Funny little owl, Andy! Love the somewhat shocked expression on its/their face/s, ha ha ha... Always a cheerful sight, though, these little creatures, and great to play with! We have got a "Chasperli Theater" in English "Little Jasper's Theatre" for the little ones which is called Judy & Punch in the UK, if I remember correctly... Anyway, my sister and I are rehearsing some kind of small play to surprise the little ones... There is still way to go is all I can say, but we have a lot of fun with incorporating all sorts of creatures that we can find, wooden or knitted or whatever, you know... Saul the Owl would make a great character in there, ha ha ha... Well, King Lear next! Have a great week, Andy, take care! Byeeee, Jude

Another great project,I turned two spheres after watching you doing it,I guess now it’s time to put them back on the lathe and finish them off as you have done. Great idea for the eyes,thanks for sharing

Andy, another big hit in our household! Those are terrific! I love watching your process for the faces. The indent for the eyes is brilliant! Thank you for bringing a smile to my day! It's always a pleasure to watch the little creatures come to life. These are particularly cute with their wide eyes and little beaks. You seemed to be adjusting to the bright sunshine just a bit in the end. We tend to go the opposite way here with a lot of sun and too little rain. We did get the remnants of the Pacific hurricane Hilary which brought rain the likes of which is rarely seen here. It gave me a few days break from toting sprinklers around!
