As soon as a read "almost won" in the title I knew what had happened. Community voting just doesn't work, people 'cheese' it, becomes popularity contest instead of gamedev. Ways to prevent it could be: 1. Anonymous entry, that way no one knows who made which game. 2. Force playing of every single game before someone can vote (more work to implement), possibly too hard to vote. 3. Community given a random short list of games to play and rank (eg vote 1, 2, 3 for the following randomly chosen games). You'd think #1 would be fool proof, but I'm sure people would post on private facebook/patreon/discord/steam groups to vote for their particular creation.
No doubt, it’s TOUGH to run something like that. But I suspect it won’t be happening this way next time, given the response Despite that I think Lixian is wonderful and don’t begrudge him the victory at all
Part of me wonders if you’d have gotten anywhere near the growth if you’d gotten your deserved win. Everyone following you partly or maybe even mostly because they think it’s unfair lmao. Maybe you didn’t get the $10k, but you know it might lead to bigger things sooner anyway!! Wishing you luck for the rest of the journey and i’m excited to follow along!
Thank you very much!! And I have definitely wondered what that alternate universe would have looked like, too. Usually what I imagine makes me more grateful for this one 😅
I have an idea for a boss that might be interesting. Cats supposedly have 9 lives, so what if the way to immortality was to have multiple cats share one of their lives? A cat owner as a boss would be something I haven't seen in games before
While others took the theme in a different direction (and in my opinion lost the theme in some cases), you stayed with the theme the best out of every single contestant. Personally, I would say you won the competition. I have Disinherited wishlisted on steam and look forward to the game's progress!
I watched that BTD competition, its how I found about your channel Dryden! You make really cool stuff, and as everyone said I feel like you were top contender. I've already wishlisted Disinherited and I'm really glad you're pushing for a release! :D
If this game comes to console I’m definitely buying and supporting. Your work ethic and adherence to the prompts given during the challenge were in my opinion the best of any of the devs. I was like oh he’s THINKING thinking when hearing your ideas for lore and storylines. Definitely keep up the great work bro. Take your time and see your vision through. Can’t wait for the release
Hahaha “THINKING thinking” made me chuckle. I’m gonna push to get to console really hard! I’m mostly a console player myself, so that would be a dream come true for me
Really late to saying it, but the fact you lost the competition is absolute bullshit. You 100% deserved the win, the winning project was actual dogwater.
Aw thanks for sayin so-I thought Lixian did a great job too, but of course it would have been more fun to win 😆 and in a way I feel like I did, this whole community here grew x10 since then!
Dryden I fell in love with your game the first I heard about it! The story, characters, gameplay all seem so intriguing I can’t wait to play it! I wanted you to win so bad I was so disappointed with how the vote went. :((
Bro you have no idea how much your game gave me energy to throw myself at gamedev again after a huge pause, i'll be following your work for sure and maybe finish a game of my own, thank alot. You should have won that 10k prize
i have a suggestion have you ever played tiny theif this game kinda resembles that its a master piece maybe you should add some things or puzzles from it aswell?
Having a fan vote on a non-anonymized contest between TH-camrs is literally just an existing popularity contest and seems really arbitrary and unfair 😔
They tried to anonymize it, but it was all very last-minute and stuff got missed. And we weren’t warned about it or anything (and the voting period was so short-just a few hours), so we definitely didn’t have time to reach out to our communities or anything like that! So it’s not as bad as it might seem, and I feel great about how things have gone since!
I need to say, i think Lixians game was cool, but i just dont think he shoulve won. Yours game just feels more thought through and in general, your ideas were lot cooler. And the music and design is just an incredible piece of art!
Aww, thank you! I totally see why his did end up winning, but I’m just glad so many like you who prefer the 2D hand-drawn side of things have come over here to support the game 🤓
find out about you and this game from the competition video and I liked your game from the very beginning. As someone who is only now starting to learn about game development, I can only be inspired by this and maybe learn some useful tips and tricks along the way ;)
The game sounds absolutely amazing and definitely deserved to win! Your ideas were super creative and it was very well designed. Can't wait to see what you make in the future!
Sadly I don’t have a computer which means I can’t get steam but if I did I would’ve added disinherited to my wish list immediately, it looks so fun and kind of reminds me of hollow knight, I’ll definitely be watching these dev logs over the weeks to see how everything goes

^^ this! Lixian is an awesome dude and dev, he made a great game and I have no negative feelings about how this turned out. The support has been incredible.
I know, I'm only one of many comments here saying the same. But your game deserved to be the winner. It was a full game which not only looks awesome, but also had a lot of content, own made music and sprites and a lot of promise for the future. And it was unique and looked very polished for a "jam". You got a new sub and I'm exited to see the devlog and more from you!
I Still can't believe that the game didn't win, The Other wasn't bad, but it was just another generic horror game with PS2 graphics (5 of these release every day), If it weren't for the fact that the creator of the other game was much more famous than Dryden, Disinherited would have won!
Thank you for the support, it really means the world 🥲 Ahh he did a great job too and poured so much into his game, I think it takes a lot of directorial ability to stage that suspense and horror and he has a serious knack for it. I feel like it was just sooo apples and oranges 😅
"generic horror game with PS2 graphics" - firstly, it's PS1 graphics and secondly... so what?? It's a style he chose to go for and in YOUR perspective it's "generic". I would argue that PS1 styled looking games are the least generic, because there's more creativity that goes into them. I assume you say "generic" because of the amount you've seen? That's purely subjective based and you can definitely have that opinion.
@@VoltageDevelopment Firstly, Thank you I didn't know, Secondly, I Think you don't know the meaning of "Generic", Generic does not mean bad, it only means that is the current trend, just search "Indie Horror Game" and you'll see what I'm talking about, Anyway, my comment is not about "Are horror games with PS1 graphics good or bad?", Games are games, there is no game genre that is 100% good or bad, my comment is about that; IN MY -> OPINION
I just adore how much thought you've put into this game. The theme is incredible with a great twist on memento mori. I love how the father remembered his mortality and tried to push his son to remember his (though I don't know if that was necessarily the best way lol) but the son, in protest strives to forget his mortality. I have a feeling that might bite him in the end but who knows! Not to mention, your knowledge of history brings life to the characters, art, and music. All that being said, this is likely the best game I've seen on any of these game dev competitions and I immediately wishlisted it. Can't wait to play it! Just please take care of your own health as you build this game and don't let pressure from fans like us make you push past a healthy limit.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful response!! That was the deepest tie to the theme that I wanted to get across with the project, and it should only be getting further underscored in the finished game :) I'll try to be much more mindful of my health during the rest of the dev cycle. Maybe "remember my own mortality" in a different way 😆
Great video and great game! Congrats on making it so far in the competition. Also, I am just starting a new channel about Godot game dev! Would love it if anyone checked it out.
You should have won TBH. Your entry was really impressive, so many systems masterfully pieced together. Unfortunately, general audiences are usually easily impressed by flashy graphics, and while your game's sprite art looks great, people always tend to find 3D more impressive than 2D, even if the 3D is bad - so much so that when 3D games started to become more mainstream in the 90s, alot of titles jumped to 3D, even at detriment to how they actually looked (take the PC and the PS1 version of Dune 2000 as a good example of this - the 2D art of the PC version looks great, but they went 3D for the PS1 version with horribly blocky art because they felt like they had too). Now I am not trying to disparage the game that won the competition; It looked nice enough in it's 3D, and it did have some amazing jump-scare scenes (which is a great thing to have, yes, but unfortunately the kind of thing TH-cam audiences tend to over-value, just look at the popularity of horror-game playthroughs), but beyond that it seemed much more generic and basic than what you had done. You could tell with your game you had put alot of thought and planning into everything, and there was immense depth to your systems, whereas for the winner's game, it sort of seemed like that were making it up as they went along much more. Nothing wrong with that approach, but it did feel like less effort was put into it overall. Oh well, I could lament about the simplicity and shallowness of the wider general audience all day long, but I shan't. I am sure that 10 grand would have been great for you, but at the end of the day, you're still a winner - as I am glad you realise by all the extra follows and wishlists you've gotten since the competition. Nicely done good sir, nicely done. Be proud!
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment!! I so felt like I was making it up as I went along too 😅 but I always feel like if you strive to connect everything back to the foundation, it’ll feel like it was always meant to be. Well, if you’re lucky anyway
Something tells me you woulda pulled out an adorable character design and some unique mechanics and won hearts Love your work btw, you’re one of my faves!
Yeah i have to agree with everyone here, it's CRAZY that you didn't win that competition. The art, the music, the gameplay, everything is perfectly on theme!!! I can't wait to try out the full game, and i believe you've got the powerhouse of creativity for more games like it :D
I am starting(again)my journey on game dev. I quit using a computer for a long time and recently got a new one and decided to give it another go. Also doing TH-cam, streaming. And learning as much as I can in my free time. I started watching what I used to watch years ago. BTP, brackeys. All the old classic game devs. Just saw your game on btp comp and I normally don’t subscribe nowadays to anyone new. But you got my subscribe. It is really incredible how you lost just because of a community vote. But least to say. Your game was the best from the first week. Cannot wait to see the full polished end result. Keep it going man
Honestly your game has so much more charm to it, and so many possibilites for new content. And it fits the theme so well. I do not wish to bash Lixian, but that 10k would have been better off with your project. It‘s great that there so many creative minds still afloat nowadays!
Wow, sorry for the late reply, but this is so kind of you to say!! Honestly I don't mind losing the competition, the support since then has been more than worth it :D Thanks for being here!
at first I didn't think that you deserved the win because your game was 2d and thus a little easier to work with. After watching this video however and seeing more of the game you definitely put a lot of work into this and should at leat get a vote closer to 50/50 than 70/30🙄
I was so sad when you didn't win!! I 100 percent think you deserved it, popularity rigged the vote :( I'm so excited to get the game once it's out!! (no pressure)
Ahh it’s all okay! There were a lot of factors that don’t have to do with popularity. It was such a short voting time frame, and neither of us promoted it to our friends or communities. What matters to me is that you’re excited about it, truly!!!
So are you not at all mad about them screwing up anonymous voting? Cause I'd be fuming. You seem like a great person tho, so probably handling it alot better than i would've.
Ah, it’s all good on my end! The whole thing was super fast (like community vote was only in the span of hours) and we weren’t warned or anything. So yeah, having the name be in there was a fumble, but also, it’s really not possible to attribute how much of the vote result was due to that vs other factors (preference of genre, preference of 3D, faster emotional hook, etc) Honestly even just getting that far in the competition was so so huge for me, and the aftereffects have put me on a trajectory where this gamedev dream can actually become real. That’s everything I could have wanted!
I was whole heartedly disappointed that you lost in that video. No offence at all to the other developer but his game literally looked like every other asset dump, jump scare game I have seen. Your game had better visuals, atmosphere, and incorporated the themes better. Not to mention it was unique in comparison to other games.
I def think his game took a ton of craft to make, but I certainly understand feeling disappointed 😅 I appreciate your kind words about disinherited, and thank you so much for being here 😄
You knoe what is funny? I saw a awesome video right before i saw the black thornprod video and check out your channel. Thats when i knew i should really keep up with these videos 😁
This game 100% shouldve one, only one that actually felt like a real game with replayability, and honestly the only one that really fit the Memento Mori theme
You 100% should have won. It was really unfair adding the community vote, and the result showed the voters indeed only cared about the popularity of your competitor. Dryden was the one game that I actually wanted to play and pay money for. I wishlised the game, and hope to play it one day!
Thank you for your wishlist and support 🥹 ofc I wish it hadn’t been down to a community vote, but I definitely think Lixian did an incredible job, and you just never know what’s gonna happen between apples and oranges 😄
I will be keeping a close eye on this one.... I am a massive roguelike fan, and was rooting for your game right from the start of the competition. There is so much potential here. Easy wishlist
That episode made me very upset with you. Like everyone said the voting was skewed and it showed. Everyone knew your game was the winner. Can't wait to buy Disinherited when it comes out already wish listed it.
You got scammed! I dont know why you think disinherited sucks. Everything about it was way better than the winner, you actually cared about your game I think that deserves the 10k
My dude, I would have paid for that game. You were absolutely robbed. Lixian made a good zombie horror game - but it's such an overused trope. But! a memento mori can also be a small gift or trinket to remind you of someone who has passed on. You absolutely should have won, hands down.
I absolutely thought you should of won, this game looks like it'll be so fun and there are so many options for bosses! There are so many different figures in history and myth that have claimed to be immortal and some would absolutely make awesome fights. I wanna put my vote in for one boss fight that is reminescent of Ornstein And Smough or Theseus and Asterius, but based on the alchemist Nicholas Flamel and his wife Perenelle Flamel, as I think a good double boss fight always gives an interesting challenge
Oh wow, this is me learning that Nicholas Flamel wasn’t just made up for Harry Potter. Fascinating, and what a great idea… maybe the area could be the Stone itself or something? 🤔
@@LighthoofDryden I'm a huge mythology and history buff so I love learning about weird figures like the Flamels. The one thing that brings out the truly wild stories tend to involve immortality at some point, like the tales of Count of St. Germain or Emperor Qin Shi Huang

But I suspect it won’t be happening this way next time, given the response
Despite that I think Lixian is wonderful and don’t begrudge him the victory at all
Part of me wonders if you’d have gotten anywhere near the growth if you’d gotten your deserved win.
Your creativity and music is insane! Cant believe that you have only been coding for 2 years!
Thank you so much omg! I've been incredibly obsessed since I started
I have an idea for a boss that might be interesting. Cats supposedly have 9 lives, so what if the way to immortality was to have multiple cats share one of their lives? A cat owner as a boss would be something I haven't seen in games before
9 lives is so interesting 👀 I mean, the main character’s dad’s cat is already gonna be a big deal, so that’s a perfect tie in!!
@zawdan666 Bro just cooked 5 star meal
While others took the theme in a different direction (and in my opinion lost the theme in some cases), you stayed with the theme the best out of every single contestant. Personally, I would say you won the competition. I have Disinherited wishlisted on steam and look forward to the game's progress!
Thank youuuu
I watched that BTD competition, its how I found about your channel Dryden! You make really cool stuff, and as everyone said I feel like you were top contender. I've already wishlisted Disinherited and I'm really glad you're pushing for a release! :D
Oh man, thanks for coming over here! And for your kind words. Making cool stuff is all I wanna do 😄
If this game comes to console I’m definitely buying and supporting.
I’m mostly a console player myself, so that would be a dream come true for me
Hearing your husband is supporting you so well while you do this challenge made me tear up!! I can't wait to see future dev logs
He's been a gem
Really late to saying it, but the fact you lost the competition is absolute bullshit. You 100% deserved the win, the winning project was actual dogwater.
Aw thanks for sayin so-I thought Lixian did a great job too, but of course it would have been more fun to win 😆 and in a way I feel like I did, this whole community here grew x10 since then!
Dryden I fell in love with your game the first I heard about it! The story, characters, gameplay all seem so intriguing I can’t wait to play it! I wanted you to win so bad I was so disappointed with how the vote went. :((
Aw thank you so much!! The demo is coming tomorrow 🫨🫨🫨
Bro you have no idea how much your game gave me energy to throw myself at gamedev again after a huge pause, i'll be following your work for sure and maybe finish a game of my own, thank alot. You should have won that 10k prize
Bro!! The idea of inspiring other gamedevs is so unreal to me. Make it happen, you got this 💪
You have become my fav game dev pls keep going with the game your amazing and humble❤
i have a suggestion have you ever played tiny theif this game kinda resembles that its a master piece maybe you should add some things or puzzles from it aswell?
I haven't heard of it but I love playing games and getting to call it "research!" Gonna check it out
@@LighthoofDryden it was robios game they deleted it but u can download an apk or just watch a gameplay vid its a old classic
In my opinion you definitely won, this game looks awesome!
i would 100% purchase this on steam? is this gonna be released
You should've won. Hands down you got cheated by the fact that the "community" got to vote.
find out about you and this game from the competition video and I liked your game from the very beginning. As someone who is only now starting to learn about game development, I can only be inspired by this and maybe learn some useful tips and tricks along the way ;)
Thank you, that’s so kind! I hope I can share some stuff in the devlogs that’ll be helpful :D
Not a huge gamer, you definitely won that one though
I think yhe fact that you did not win the fan vote says something about the marketability of the game rather than about the quality of it
Quite possibly! I definitely think it takes a minute to get rolling, which is something I’ve been keeping my eye on improving :)
Hello! How is it going?
Your game has reminded me about "dead cells" )
I looove Dead Cells
You don't know how legitimately hyped I am to play disinherited. It seems so fun!
Thank you aaah! Let me know what you think of the demo whenever you get a chance to hop in, it’s on itch now 😎
@@LighthoofDryden I definitely will next time I get some extra time on my hands!
The game sounds absolutely amazing and definitely deserved to win! Your ideas were super creative and it was very well designed. Can't wait to see what you make in the future!
Thank you so much!! I can't wait to make more :)
So glad to see you’re continuing work on the game! I’m buying this the day it’s available
Sadly I don’t have a computer which means I can’t get steam but if I did I would’ve added disinherited to my wish list immediately, it looks so fun and kind of reminds me of hollow knight, I’ll definitely be watching these dev logs over the weeks to see how everything goes
You being here is what matters, I appreciate it!! Do you usually game on console? I hope I can get some ports going asap after Steam release :)
@@LighthoofDryden yeah I play on ps4, if I could play disinherited on it that would be beautiful
You may have lost that battle.
But you are on your way to win the war. Best wishes.
Thanks so much for the encouragement!!
After the video, I immediately went to see if this game was out,not the other one.
Will your game have a magical or a unknown language system besides English u learn throughout the game maybe for puzzles or a magic system cause i think it makes for game u going for
We already know from Lighthoof that I like making up languages and alphabets... soooooo maybe!?
thank u for taking it into consideration i hope u do though and mostly still have english if u do i don't why but i soo hyped for friday for u to post
U put so much effort excited to see your future and the future of this game
another question not tryna be rude but are u frim lgbt community?

Lets not complain more that he lost we all know why lets just enjoy his videos now and support him like by hating or regretting we are not gonna gain anything so lets just support him 😅
And please try making some games for Android
^^ this! Lixian is an awesome dude and dev, he made a great game and I have no negative feelings about how this turned out. The support has been incredible.
Can't wait for the full release, have wishlisted already :D
Hope you win next time ^^ Because you deserve it
Me too, I wanna go to the gamedev castle competition hahahah.
But for now, I'm already feeling so happy with how things have turned out. :D
So pumped to watch you expand on this game!
Thank you!!! I’m so pumped to do it 🧡 and glad you’re here!
Wow, i loved the backstories for each boss 😍very dark and fit the theme
IBRA! Thank youuu I had a lot of fun crafting them (and maybe got too into it 😆)
Really excited to watch this unfold. Good luck to you!
Thank you sincerely for being here!!
@@LighthoofDryden you're so positive it's really infectious 💛💚💙🩵
I know, I'm only one of many comments here saying the same. But your game deserved to be the winner. It was a full game which not only looks awesome, but also had a lot of content, own made music and sprites and a lot of promise for the future. And it was unique and looked very polished for a "jam".
You got a new sub and I'm exited to see the devlog and more from you!
Thank you so much for being here and for your kind words! I put a lotta heart into it and will continue doing so :)
I Still can't believe that the game didn't win, The Other wasn't bad, but it was just another generic horror game with PS2 graphics (5 of these release every day), If it weren't for the fact that the creator of the other game was much more famous than Dryden, Disinherited would have won!
Facts
Thank you for the support, it really means the world 🥲
Ahh he did a great job too and poured so much into his game, I think it takes a lot of directorial ability to stage that suspense and horror and he has a serious knack for it.
That was the deepest tie to the theme that I wanted to get across with the project, and it should only be getting further underscored in the finished game :)
I'll try to be much more mindful of my health during the rest of the dev cycle. Maybe "remember my own mortality" in a different way 😆
Great video and great game! Congrats on making it so far in the competition.
Also, I am just starting a new channel about Godot game dev! Would love it if anyone checked it out.
Hey thanks!! And oh man, if I could do it all again… Godot all the way. Maybe someday…
I loved the game when I first saw it. Please make more games like that.
I certainly will!! Thank you :)
What a robbery, I just watched the vid and had to come over to subscribe. Your rogue like looks so fun.
On the contrary, it's been such a gift!! Welcome, and I can't wait to give you a chance to play!
You did so well with the theme, I would have been absolutely lost with "Memento Mori"
Something tells me you woulda pulled out an adorable character design and some unique mechanics and won hearts
Love your work btw, you’re one of my faves!
Yeah i have to agree with everyone here, it's CRAZY that you didn't win that competition. The art, the music, the gameplay, everything is perfectly on theme!!! I can't wait to try out the full game, and i believe you've got the powerhouse of creativity for more games like it :D
Oh gosh, thank you!! I’m so excited for you to play it too :D and to keep going after it’s done!
Keep it going man
Thank you, that is such a high compliment!! Best of luck to you as you re-embark on your gamedev quest. It’ll be worth it!
Finding you made my day, thanks!
Aw thanks, that’s so nice!
Best of luck developing the game! Can’t wait to see how it will get improved in the upcoming future 😁
AIRIDAS!! Thanks for the encouragement, I bet I’m gonna need it 😆
Honestly your game has so much more charm to it, and so many possibilites for new content. And it fits the theme so well.
I do not wish to bash Lixian, but that 10k would have been better off with your project. It‘s great that there so many creative minds still afloat nowadays!
Wow, sorry for the late reply, but this is so kind of you to say!!
Honestly I don't mind losing the competition, the support since then has been more than worth it :D
Thanks for being here!
Like so many said before, I also think you should have won. Amazing work, keep going, I wish you the best. Cheers from Germany
Thank you so much!! Cheers from across the pond :)
I'm super excited for this game
Thank you 🙏 😄
Your game was awesome and his Artistic Direction is awesome too.
at first I didn't think that you deserved the win because your game was 2d and thus a little easier to work with. After watching this video however and seeing more of the game you definitely put a lot of work into this and should at leat get a vote closer to 50/50 than 70/30🙄
It's up to almost 300! :O
So yeah, having the name be in there was a fumble, but also, it’s really not possible to attribute how much of the vote result was due to that vs other factors (preference of genre, preference of 3D, faster emotional hook, etc)
Honestly even just getting that far in the competition was so so huge for me, and the aftereffects have put me on a trajectory where this gamedev dream can actually become real. That’s everything I could have wanted!
I know someone who could localize the game to french if u need it
I speak french but he's a professional, thats literally what he does

Heyy thank you so much!! I appreciate it :)
Keep going! Really liked the game! You are very talented and also very sweet.

Hey thank you so much!! I appreciate you, cheers :)
Thank you!!! I’m so glad you happened to click and watch and now you’re here :D
Good luck for the game's success, I feel like having really great art for everything will really help the game.
Thank you!! I appreciate that :D
Loved the refrences to A Series of Unfortunate Events, was hoping for your game to win but honestly ill probably buy this when it releases
Hey thank you!! That means a lot :)
This game 100% shouldve one, only one that actually felt like a real game with replayability, and honestly the only one that really fit the Memento Mori theme
Ay thanks so much! I do love working with a theme, a lot 😅
Thank you so so much, happy to have ya along for the ride!!
Some of the judges voted for the other guy too. Can’t say it was stolen, although I think Dryden’s game was better too.
Yes, I agree!! It was always gonna be close, and I think the broader community was always going to be very split based on taste.
I hoped so Bad, that your Game wins... But Hearing your Plans, Made me sooo Happy
Thank you!! I think it's the best thing that could have happened!
That episode made me very upset with you. Like everyone said the voting was skewed and it showed. Everyone knew your game was the winner. Can't wait to buy Disinherited when it comes out already wish listed it.
Ahh it’s all good on my end 😅 I’m just so thrilled with your support, a dollar prize couldn’t possibly compare
I commented on your other video at the time but I’ll say it again. Love your content and I’m excited to see what you do !
Thank you friend!! I appreciate it every time 😄
Instantly came to subscribe. You deserved that win such a well thought out game! I will be getting this game the moment it’s released!
Oh man, thank you!!! Current target for full release is Feb, with an open limited beta & kickstarter coming in early fall :D
I really wished this game had won, but I am happy you are gonna realise it nonetheless :D

man. you are like.. really fucking cool. excited to see what the game becomes, goodluck!
Nah you’re cool for being here 😎 thanks so much for the support, appreciate you
You got scammed! I dont know why you think disinherited sucks. Everything about it was way better than the winner, you actually cared about your game I think that deserves the 10k
I def had my moments of doubt in there, but I love it and I’m so ready to make it shine
If I was one of the judges, I would’ve totally voted for you! In my eyes, your game was the best!❤
Your eyes are the ones that matter
Your game is so amazing! I personally think you should have won.
Aw thank you!! But I’ve come so far because of that video-I can’t complain one bit :)

Came here from the BTP video. Enjoyed watching your entry and this video. I really look forward to what you do with this going forward.
Hey thanks! Btw, watched your Roguelike vids during the competition for inspiration-looking forward to seeing where that goes too :)
@LighthoofDryden Oh, I wasn't expecting to hear that, haha. Thanks though!
Hello
Hi :)
My dude, I would have paid for that game. You were absolutely robbed. Lixian made a good zombie horror game - but it's such an overused trope. But! a memento mori can also be a small gift or trinket to remind you of someone who has passed on. You absolutely should have won, hands down.
Aw thanks!! Appreciate you being here 😇 the demo is out now on itch by the way!
@@LighthoofDryden WHAT brb gotta go snag something real quick :3
Im definitely purchasing this masterful rogue like! Your music design, visuals, and creativity are all amazing
Thank you!! Much more to come, much more to polish. Thanks for being here :)
Germain or Emperor Qin Shi Huang
everybody is already saying it, but you were definitely robbed. your game stood out from the beginning all the way to the end!
Thank you 🥹 that’s so kind!!
I was rooting for your game because it's more my thing than Lixian's (although congrats to him). I love roguelikes so I'll be keeping up with your 100 days and kickstarter. Good luck to you and your husband

You should have one easily and that 10k would have allowed you to make an amazing game. so annoyed!!!
Hopefully I can raise it in the Kickstarter and then we’ll really go wild!
I wishlisted! You are an inspiration and I wish you best of luck this time around!
Thank you so much, that means a ton!!
I think you should have won because your less popular and horror games are more popular than rogelikes
Well thank you for sayin so!! 😄😄
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Lixian, Dude is a fun editor and personality and dev, but that was Bullshit.
