True! I’ll always prefer the atmosphere of the original games. The only remake that managed to actually surpass the original was the first RE1 remake imo because they kept the essentials and expanded them with respect, and avoided cutting content and changing the tone and character. These new remakes just aren’t it imo. RE2 remake was all right, but RE3 remake is worse in pretty much every way except for graphics and sound. Then there’s all the removed areas, Jill’s redesign and ‘I’m a strong badass wumun!’ personality which I find obnoxious and annoying, and the fact that the game was obviously rushed and half-baked.

I never figured, who/what killed Nicholai at 50:15? I don't believe it was Nemesis 'cause it was programmed to hunt down the surviving S.T.A.R.S. members and pratically ignore everyone else (except if he was attacked).
It was nemesis for sur. Cause at this moment of the game the parasyte who grow up in the body of Nemesis cause him to no longer being capable of thinking 100% on his target. His at the end of his second form after all, he will hurt anybody or anything at this stage. And there's no points of hiding some basic creature already fought in the game just for the "mystery effect". The nicholai murder was just a way to prepare yourself for the fight with nemesis who you encounter in the next room after that cutscene.

The one thing I hate about this game is how much lack of CGI cutscenes there were. They looked much better here, but were only 8 minutes. Hell, Resident Evil 2 had *41 MINUTES of CGI cutscenes!*
It all depends on whether you found Carlos in the Diner or the News Office, and what option you choose after. I don't remember exactly which leads to which, but one option in either location will result in Carlos meeting Murphy, and the other will result in Nicholai being there instead.
Do you mean Murphy, the other mercenary? You either need to run into the restaurant's basement ( *don't* hide in the kitchen) or hide in the office in Raccoon's Press ( *don't* jump out of the window).
@@josejulianaguirrepinzon7666 yeah Murphy, yeah Murphy, I remember I sometimes hidden in the office but Murphy's cutscene didn't appear so much, or maybe I remember badly since I chosen to hide in the kitchen most of times. Thanks
I have NO IDEA why peope praise Code Veronica over THIS!!! THIS is the TRUE follow up to Resident Evil 2, as it tells the ending moments story of Racoon City. Even the endings, this game ended with an entire city being wiped out. Code Veronica ended with a plane ride. The events of RE3 gets mentioned AGAIN AND AGAIN, the events of Code Veronica almost NEVER GETS MENTIONED! Someone PLEASE tell me, what's so great about Code Veronica that many people consider it the superior game, whereas storywise THIS GAME is perhaps the MOST relevant game before Resident Evil 4?
@@redfieldwong717 WAIT WAIT WAIT! Code Veronica is NOT CANON? REALLY? When did this happen? OK, then Chris just happen to show up and Claire just happen to find chris by bumping into him in a cafe or something? Gameplay wise, Code Veronica took many steps BACKWARDS from RE3, but storywise, I don't think people understand what CVX ACTUALLY tried to do. It took me over TWENTY YEARS to figure this out. This, coupled with the fact that I didn't see any other youtuber highlight this, leads me to believe that even the RE fans don't understand the purpose of Code Veronica, and how unique a game it is. But... if it's not canon, then... it doesn't matter. In fact if CVX didn't happen, then Claire Redfield is perhaps the WORST character in the whole RE chanchise. So, is CVX canon or not canon? And to further understand why CVX is so unique, and had the GREATEST potential, I invite you to watch my video about the Original Claire Redfield story that everyone missed.
@@TheBengalDragon Honestly I’m not 100% on that fact. Most people don’t acknowledge it as canon(even though I do), mostly because it’s been a consensus in the RE community. The logic is if an RE game doesn’t get recalled in another game it doesn’t count as it ever happening. The T-Veronica virus is not ever referenced outside it’s own game. And truth be told I almost never hear anyone saying Code Veronica is better than RE3 even though Code Veronica is my favorite.
@@redfieldwong717 I heard many people say CVX is better than RE3, and they point to the gameplay, background and the fact that Chris found Claire, and Wesker returned. So... if the RE fanbase believes that CVX never happened, then how did Claire find Chris according to them? They left such an important bit of Claire's life out of the games? As for the references to Code Veronica, there are indeed references to Code Veronica in Resident Evil Degenerations AND in Resident Evil Revelations 2, but these are subtle, as the ORIGINAL PURPOSE of Code Veronica was NOT the Veronica Virus. Once again, I invite you to watch my video on the Original Claire Redfield story everyone missed, and see if you can find the Code Veronica references in Redegenrations and Revelations 2, and once you have, I'll let you know why no one else mentions the events of Code Veronica. I invite you to the vid coz if I were to explain it here, the comment will be 100 pages long. I look forward to your thoughts. P.S After my analysis, I have concluded that the original Claire Redfield (not the cheeseburger loving girl who's boy crazy enough to be gang banged by a motorcycle crew, that you see in RE2 remake) is my favorite RE character from the original cast, because by the end, she is no more a bad ass... she is... very unique. Anyways, really looking forward to your thoughts
@@redfieldwong717 Just a follow up, now that I assume you have watched the video on my channel I was refering to, did you notice the MULTIPLE references to Code Veronica in Degenerations and Revelations 2? So... have you figured out why no one else knows about the events of Code Veronica in its entirety, even into Revelations 2?

Back then I didn’t even get past the first zombie, or the first Nemesis encounter in 3. Don’t ask why a 5 year old had a Resident Evil game. The new remake doesn’t compare to this.

They're not spiders goofball. There are spiders but that enemy isn't a spidey

According to Wikia, they are called Drain Deimos. Wish you find the longer version of the scene...

The intro of re2 with Birkin and hunt and this one with the police and umbrella mercenaries are the best in video game history
How long do you think Jill took on deciding her outfit just prior to murdering a bunch of zombies? I would guess no less than twenty minutes.
Eh its not quite as stupid as one may think. Logically her Knee High boots should offer some protection against zombies biting her ankle (although this never happens in game) and same for the leather skirt but its still a pretty stupid outfit
An outfit won't protect you from a zombie bite with virus T though...
She's grab whatever she have on closet. Most of female detective act like this
probably, she maybe caught off guard when zombies invading her apartmenet when she was just resting or reloading the gun.
Eu posso apenas dizer que amo muito esse game!

this scene made me ... I can't describe the feeling of what I felt the first time I saw it, and now I'm 34 and still remember how scared I was like yesterday
This is true Resident Evil!
There is an ending in which Nicolai survived? I've never seen it before ...
How do you get the mikhael scene to play?
43:50 lol nemesis be like
Hurry the F up in there i aint got all day bitches
Jill is one the coolest girls on this game series she is too cool❤and brave beside Claire and Ada❤

😭
The best in the series without any doubt.
Point à la ligne.
the tonal difference in 4:40 vs 5:36 is crazy, what triggers the alt take? Is it trying to leave?
Dude that eyeball poking out of Nemesis' skull is way scarier than the bacon face they gave him in the remake
5:59, 24:12, 24:50, 39:24 these scenes always made me tears up ;_(
😢😢😢
They dropped the ball on remake
I miss the old resident evil so much, I hope the resident evil four remake is good
You can also talk to Carlos before going back to help Michail
44:18 there is another cutscene that Carlos saying"I just fought with that monster .
then they talk about Nicolae in other way :)
The one thing I hate about this game is how much lack of CGI cutscenes there were. They looked much better here, but were only 8 minutes.
Hell, Resident Evil 2 had *41 MINUTES of CGI cutscenes!*
Where is the scene where Nemesis is on the roof blasting zombies with his rocket launcher?
Waiting remake this childhood nightmares

I really like the vibe o this classic Carlos than the Remake Carlos.
How do you trigger the Carlos Murphy cutscene I always get nocoli
It all depends on whether you found Carlos in the Diner or the News Office, and what option you choose after. I don't remember exactly which leads to which, but one option in either location will result in Carlos meeting Murphy, and the other will result in Nicholai being there instead.
@@duobrown ah cheers, I’ve always met Carlos in the diner so might try a different play

I always tried to get the Carlos and Murray cutscene but I only got it once or twixe on 10 or more playthrough, what was I missing?

Because code Veronica had a great story on it’s own. It being not canon doesn’t take away with how good it was.
@@TheBengalDragon
Honestly I’m not 100% on that fact.
In total I found EIGHT, and I highlighted 7, 5 of them are in Degenerations...
So... have you figured out why no one else knows about the events of Code Veronica in its entirety, even into Revelations 2?
The closest Jill could have met Claire, Leon, Ada and Sherry was right in Raccoon City.
They won't do MCU thing
