Solid video. It was straight to the point, no useless walkaround of things unrelated

Good video. Pertaining to the sway bar end links: some manufacturers ( including Mevotech ) have changed the design, so that it does away with that pesky inner nut, and instead uses an allen key placed inside the end of the bolt. The allen key is used to hold the bolt while tightening the outer nut down. This totally eliminates the need of having to deal with an inner nut that requires a thin wrench getting pinched between the parts during installation. Mevotech makes very high quality, durable parts made for easier installation. I recently replaced my inner & outer tie rod ends, upper & lower ball joints, and sway bar end links using all Mevotech parts. You'll see a lot of mechanics on youtube lately, installing Mevotech chassis/suspension parts, and for much less money vs original Toyota parts that are grossly over-priced. Sure, the OEM Toyota parts are great, but Toyota charges way too much for them. Now when it comes to major parts such as the engine, I don't use anything but original Toyota parts. Example: NO aftermarket cylinder head comes close to the quality & durability of a factory Toyota head casting.

Is a CV Axle Boot a warranty repair or wear and tear fix? I😅 have an after-market warranty ?

I’d hate to have to replace it again, but if ya got a warranty and are up for it… gasket maker does wonders to hold ya over… just make sure to let it dry.

Why does my 97 have locking hubs and yours doesn’t?

Cause he has tha Auto locking type. Other being manual locking aisin hubs. Have em unlocked an use my 4wd low in Rwd only for like backing trailors.. through the pasture..pretending im a transfer truck sometime... manual is cooler prob

I love my 97.. just got an 02 an it has these. Its a different cv axle too this type has a 30 spline outet and a nut.. manuals have the 26 outer with splines to the end with a circlip groove half inch from the end.

Hmm weird, I have a 3.4 liter engine but it's a prerunner model so I guess I don't have to worry about such nonsense components 😂

Nope, just worry about snow, mud, and wet grass

@heathwest3718 It's still a decent offroader man, don't get why people hate the prerunners so much, it's more than enough for an average person, plus you get better gas mileage imo
