I’ve had many internal battles regarding the valuation of my art. You know, that voice in you that says “who do you think you are, Michelangelo?” At some point, artists have to recognize the value of what went into their creations, put a monetary value on them (if they plan to sell), and don’t let anyone lessen that value. I’ve participated in a few art shows, and attended even more, and it never ceases to amaze me how people act like they are at a garage sale, trying to nickel and dime you down. I’ve purchased several pieces of art at shows and have never, and would never, ask someone if they would take less. If I am so moved by a piece, enough to want to purchase, I respect that the artist has created something that has touched me and deserves what they are asking. My two cents. 😊
Absolutely 🙌🏼 I agree. I guess people value different things in different ways. I personally wouldn’t pay thousands for a small handbag 👜. However, I would pay thousands for a piece of art that moved me and deeply resonated.
A most enjoyable video. Your art was beautiful and the accompanying music made it very relaxing.
Thank you very much Debra. I’m so happy you enjoyed.
Beautiful! Also, a very valuable lesson to us all to value ourselves enough. Thanks so much for sharing! 🌷
Yes 🙌🏼 because if we don’t value ourselves and our work, how can we expect others too. Thanks so much for watching♥️
Un trevall merabellos que trasmiteix armonia. Salutacions ❤
Moltes gràcies, m'alegro que hagis gaudit. La pintura a l'aquarel·la us pot portar a una bella aventura.
Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed. Watercolor painting can take you on a beautiful adventure.
Mesmerising as usual, we all battle with our true value at some level, but really we are all great at we do and we are where we should be at the time, there is always someone else who we are captivated by, like I am when I watch you and others alike, I know I can’t produce the same work but I am learning and taking a little something from it every time and that makes me happy 🙏🏻
There’s always someone else 😊 we are unique individuals, with always something new to learn. I think it was Michelangelo who said “…I am still learning” I should have looked that up 😂 but I’m pretty sure it was him.
Indeed, I am 63 and I am definitely still learning, or rather I now have more to discover what I love to do
