She might have her little issues from time to time, but Clint finding that 555 for you has just been a huge help to the channel. Nice to see it moving some dirt again
That there is a big stump! Watching you pick away at it is a real good comparison between using a fairly small machine (555) and say DP's 120. The Triple Nickel will definitely get the job done, but it's a lot like digging a hole with a spoon versus a shovel. Both will certainly get the job done, but one is going to take a bit longer.😂 I love your optimism as you stand in an 8 foot hole.👌 The run whatcha brung is still gettin er done!🤙
Captain; Step #1=Do whatever the Admiral says to do, beginning with "Yes Dear", Step #2, Acknowledge the Elephant In The Room (a huge Stump in this case, and by acknowledging the problem you are on your way to a positive recovery), Step #3, Deal with whatever life throws your way (e.g. tires and blown hoses without blowing a head gasket), Step #4=Eat the elephant, one bite at a time, Step#5=A Three Pointer For The Win (perseverance, hard work and intestinal fortitude will get ya there)!! Mike, may y'all continue to be abundantly blessed and thanks for taking us along. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
That backhoe is a great addition to your property. It helps out a lot. Love your channel. You put a laugh and a smile on my face every time you post. Thank you for sharing! 👌 😊
Good day I had a Ford 555 two wheel drive in the past and I added rear tire chains and it made a huge difference in the traction. Just plain tire chains, nothing too aggressive because they have to clear the out riggers. It will be worth the money investment. Keep the videos coming!
The tree root issue is the reason I keep older chains around so I don’t tear up new chains in the dirt & rocks. Keep the good ones for above ground work.
👍 Glad you remarked on the hair cut first, way to go. I refused to pay for one once and they threatened to call the police, I sat down and asked "What are you waiting for because this s#!t right here is criminal"... manager showed up and agreed... cussed em' all the way out the door.
Instead of Don Quixote jousting windmills, we have Capt Kleeman jousting stumps! I love the way you don't get upset when things break - I don't have the same reaction. Stay strong and I'm looking forward to the next installment of "The Stump"
I remember my father digging a similar sized oak stump with the old Case W3 back in the late 70s.. it was also on a hillside, but sandy soil of Tidewater VA.. took him 3 weekends to get it out...the hole was big enough to bury the machine in!
Mike, your eternal optimism is a blessing! While others stand around and say, "Why?" or "It can't be done!" We're already doing it! I personally refuse to surrender to the negativity. Great video and keep up the work and positivity! Thanks, Lee!
Captain, This has been my lucky week. A Kleeman video yesterday and a Captain Kleeman video today. I am amazed at what you can get accomplished working by yourself. Heck it makes me tired just watching….lol. Stay safe Brother!
Last year I dug two big stumps out by my house. They weren't near as big as that and I'm almost as old as the back hoe. Took me three hard days by hand per tree Stomp. Best tool of all a double bladed axe
I was waiting for Mike to make a run for it with that battering ram and hit the stump as hard as possible. But I think his risk assessment determined that catastrophic breakage and possible roll over would ensue! The stump is putting up a good fight, but the 555 is slowly chipping away at it. The stump will bow down and the 555 will triumph!
The backhoe is such a beast. Once the dump truck is done, it would be cool to find a trailer to rebuild on the channel, and be able to haul it around to places like your brothers hunting property.
It’s coming along just fine, it can’t be done quickly, you have a lot of other things going on Mike, but your getting closer to what you want accomplished 👍👍🍮🍮😎😎
Hey, my old 1970 backhoe just developed a bad leak on a swivel fitting on loader arm, oh, thats right, its one i just put on 4,5 years ago... old crusty ones still going strong! Keep on digging sir!
I grubbed out a dead ash tree last week with my OC46 track loader. It wasn't nearly the size of that stump, but I hit a 6 inch tape root that didn't want to give up. I would have never gotten it out with just the smooth edge on the bucket, but I had my Piranha tooth bar(not a sponsor ;) ) on and ended up cutting it in two with that. It's been a great add on for clearing small trees and brush.
Oooh, oliver power! Nice I got an old 1970 white 2-63-15 backhoe, I got a soft maple stump loose but couldn't get it up out of the hole, so down deeper it went! Lol
Hello Mike. I think I recognize the new walkway to the Yacht. If I am correct, it was involved in palletizing some rock. That stump is right next to leaning on over for removal. Have good days!
One of the best things about your channel is seeing identical struggles to those I have, and knowing at least, I'm not the only one. I also get to see someone else explore the riddle of "which is stronger, the hydraulics, the stump, or the main bucket pin?" (Spolier alert, I've got a two hour plus round trip to purchase a bucket pin to replace one now shaped roughly like a banana.) 😁 Thanks for the video, take care!
You and Diesel Creek need to hook up for a collaboration video. Love the old tractor, my dad was a heavy equipment operator. If it moved dirt, dug up something, or graded something, he was all over it. Keep them coming, can't wait see see more of the dump truck job. Thanks for the videos.
Mike you impress so much i don't know what kind of comment to say, but i did notice that you took the heater out of the garage and put in the woods,if you can keep it going for a while it will dry out the boat 😁great video i enjoyed every minute of it 👍👍👍👍👍
The 555 is earning its keep! Lots of fun removing stumps. The sawzall with a demo blade saves a lot of digging. I add a little extra set in the teeth to minimize pinch.
the old 555 is giving as good as it gets can't fault it one bit not bad for a machine that C&C might have scrapped you got for nothing . Haven't seen many ford backhoes over here in Scotland mostly JCB's but your old fordy is doing excellant work
Mike I had a no charge condition with my 555 and nursed it for a long time only to find a blown fuse keeping the edited wire dead. There's only a few fuses, might be a simple one.I loved you triple nickel videos.
I put a quick disconnect on all my equipment's negative battery terminals. I also use a 8x16" solar panel on each piece of equipment. My 6 ton excavator sat all winter, and the battery was at 12.7 volts this spring and started right up. The disconnect gets rid of parasitic draws that all machines seem to have. There are better tools for digging out stumps, but like you said, the backhoe gets the job done. I just dug one out last week with my L48. It always feels sooo satisfying when the stump pulls over or spins out. Keep up the good work!
Ive got an old jcb 3c and other old kit they all have no altinator and a cheap grp solar pannel i think 20w with a cheap charge controller. I have only once had to charge the jcb mid winter when i was using it every day for a week. They work great with the bonus that the batterys dont go flat when they sit not being used as well. Love your channel!
Wow Captain the 555 is Earning its money I think it needs some more Heavier white under the front to keep the front wheel down . Shame about the hoses keep blowing but as you said you will replace them eventually👍. Ralph in the UK
Hi Mike. I can tell you from experience that a backhoe is much better than a shovel. Many years ago, I spent the better part of a summer working to remove a stump that was somewhat smaller than yours with just hand tools. It was not fun at all. That one might have a really big tap root going straight down. You'll get her, the 555 will pull through!
I got so excited when I saw a new Captain video I nearly spilt my beer 😁 I love the sounds of the 555 in action. You are a superb example of a driven person , you work so hard. Excellent as always Mike. Thank you 👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
Always great videos Mike as far as your boat cabin for the children, you should have a little story like there was a great flood in this boat was left here after the great flood, something like that, some kind of legend for the children for the children that come with their families that is
Great video Captain, as usual. Sorry that the stump is not giving up easily but that just means that you'll need to spend more time to defeat it and hopefully you'll take us along. Stay safe sir!
Good morning sunshine! I'm late to the video today but I finally made it! Lol! Your humor & outlook on things make me chuckle & most of the time laugh really loud! Lol! Great video as always! Thanks for brightening my morning! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Well I have to tell you I went back and watched all the Yacht videos this past weekend to bring me up to speed. I really understand the process of building and working by one self. I am so glad that you do so many different things, you are never boring and I get anxious when it's a day before you post, so I go watch something else you've done years before or the just Kleeman channel,I must say you are refreshing, loved the battering ram idea maby a stick of dynamite 💥😉
Ole triple nickel comes thru again, sure has been a sweet machine for meeting your needs. Changing hoses as needed works for me, enjoyed watching, thanks for the update sir.
Iv used a standard 12v soler panel one my bobcat for a couple years it was a great camping folding soler panel you can probably pick one up on market place or on special new cheep✌️👏
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Interesting and entertaining as always. Sorry I didn’t warn you about the tire, I was listening while fixing breakfast. I backed the video up and tried to warn you but you just ignored me. Your slip calling the backhoe a dozer and correcting yourself reminded me of a pet peeve. Don’t you just hate when a self exclaimed expert calls every piece of equipment that works in the dirt a dozer. So far I think about the only thing I haven’t seen called a dozer is a roller, I’m still waiting, I’m confident it’ll happen eventually. Was half expecting to see you make one of the Timbers into a pulling lever like farmers used to use with teams of horses. That’s about the only thing you haven’t tried besides a pressure washer with a turbo tip. Looking forward to seeing your continued adventures, wishing you and your family the best. Try cleaning the terminal cable contact on the alternator, not the battery. You would be surprised the issues a dirty power/ground connection can cause. Sandpaper will work wonders... Good luck. Cheers!
The Kleeman Krhonikles continue.....I tell ya what bud, the 555 is like a "dirt Swiss Army knife." Jack of a lot of trades and a semi-master of most. Good progress is being made on the task of gathering up the Admiral's rocks and also on her secondary project of having the boat house overlooking her rock garden. 🤣 Aa always....great channel, great content.
There's a sawzall blade that is made for cutting branches/limbs off trees. It has a very aggressive tooth design that looks like the old two man hand saws used for cutting down trees but with more and different height teeth. This type of blade works good for cutting roots when removing stumps. It works much better on tree limbs and roots than the regular wood cutting blades or the demolition blades that are made to cut through nails and wood. The first time I used one, it surprised me how fast it cut thru a tree limb, and it will cut thru lumber just about like it's cutting warm butter. I've also had the same one for over five years, used it a bunch of times, and it still cuts good as new. They work great is what I'm saying. Get one. You'll be happy with it. 👍
Hello mike! Looks like round one is a tie! Lol. Do you have a comealong? You could use it to help pull ove that stump ! Also having a set chain for cutting out roots and wood under ground is a good idea! Sawyer that do fire trail work do! That and having a good sharp palaski is so nice of a tool! Just dig out as far around the wood as you can then cut it some times just 3/4 thru is all you need. AND THE YAGHT looks amazing
that ole 555 has come up against a match power for power for sure with that stump but I Expect your gonna get er done! Another great vid MIke keep em coming bud
MIKE, keep on pluggin! A lot today, and a lot ta'mar . Er is it ... a little ta'day, a little ta'mar? Either way, yer stayin busy. In the dictionary.... "planning" always comes before "progress"! Yer makin it happen! Carry on Capt'n.
She might have her little issues from time to time, but Clint finding that 555 for you has just been a huge help to the channel. Nice to see it moving some dirt again
It's been a big asset for sure
The Kleeman comedy hour, where else can you see an excavation video turn into a mechanics video? Good video Mike, educational and entertaining!
Lol appreciate ya watching

I get the biggest kick of your humor like the sun!!! Said so matter factly. Great video as usual. Have a great day.
Thanks, you too!

Using big toys to play in the dirt on a sunny day... A dream of every man.
makes me want to buy a piece of land to have an excuse to buy a backhoe.
You got that right!
Thanks Mike, put this towards the toothed bucket fund.
Thanks for the support! Definitely appreciated
I remember my father digging a similar sized oak stump with the old Case W3 back in the late 70s.. it was also on a hillside, but sandy soil of Tidewater VA.. took him 3 weekends to get it out...the hole was big enough to bury the machine in!
🤣🤣 I feel his pain
Now that it's exposed, you can burn the trash all around it and eventually it will do well below grade!
Mike you make that old triple Nicole look pretty smooth! My first tractor was a 1966 Case 430 that I put a Ford loader on and got me by for 20 years!
Mike, your eternal optimism is a blessing! While others stand around and say, "Why?" or "It can't be done!" We're already doing it! I personally refuse to surrender to the negativity. Great video and keep up the work and positivity! Thanks, Lee!
Captain,

It's always something, Captain. Glad to see the Admiral's instructions are followed! I'd hate to see you demoted!
"We're back on the happy side of the hole" - Captain Kleeman 2024 That possible innocent double entendre had me rolling.
"sneaking a round the corner to do some hoe work" priceless
Monster stump putting up quite the challenge but I’m sure that you will come out on top, eventually. 😂
Stay safe Captain.
That 555 has sure been perfect for the Captain... what a work horse it is !
The backhoe is such a beast. Once the dump truck is done, it would be cool to find a trailer to rebuild on the channel, and be able to haul it around to places like your brothers hunting property.
Thats a good workout for the ol backhoe but i have faith that stump is a goner in the end , keep up the good work 👍🇺🇸
It’s coming along just fine, it can’t be done quickly, you have a lot of other things going on Mike, but your getting closer to what you want accomplished 👍👍🍮🍮😎😎
“That’s okay. I’ve got a little bit of a plan.”
That’s the plans that usually get you into the most trouble.
Hey, my old 1970 backhoe just developed a bad leak on a swivel fitting on loader arm, oh, thats right, its one i just put on 4,5 years ago... old crusty ones still going strong! Keep on digging sir!

@@jimkavalier2831 It's an Oliver, but a 3 cylinder Hercules gas engine , all 26 HP ;)
You wouldn't believe how many times I rocked forward as you pushed. I tried my best to help. We'll get her next time.
That admiral must run a tight ship!!
your perseverance on the 555 (and all projects really) is admirable. keeping it real is also refreshing.
Hello Mike. I think I recognize the new walkway to the Yacht. If I am correct, it was involved in palletizing some rock. That stump is right next to leaning on over for removal. Have good days!
Mike you always give me a smile on my face. Thank you for the humor and of course all the great videos.
Mike, I had to chuckle when you were driving the 555. It reminded me of Eddie Albert driving his tractor on Green Acres. Yes, I am that old. Tom
Great job on the back hole can't wait to see more videos of it working right for 🎉
Good morning Mike. Great video as always. Admire your work ethic. Thanks again for sharing your day with all your subscribers.
Appreciate ya watching!
I just watched all the 555 series. Love your can do attitude and just making it work.
Cheers
One of the best things about your channel is seeing identical struggles to those I have, and knowing at least, I'm not the only one. I love the way you phrase things.👏👏👏
You and Diesel Creek need to hook up for a collaboration video. Love the old tractor, my dad was a heavy equipment operator. If it moved dirt, dug up something, or graded something, he was all over it. Keep them coming, can't wait see see more of the dump truck job. Thanks for the videos.
That is one TENACIOUS stump!!!
Great work. From Quebec Canada 🇨🇦 👋🏼
I’m just hoping one day I wake up and find Captain Kleeman/Ants Pants collab video. Can you imagine the the joy?
Mike you impress so much i don't know what kind of comment to say, but i did notice that you took the heater out of the garage and put in the woods,if you can keep it going for a while it will dry out the boat 😁great video i enjoyed every minute of it 👍👍👍👍👍
The Ol' Triple Nickel still doing the job.
The 555 is earning its keep! Lots of fun removing stumps. The sawzall with a demo blade saves a lot of digging. I add a little extra set in the teeth to minimize pinch.
The old girl 555 still doing her job and few bumps in the way but Mike your still getting done with what you had planned great video thanks
I love this channel….not more than the other one but almost as much.
Captain does give good advice, and he listens to all of them. Keep on trucking.
the old 555 is giving as good as it gets can't fault it one bit not bad for a machine that C&C might have scrapped you got for nothing . Haven't seen many ford backhoes over here in Scotland mostly JCB's but your old fordy is doing excellant work
I know the Ford backhoe is old but resorting to battering ram is hilarious 🤣
Mike I had a no charge condition with my 555 and nursed it for a long time only to find a blown fuse keeping the edited wire dead. There's only a few fuses, might be a simple one.I loved you triple nickel videos.
hello Mike & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Mike & Friends Randy
Good fight you two will get it removed. Thanks for sharing. See you on the next one.
Mike mounted on his trusty 555 jousting with a big burned out stump - what a picture.
Any day on a backhoe is better than just about anything else. Great video, Mike.
Yup!
I have the kind that attach to the negative terminal, and you just turn the knob to disconnect it. They sell them on Amazon and also auto stores.
It has a disconnect 👍
That there stump is a good candidate for a stick of dynamite!
Thank you 👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
Always great videos Mike as far as your boat cabin for the children, you should have a little story like there was a great flood in this boat was left here after the great flood, something like that, some kind of legend for the children for the children that come with their families that is
Progress is a plus. Your no quit attitude is amazing. I bet there are moments when you think how much for the 210 for a day haha. Stay safe
Great video Captain, as usual. Sorry that the stump is not giving up easily but that just means that you'll need to spend more time to defeat it and hopefully you'll take us along. Stay safe sir!
Ya gota love mom and pop stores as they are always the best
Good morning sunshine! I'm late to the video today but I finally made it! Lol! Your humor & outlook on things make me chuckle & most of the time laugh really loud! Lol! Great video as always! Thanks for brightening my morning! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Whenever you got to do replacement on parts just think of it as your rental price for the day that will pay you back in the future 👍 good progress
Well I have to tell you I went back and watched all the Yacht videos this past weekend to bring me up to speed. I really understand the process of building and working by one self. Yes it would go much faster if ya had help but one becomes a much better mechanic by working by yourself, it keeps that brain pan working out those struggles. I have to say you are one heck of a trade mechanic. Some will not understand what that is, they are the ones asking why so many screws and wood.
I do have a question I have not heard you address about the build, that is will you have some type of heat source in the building for late fall early spring??
Yes a fella needs a backhoe ;-), Gary

another great video, and a fresh haircut!!!
huge success-- take the wife and kids out to eat a nice meal--lets go captain
Ps I always liked the Sawzall Axe blades for dirt work.
In fairness to the Admiral, those were some nice rocks.😸
Captian and the triple nickel jousting at the you tube Yachat. Thanks for the great content!
Sick of dynamite 🧨 would have done the trick, stay safe, strong and healthy my friend God bless.
Nice to see the triple nickel in action again.
Another wonderful video! Thumbs up! Safety first! Jim
Another great video. That stump is putting up a battle. You'll beat it. Looking forward to the next video when you show that stump who's boss.
Maybe a small bit of explosives can help? Some black-powder or so? ;-)
Thanks for all the great videos Captain!
Try cleaning the terminal cable contact on the alternator, not the battery. You would be surprised the issues a dirty power/ground connection can cause. Sandpaper will work wonders... Good luck. Cheers!
That looks like a good start of a pond.
Lol going to be a big hole for sure
Great outro there Capt. Sure do love those good ones. (snicker, snicker)
The Kleeman Krhonikles continue.....I tell ya what bud, the 555 is like a "dirt Swiss Army knife." Jack of a lot of trades and a semi-master of most. Hey Bud nice to see you, haven't seen anything for a while.
Still posting twice a week. Might double you're still subscribed. Some people are saying TH-cam unsubscribed then
Your skills with backhoe are really good but I wish you had a mini excavator. I know probably not in budget now . Maybe one day. Love your channel.
that ole 555 has come up against a match power for power for sure with that stump but I Expect your gonna get er done! Another great vid MIke keep em coming bud
I love your haircut captain, USMC😊😊
Newer a dull moment
Captain Kleeman, best to listen to the Admiral, her word is law . Lol I call mine the warden. 😮😅😅😅😅😅😅😊
Thanks Mike for sharing my friend! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻
