could not save Peter B and the daughter lost his Father just like every other Spiderman . This is my theory lol . Congrats again to you both
Okay here me out, what if Miles was supposed to be Spider-Man in 42, so that’s why his dad died, and also means the other Miles’s dad doesn’t have to. The only problem I have with that is that I don’t think the writers would go that route because it isn’t really a solution to everyone’s problem, only Miles’s.
