Your channel is one of my most favorites, for numerous reasons. As a 72 year old woman, I have no need to learn how to build a yacht, make one good truck out of 3 bad ones, or learn how to fabricate equipment to suit your needs. I love your creativity, and willingness to spend the time making your homestead the best it can be. The humor you provide is just an added bonus. I sure love to laugh. In this video, I love the added roll bar to your mower!! Whatever keeps you SAFER is a great thing, and makes me very happy. You're a gem, Mike. Keep the videos coming. I'll be here watching.

Perfectly said! I am an almost 62 year old woman who feels exactly as you do. I'm also hooked on Dirt Perfect, Dig Drive DIY, Diesel Creek, Watch Wes Work, Upstate Brush Control, and others that really make no sense for me to watch. I can't do any of those things. I don't know how I even got started. I think I love them because they're just like my dad, who made do with what he had and came up with creative ways to make and fix things. Maybe, too, because they all seem to just be great people! I look forward to all of their videos!

Personally you’re right up in my top three favorites. I love these zero turn adaptations you came up with and you are quite innovative as to how to make stuff fit and work. Great job!!!

Too many mean and nasty naysayers have been enabled by the anonymity of TH-cam comments. As so many of us who view your eclectic path through your varied projects know, you are a not driven by ego or greed. You take other peoples cast offs and use your creative wit to frugally repurpose and modify things so they are of use to you and your family. We need more kind people like you and less of those who criticize just to be mean and nasty.

My "free" zero turn, is a 2008 White (MTD) 54 inch with less than 300 hours. It caught fire from a leaking gas shut off solenoid and burned all the plastic bits on the engine.
I stripped all the plastic off, including the intake manifold, sprayed a bit of Cosby sauce in the intake ports and it started right up ( with the battery that came with it and without doing any wiring).
I searched ebay and anywhere else I could think of to find parts I needed, and for less than $400, I now have a working 54 inch zero turn.
I had to do some work on the deck, getting pulleys to line up, and ended up replacing the crankcase gasket on the engine sump. I now have a great running, great mowing, ZT, that saves me lots of time mowing. It has a very slow leak in the left rear, that I may just fix with a shot of Slim.
I swear, I'll never go back to a conventional lawn mower again!

Haters hate others because they failed to learn or try or possibly there just horrible people. As we all know today nothing is cheap anymore so those who can use what we have at our disposal which IMHO saves lots of $$$. Always go for what makes us happy until we find something else that changes the whole game but still puts that smile on our face 😊. Adding ROP to your mowers a good idea but I hope you never need it...😅 Now you need some headlights... 😂

And when it does get used 5 years later, it's such a puffed-out-chest proud moment. I've put a heavy string on my riding mowers to lift the chute either with my foot or by hand for 20 plus years. Nothing nearly as fancy as yours. It makes it easier to get close to things on that side or lift when the grass is too tall. Great Video Mike.

You always wonder why people like to watch you. I'll tell you why we like watching you. Your viewers whether young and learning, or old and unable to anymore, and everything in between like to tinker, build, fabricate, ect, ect. Essentially work with our minds and hands. Yes their are MANY channels out their we can watch and do watch, but what sets you apart is that you dont take what your doing overly serious. You make what you have work. You have the skills to work in a professional shop, your at home working on projects that we can all relate to, and not a rocket ship going to mars (euphemism). Like a lil adjustment to a small bracket, and then you take a sledge hammer to it. That made me and likely others laugh. Your quips are relentless and they dont stop coming. Which keeps your content from becoming stale and boring. Seriously its like watching a red green comedy skit. We know though when your serious or when you need to be serious, even if your joking, but most of the time your just like us having fun tinkering on projects like the most of us. Hope this encourages you for making more content. Its hard work to be a content creator and a family man .Plus holding down a full time job. We appreaciate your content and and hard work you put into this channel. Keep it coming, we'll be watching.

Hi captain you are so right about Saving bits and pieces I get told I'm a Holder but you Never know when you're gonna need it As they say it's better to have it now than not have it later.

That was pretty fancy use of parts I just watched you scavenge from another machine. Carry on sir.

It’s not because of the chute lifter folks are thinking you’re getting to uppity. Oh contraire it’s that fancy pants cutting station you’ve set up. 🐶

Awesome job Mike and I love how you come you with these ideas. Definitely a time saver on the flip up chute and a good safety measure too.

You know you can use an impact wrench with your puller? If I was you I wouldn’t give a rats as_ about what other people think or say! If they want to leave your channel fine! I would rather watch you than any of the others! I watch you on cellular so I watch you first then go to DP because your content is more relaxing!

Excellent piece of engineering on the the chute lift bud, like the “ save this, I don’t know for what, but it cost money if you had to go buy it”, my problem is remembering where I put it. Great job young man, as always, enjoyed the video, appreciate your time and effort.
