0:53 - 1:10 godot = bad
1:11 - 2:15 scratch = meh
2:16 - 2:28 actually scratch is bad
2:29 - 2:41 unity is easy!
2:42 - 3:31 oh...
3:32 - 3:45 but wait?
3:46 - 4:25 mindset altercations?
4:26 - 5:05 I'm starting to learn
5:06 - 5:59 making some sweet sweet monopoly money
6:00 - 6:20 getting better again
6:21 - 6:45 finally... understanding - บันเทิง
I liked the empty "cool stuff" folder :D
Thanks! Yeah I was thinking of a simple way of conveying it and thought that would probably be a good way to go...

From godot to scratch and then to unity, one heck of a journey, epik video
thanks!
it’s kinda amazing seeing the quality difference between all of your previous games and Shadow Walker
yeah, they used to be good... now it's such a downgrade

3:18 that's interesting. I have been through this too. Specially before starting to game dev. I just couldn't stop playing games and once i finally tried game dev (coding, trying to do a game in unity) i would just go to my phone and so on. Now finally i feel comfortable and when i play games, i feel like i could just make them instead of playing. this way, i can add my own features and characteristics to it. Fun to think about.
Playing games can be good, but for me I want to stop consuming things and start creating them more. I think it's a good mindset to get into.
Great video!👍now I just have to finish mine......
good luck!
Very good video 📷

cool vid!
Yep
Watching this video is kinda like peeking into an alternate universe version of me. I basically went through all the same steps you described until 2:54 when i just decided to give up on Unity.
interesting... are you still doing game dev or you just fully gave up on it all?
I gave up. For now game dev was just a thing 12-year-old me did 6 years ago on the Family Computer. I made some cool stuff on Scratch, some minigames I was kinda proud of but when I tried moving on to unity I thought it was too complicated. Idk maybe now that I'm a bit older I'll look into it again
@@PlanetaryFacts one good way you could try to learn is entering a game jam, then you wouldn't have any pressure to keep continuing if you didn't like it. Who knows? Maybe you'd learn a thing or two and maybe it'd be super fun now that you're a little older..
epic video, almost brought a tear to my eye
oh cool!

2:58. Lol, one of the things you learn about game dev is that is mostly frustrating and time consuming, atleast if you're beginner. Once you get the hang of it, everything will start to make sense and will have more memory muscle.
yep
Relatable too
Yep
fix your mindset buddy
