One of my best deals or finds at a local store was actually at a local Walmart. I grabbed 3 Buck 110 anniversary editions on clearance for $11.88. It was a great deal!
I legit used that $7 sling for almost a whole year, and LOVED it! My kid uses it now when we do short hikes. More a rummage than an organized bag, but there's a ton of space and it feels better than some $100 slings I've used!
My best find was the Centerdrive at Walmart. They had them locked in the case and i noticed the price for the spot they were in was $20.74. So I was able to get for that price after the store manager okayed it. I carry & use it everyday.
The most surprising find for me was actually at Walmart. It was the Swiss Tech 7" Ball Bearing Assisted Flipper Knife with the Green Canvas Micarta Handle. It was $29.97 and the action on it top notch. The green Micarta looks great, and it’s super light in the hand. Yeah, it’s Aus-8, but it’s $30! Love the channel, man!
I was literally just getting ready to say this. The Swisstech imo is a way better buy than the Buck. Personally went and looked at one and had to purchase it right then and there. Great buy for the price!!
My best find was a Gerber Dime, found it at a walmart about 6 years ago, not sure how much it cost me now but I've kept this thing since. I just know it didn't cost much cause I've always been a penny pincher. Still going strong. Not the most impressive multi-tool but I've used it almost every day, the little box cutter being a life saver.
Best find at a store was a cheap coast edc light that actually held up and I wasn’t afraid to lose because of how cheap it was. 😂 thank you for all the value you give to this community. 🎉 “Carry on”
One of my best finds happened to be at Walmart. Every Walmart has a clearance aisle, and I usually pass by just to see what I can see. WELL, last Saturday, I was passing through and found a Gerber Flatiron on the shelf for $25! I was excited by the find but wait, there's more! Two shelves down, I find a Buck 110 slim for $22! Solid scores on the clearance aile!
ALWAYS check the clearance aisle. My wife always complained cause I had to go look, until the one time I found an entire case of her favorite chocolate bars marked WAY down.
Hands down my best edc find is one a lot of people would likely not choose. It's my Gerber Armbar Drive. I manage a retail store so I wear dress clothes all day. That being said, I still have to open boxes and other packages on a daily basis as well as fix small things around the store. With dress slacks, edc can get tough because it can make you look a bit unprofessional if your pockets are drooping. The Armbar Drive has the tools I need on a daily basis. I absolutely love it and bought it 3 years ago on a father's day sale at Scheels.
“George” is Walmart’s in house fashion brand. Not sure how Walmart operates in the USA in terms of clothing and accessories but in the UK Walmart is called Asda and George is the in house fashion brand, thus everything from adult socks, underwear, T-shirts through to kids everyday wear. Hope that helps. The quality can be good, depending on what you’re looking for but it generally tends to be budget conscious clothing.
My local Walmart had the same flash light you have in this video. It's been a solid little light for my EDC ! To be honest it's still going strong after 6months in my rotation. Would love to see more of these types of videos
I found a victorinox classic sd at a gift shop that sold random Knick knack things in Cloudcroft New Mexico.Originally I thought it was something I’d just throw in a drawer when I got home. But it’s ended up being a part of my edc since. I’ve used it for almost everything from changing batteries in kids toys to cutting threads off of my shirt. Definitely a great find.
The best finds I've had at a local store was Schrade machete in one of the bargain bins at Tractor Supply. It cost under $10 - and is still working like a champ!
My all-time best find was in 2000 at a K-mart that was closing to become a Walmart. I found a Leatherman wave (original version) for $20. I managed to convince my dad to buy it for me. Best piece of kit a 16 year old could hope for at the time.
Found a CRKT Lucas Burnley Obake at my local Walmart. Slapped a button loop on the sheath and have been wearing it on my belt everyday for the past 6 years. Pretty sure it was in the $40 range. Best Walmart purchase ever.
I was at Canadian Tire and noticed they had a whole row of flashlights. Stopped to look because I recently saw one of your videos about flashlights, and saw one that looked pretty good. It's by Maximum, up to 1,000 lumens. I think it was $55 Canadian? It's got a strobe, and you can twist the head to move from a beam to a wide angle light. Only issues is the clip doesnt face the right way for a hat, and it starts off bright like the one in this video. But, I prefer it starting bright for self defence, which is why I bought it. It's a pretty good light, but I've never had one before so I dont know if its actually good or not. It feels hefty and substantial despite being really thin. It's come in handy a few times since getting it though, so thanks for pointing out lights for edc!
I like to carry a pocket notebook with me. If you go to hobby lobby, every other week they have the journals/sketchbooks 40-50% off. They have a 3- pack of pocket sketchbooks that are Moleskine-esque that you can get for like $3. Great find that won’t break the bank. Love the vids!
This is the 1st video on your channel that I have seen. About 5 years ago I bought a casio Tough Solar watch. I've worn it at least 5 days a week since then. Keeps time and never needs a battery
For a budget wallet, one can easily find a nylon product or, as I prefer, head to the candy section and get an Altoid tin. Another super-low cost option is a binder clip. They came in various widths and the prongs fold over to further secure what is held.
I've carried that coast flashlight after buying one years ago at Walmart, I love those lights. I put the carry clip at the base of the head so it doesn't move. Super dependable, useful and carries very well.
Best EDC find was an $8 (CAD) Picquic “The Pic” driver at my local Canadian Tire. Slim driver containing 3 impact bits you can slip in a 5th pocket. Highly recommend to anyone. Bought for my 2 older kids to keep in their school bag
I've picked up a few Walmart items, that I carry everyday, without the intention of buying EDC items. When my old wallet wore out, I bought a temporary nylon one at Walmart. I don't know the brand, but I've carried if for about 3 or 4 years. Still going strong. I impulse bought a Buck 293 inertia several years ago for $35 or $40. It's now my #1. Same thing about my $100 G-Shock GW-M5610 solar digital watch. Even though I tend to prefer analog watches, I really like the toughness of the G-Shock, so I have worn it the most for the psst couple of years. When the full size Leatherman started bugging me, I got a $25 Gerber Dime, either at Walmart or Academy. It's always with me,, but on my keychain, where I use the pliers, several times a day. Finally, after misplacing my utility knife, I bought an $8 Sheffield flip open, lightweight, plastic handle, full size double bladed knife at Ace Hardware, maybe 5 years ago. I've since found my Sidewinder Edge, but guess what??
The best find in a while is in the camping section of Walmart. It's a little day bag cover in molle strap for like $12 bucks. It makes the perfect junk bag to keep in the truck with some first aids, notebooks, etc. Everything I need to walk properties for quotes. Sadly, I'll probably not see the live stream, but I'm easily found on Google search via my name. I'm just down the road in York County too.
I’ve been using an ozark trail bag similar to that (but with 3 pockets) for years when I walk my dog. Holds a multi tool, poo bags, keys, and Sabre red spray.
The EDC find that has probably been the most impactful in my carry was finding TŪL pens at Office Depot. Saw them, liked the way even they looked and bought some, and have carried one ever since. Even upgraded to their full metal version!
Got the brass looking one. Had it on me errday for a year + and the patina is in full effect and it is gorgeous. It is also the most smoothest loveliest enjoyable pen to write with
Best buy I had picked up at Walmart was is that Ozark Trail Axis lock knife they offered at Christmas time, six bucks! A few minor adjustments and some oil, it flips open and closes one-handed, it's pretty snappy. I was able to get it razor sharp too. And again six bucks!
My best edc find was my Leatherman Micra at the local Ace Hardware. The Ace use to suck but came under new ownership. Shocked me at everything they did have.
Leather Charge + is the greatest find. I wasn't even in the market for a multitool but I was contemplating the charge + or a cheaper stainless leatherman option at my local Sportsmans warehouse (the poor man's bass pro). The charge has been on my hip for at least a year and a half. Workin on a golf course you never know what you'll need to conquer the day. Any leatherman can make life easier but the charge+ is light-weight and has everything I could ask for.
One of the best EDC tools I have found are the Bic lighters. They can still be used when the run out of fluid. I am not a smoker so some people think it is odd that I carry a light. I just want to be ready incase I need to start a fire to survive.
Buck 263 Hiline was a dark horse that worked its way into my EDC. I carry a 110 religiously. When I wanna be a classy fella and forgo the belt carry I carry the Hiline.
Thanks for the video. Whenever I hit Walmart I always run thru the clearance sections to find outdoor gear on the cheap. A few visits ago I found a Camillus 2.5” titanium flipper that I’ve been very happy with. Best part was the price of only $15.
Living in Maine made it easy to get a LL Bean edition of a classic opinel knife. The handle is made out of maple reclaimed from Moosehead Lake. I use it for my fancy carry knife.
I think the best EDC find for me, was my Benchmade Mini Crooked River. I found it at a local outdoor shop in Portland, OR. It was with their display knife and was discounted because it obviously wasn’t in “out of the box” condition. I went on to customize my Mini Crooked River with with copper scales and backspacer from Flytanium. It has become one of my most frequently used knives over the past few years and I love it!!
That knife looks just like the Kershaw parlay. I have one. I keep it in my work lunchbox and use it for cheese, steak, whatever I need to cut up that day. It’s awesome.
I've been using that same HART utility knife for the past year and it's held up well, only had to change the blade once and cuts cardboard like a charm.
I have had multiple great EDC finds at REI. As a member I shop the re/supply pretty often. I have found a Benchmade Mini Grip in 20CV for $80. My edc backpack also came from the re/supply and is a Mystery Ranch Rip Ruck that I got for $75.
I’ve picked up 2 bags in the past from Walmart that I truly believe give you a huge bang for your Buck! Both made by Fieldline Pro! I picked up a sling bag shoot range bag, and a shooters bag pistol case. Each for under $40, and each lasted me a few years till I upgraded to 5.11 and other more expensive brands! Truly a good product that won’t break the bank! But you gotta look for them a bit. Usually tucked away in the hunting section/ gun maintenance section.
I actually found a gerber two pack box cutter set. A tiny box cutter in black and a liner lock style bulky box cutter that package did come with 5 extra blades. I also found the Gerber pledge for $22 and it was a gift set, the pledge and a mini paraframe.
from my local walmart I had one of those coast flashlights and I edc'd that for a good chunk of 4 years at my old job at a machine shop. That thing was perfect for what I needed and when I added a buck bantam I was in the perfect edc until I could afford the good stuff.
Mannnn for Walmart, the new Swisstech stuff is awesome. The $50 multi tool and both $29 flippers are incredible. Been waiting two weeks for my Walmarts to get them and finally found them the other day.
I bought an Ozark trail, mini flashlight for my parents house, because I never want to leave my surefire there. They love batteries, they have a whole drawer full. It’s perfect for them!
These are my personal favorite kinds of videos you do! I love these videos of you shopping at certain stores or online to see what's the best bang for your buck. Love your content, thanks for sharing.
Best deal I've found locally was probably a gold framed picture of uncle Ricky riding a stegasaurus at goodwill for $1.50! Not really....lol but in all honesty I would say mini G2 pens at Walmart, 4 pack for $4! I love the G2s and finding the minis was a great day!
I love my buck 110 lightweight it's very light and since it has a backlog it's very durable the 420 high carbon steel has a very good heat treat and the edge lasts forever I've probably sharpened it like 3 times bought it a year ago and never been more happy the only downside is it doesn't have a pocket clip but that's fine I just carry on the belt with the pouch love the videos keep up the good work and carry on
One of the coolest finds was the benchmade full immunity right after blade show at a local outdoor store called the Neuse Sport Shop. One of best selections when you’re on your way to Atlantic Beach
so I have 2 good finds that I carry daily, one local hardware store was having a "going out of business'" sale I got a set of mini name brand vise grips for $5, another local hardware store. on the Monday after black Friday, I got a Gerber tri tip for $20. I'm a high school maintenance guy and I use it a hundred times a day, that front edge is great for scraping gum or stickers. holds a decent cutting edge when breaking down lots of boxes, I use it to pry stuff often and I've even used it as a hammer a few times. and the shape of the handle lets me hold it with just my ring and pinky fingers if I need to manipulate something with my other fingers, or pinch the flat of the blade between my thumb and pointer. overall a very underrated pocket fixed blade.
I don't have much EDC gear from Walmart or such, but the Gerber Suspension I've had for years came from Walmart and it's served me pretty well but it lives next to my bed now since I keep a SOG Powerlock in my bag now. I will say though that probably my favorite piece of gear I got from Bass Pro, that I use pretty much every day for the last several years, is my backpack. It's been through a lot and still keeps truckin'.
My best find that i still use today is actucally the bag that came out before the green one. its a black ozark trails bag thats still going strong. that one had some organization pouches on both sides. been using that one for about 4 years now
My wife picked up the Leather man free p2 at bass Pro for Valentine's day. I have carried and used that so much. I love Swiss army knives but the one hand open and pocket clip are so nice on the free p2.
My best find was when I was on vacation in Florida and we went to a mall to get some souvenirs. While I was there a watch store was having a huge clearance sale on all of their products, I picked up like 4 watches. My favorite is a Fossil, automatic diving watch that I got for like $35.
My best find sofar was a prybrid in the return sale section at Canadian Tire. Down from 30 to 9.99. And its with me everyday now for a year. Can't miss it!
One of my recent finds is getting a small chalk bag from sportsman warehouse that I added some velcro to. I've attached it to the inside of my bum bag and it now acts like a dump pouch for little bits of trash that I get.
Side note. I did score a deal on the buck 110 and bought a couple thumb studs on amazon. Put 1 on the buck and its 10x better because you can open 1 handed
I got my Leatherman Wave + at Walmart for $19.97, it wasn't on display or even showing up for them store, but It was on PICK UP in 1 hour website... I bought and really was there when I went to pick it up!
i found at least 5 leatherman on clearance at walmart over the years. 2 waves, Rev, Supertool 300, and a wingman. I also got my Gerber Suspension & Gerber M400 multitool. All for Maybe $20 or less with most being under $10.
Home Depot had a Klein tools mini ratchet and flip socket set. The mini ratchet had a large finger hole to get torque in hard to reach places and when you combine it with the socket driver that has magnetic sockets that slip on and off the driver, it makes for a really nice setup in a small package. I got both for about $30 total.
When I first got into EDC a year ago I picked up an Ozark Trail bearing assisted flipper for like 6 bucks. It wasn’t fancy but it was a great knife for what it was. It served me well and got me into EDC!
My best find was at my local windshield repair shop. The had this display case that had a leatherman PST heritage for 15 bucks. I didn't hesitate at all to grab it.
As I purchase most gear on line as brick and mortar stores don't quite scratch my itch. However I went to a space age which is a gas station/ truck stop and purchased this really awesome multicam sling bag 35 bucks used it for months, sadly someone took it from me as long as some gear. And when I bought a new bag it was on the line shopped
It's always fun seeing what knives Walmart carries from time to time I always go to the knife section in any Walmart i visit found a Gerber flatiron D2 for 35$
Went into a small furniture shop in my city and the owner is also a knife guy and he had one room just full of knives as a side business. Managed to find a Spyderco Byrd Robin 2 for a great price...been looking for one to try and swap it into my Swiss Army Hiker!
I went to bass pro and they had this beginner edc set. Came with an AAA flashlight, small front flipper, and a small waterproof box. For only $12 at that. I’ve been using the combo at work for about a year now.
My most used and best deal is the Leatherman Style with the scissors. Found it at the outlet store in Portland for $7 because it was an engraved overstock item.
Most of my finds were online and satisfactory. I do have a bad one, and it's from Walmart. An Energizer flashlight; it's dim , light's mushy and the battery can't be swapped. And now it's flickering. Four dollars more and I could've had a Wuben c3.
I was traveling for work and wanted to buy a knife for take out food since I got tired of trying to cut food with a plastic knife, and found a gerber flat iron with blue micarta scales on sale at Cabelas. And to this day that is the knife that I throw in my camping stuff to use for my food.
The best edc thing I’ve ever gotten was a leatherman leap which they don’t make anymore, it is very light weight and fits in the pocket with no problem and has withstood some hard abuse from 2016-present
So far, my best find has been at my local ACE Hardware, I found a Rite in the Rain Notebook and pens. Paid 5.88 for my notebook and I love carrying it everyday!
My best local EDC find was the U-Pouch by BlaqPaks. They are a local bag maker here in Portland, OR. The U-Pouch is the perfect size for carrying what I need with just a bit of organization in a compact size. I wear it as a hip pouch, but it can totally work as a sling too.
Well im 45...and ive had it 20yrs but it still serves me to this day...buck crosslock...i think i found on sale or clearance for 17 bucks...i still carry it to this day. I keep it on haversack. I still carry a german eye in my pocket. But many times when wearing shorts or sweatpants i forget my knife. So i have the opd standby to keep me from feeling naked when im out and about.
Best local edc find has to be a pen with a hidden knife in the back if you take of the cover. The blade is about 2 inches (5cm) so a great option if you want to be discreet
A year ago or so I found a kershaw blur at my local Walmart and honestly it’s been one of my absolute favorite knives for edc. I ended up buying the s30v version of it because I liked it so much. At one point I took out the spring to have a non assisted version of it and it legitimately felt better than it did before even though I thought it was perfect beforehand. My only complaint is the finish durability but that’s kinda whatever
Best thing I found was at an academy store when I was on the road and forgot my knife. But the Buck Trunk knife, $30 and it’s been a regular in the rotation. It’s kinda smaller version of the buck in this video.
At Walmart I bought the $7 Energizer LED Keychain Flashlight, Mini Pocket Flashlight, Water Resistant LED Light. I was surprised by it and even bought one for my Dad and he keeps his in the car. I didn't buy it for EDC but turned into one!
One of my best finds was a Bass Pro Shop. I found some gloves that were actually liners for fishing mitts. But they were the warmest gloves I ever had and I only paid about $10. It sucks that they were stolen from my car along with my Gerber prybrid.
It's funny u got that Ozark trail pack, I am going on a fly fishing trip this weekend and picked up the same pack! I'm gonna use it as small bag to carry a couple cliff bars, chapstick, sunscreen etc ...great stuff Taylor !!
In 2009 I found a Swiss Army Rambler at my local Meijer for $18. I thought it was cool because it had more features than the classic. It's opened countless toys to put batteries in. I cut my nails, open beer bottles, tweeze hairs, clean my teeth, the list goes on and on. I carry it everyday still.
'George' was the in house fashion brand at UK supermarket chain 'Asda', the George brand was founded in 1989 as a partnership between English fashion designer George Davies & Asda. Walmart bought Asda in 1999 and got the brands, but I guess it wasn't as successful over the pond. Davies formerly designed for high street fashion outlet 'Next' in the UK.
One of the best thing I found at Walmart was a slime wallet from Walmart they were on clearance for 5 bucks and it has been holding strong for quite some time now. Awesome video 🎉
Here in Quebec, Canada it's really hard to find edc stuff in stores, but I found a small locally owned hunting shop where they sold the Browning Rivet. It has D2, ball bearings and copper scales, for only 70 CAD (about 52 USD).
Hi taylor, we dont have walmart here in the UK but I was once in Bristol in the UK and found an old school tool store and I bought a Hulafors fixed blade for probably $10 US its fantastic for heavy work but I cant carry it for UK legal edc, I've got some SAK and leatherman stuff but Id really enjoy this carry. Love the channel, thanks for your content. Ben
I had to make an emergency EDC in Autozone a few years ago, my bag got stolen, Nothing significant, off-brand Swiss army, multitool, lighter, flashlights, and knife, The knife was a little jewel a surebilt folding that still stands today. rusty but sharp enough to cut everything.
My best local EDC find was at a flea market. They had a random aliexpress "thrower" flashlight for 2€. The flashlight was absolutely shit but had 2 decent quality 18650 cells, which greatly pleased me as a flashlight nut.
Target used to sell Yoobi pocket notebooks (3-packs for ~$5) that have been extremely durable for me while being small enough to forget it's there. They also do sort of a Warby Parker type thing where they donated school supplies for every item sold.
I'm a pen connoisseur, and the best pens I've ever used are the U.S. Government pens I accumulated in the Army and the Zebra gel pen. Edit: I found a telescoping magnet at Auto Zone that is absolutely fantastic and very handy!
Costco had this awesome tools bench and a great tool box with zippered pouches I wanted to use for edc gear. Came back a week later and they were sold out. Definitely keep your eyes peeled!
My best find was a Gerber EAB at Walmart. it got me into carrying a utility knife, which led me down the rabbit hole to a ti rant razor. But I still occasionally carry it now and again.
One of my best deals or finds at a local store was actually at a local Walmart. I grabbed 3 Buck 110 anniversary editions on clearance for $11.88. It was a great deal!
3 bucks for 11 dollars ?!?!?!?!?
Wow
Same I found my set in the clearance section after Christmas!
@@No-ub5ju Yes! They are the 120th Anniversary Tin set.
@@TheOutdoorsman5 I know! I wish they had more! They make awesome gifts too.

Hot damn what a steal
@GarretsGear he sure did 😂😂

I am going to try them the have great community reviews. They have a nice fix blade also.

I have the Swiss Tech knives and multi tool great buys.

Finally we get a good video on affordable blades, I find this interesting. Thanks for sharing!
I agree, the best EDC finds are in the Walmart Clearance isle. Found a great $80 backpack there for $20. Random tools, chargers, clips, etc.
One of the best EDC deals I got was on Ebay. I bought a Leatherman Micra almost in new condition for $4.00. I carry that thing everywhere.
My local WM just got them in
Mine did too. I first found out about them and searched every Walmart around me for a good two weeks haha
😂 let me know which Walmart you found that at
Really new to edc but my best find is probably the coast flashlight you mentioned in this video! Super compact and easy to carry
My best was a $25 Milwaukee fast back 1505 at my local Ace Hardware. Hasn’t left my pocket since and is a great tool to have!
Was in Wal-Mart the other day and found a SOG PowerPint
. I have been looking one for months. Love it.Fits in my 5th pocket like it was made for it.
Best find at a local store is my beads. I use air hose connections as beads. I cut the threads off and have a really neat looking brass bead
I picked up a Victorinox Climber on clearance at Target for $14. It has been part of my rotation ever since.
The best edc thing I’ve ever gotten was a leatherman leap which they don’t make anymore, it is very light weight and fits in the pocket with no problem and has withstood some hard abuse from 2016-present
I’ve been really impressed by the snappy thumb flick open, and the knife as a whole, of the $20 Gerber Zilch. And as low as $14 on line.
Picked up a black swiss champ at REI for $30, open box. Thing is awesome, lives in my pocket full time now.
Best thing I found was at an academy store when I was on the road and forgot my knife. But the Buck Trunk knife, $30 and it’s been a regular in the rotation. It’s kinda smaller version of the buck in this video.
I got that same carabiner at my local Academy. While I was there I also picked up the Gerber Suspension NXT. It's served me fairly well so far.
My cool edc find was the write in the rain notebooks pack of 3 at Menards. Have not seen them at any other menards I've been to in my area.
Ben
One of the best finds I've had was my local outdoor sporting goods shop. They have a decent knife selection and I got a nice Kershaw Launch from them.
My best find happened at cabelas, I was just walking around and found an awesome black and green chubs wallet. Now I use it almost every day.
My best find was a Gerber EAB at Walmart. it got me into carrying a utility knife, which led me down the rabbit hole to a ti rant razor. But I still occasionally carry it now and again.
